  • These ironmaster putters have been around a long time. I'm seen them in 1930's catalogs. Very interesting. My understanding is this putter is a late 1955 into 1956 model with the 'A' top mark. However, I may be wrong.

I would say that the Bullseye putter from Achushnet is one of the best of all time as well.

TGIF!!!! Sweet putter. I've been around quite awhile and I don't recall ever seeing one of these putters. Huh........Anyway I would think that the Macgregor V.I.P. TP 63 Centennial irons. One of the coolest looking irons as well. The face on them is exquisite. Chech them out. Looking forward to next Friday.................

I had one of these putters when I was a kid( I was born in 1960)..My neighbor who was like 50 at the time GAVE it to me. I DO remember the steel shaft had a "crimping" in the shaft near the hosel like the old bullseye putters.. So i dont know what year that would have made this putter. SAD story is . In 1974, I SOLD this putter for 50 bucks to a fellow golfer because I needed the cash. Stupid me, had I held on to this to this day it would be worth BIG BUCKS now...UGH!!

I have a Macgregor 314 flanged blade that looks like a dead copy of the Iron Master shape. It's just made out of brass instead of steel. Found it in a golf bag that some loser dumped in the woods behind my house. Great putter. Great feel. Also have a larger faced Wilson 8802

I just picked up on of these today. It doesn’t have the A on it and it has a 10 on the grip tip. It also doesn’t have an IM number… the oddest thing about it is it has copper shaft. Anyone know anything about mine?

I have a tommy armour iron masters putter with a hickory shaft and very little detail on the club head but it is labelled as the “Model A-5” and without the MacGregor logo. Anyone have any idea how old it may be?

The Kaplan Catalog doesn't show a 1956 Iron Master putter. So is it just conjecture that it's 1956?

Can you answer a question? What is the shaft tip diameter? Thank You.

Where do you find information on these old clubs. I have some old MacGregor tommy armour that I would love to put a date on them.

1967 was the last year for Armour. 1968 Iron Masters were MacGregor branding only.
