I would like to add that as a young person sit with older saints and listen to them. I grew up in a pastors home and I spent many hours listening to elder men of the church talk about the Bible. I brought them coffee or refilled their cups just so that I could hear them talk. Oh the knowledge that I gained from those times. Bits and pieces of knowledge that help me latter become a teacher and a pastor.

Off topic guys but a lot of the ideas brought up here remind me of Dr. Mike Heiser. Keep praying for him he's still battling cancer.

I really like Josh's point at 19:15 about were some of the Gospels already written when Paul's pens 1 Cor 15. The only point I would add is that the gospels didn't need to be wide circulation as Luke's gospel would be at 24/7 access to Paul, as it's author, Luke, is travelling with him for years. Paul probably held and read the first edition of Luke's scroll in his own hands.

That Mary is the Ark of the New Covenant and the Queen of Heaven was proved to me by typology and my eyes were opened when the Scriptures were opened up to me by this deeper sense of Scripture beyond the literal story.

@@georgefuentes4112 Yes George, I learned more deeply about the typological reading of Scripture from Roman Catholic Scholars. But I also have the Orthodox Study Bible as my primary "carry to church bible", which is loaded with the same typological notes. I'm Anglo-Catholic but I have been very influenced by RC teachers such as Brant Pitre, Scott Hahn, and John Bergsma, the latter of which (Dr. Bergsma) had significant email dialogue with each other. But also reading the Church Fathers and David Bercot's work.

Rehab's cord would be connected to the blood on the door post, so that the wrath of God would pass by. The wrath of God came upon Jericho, but passed over rahab. If you take that step first before going straight to the blood of jesus,

Typology is the key to scripture. Read Arlen Chitwoods books on Lamp Beoadcast. Typology through the whole Old Testament.

Suggestion: Invite Kevin Thompson (Beyond the Fundamentals) to discuss his interesting approach and 'objections' to "Systematic Theology."
I believe that such an encounter will definitely take you out of the "echo chamber!"

Would it be proper to see the third day of creation as typological for the resurrection? dry land comes out of water ( baptism symbolism which represents resurrection) and the "first fruits" (which represents resurrection) of the land begin to grow. Hebrews uses 7th day as typological so seems fitting 3rd day might be.

19:12 "Don't muzzle an ox while it's treading out the grain" is in the Torah, Deuteronomy 25:4. Not coming from Luke's Gospel at all. The Torah commandment is about being kind to your working animals in it's plain (peshat) meaning. But, Paul does a midrash on it and applies it to men. I think he must have another verse in mind, because that passage isn't from Luke at all.

Reading a study that there is no OT scripture that speaks to a suffering Messiah or Christ. That is the two concepts of Messiah and suffering are not joined in any OT text. Naked Bible Podcast episode 41, he addresses the title "Christ" with research notes using Logos Bible Software and notes from L.W. Hurtado NT scholar and professor. That said, I believe the conclusion is that it was shrouded throughout the OT of a suffering Messiah, Jesus and the following apostles bring this out in their teaching, they bring it into the light as it was previously hidden in the shadows of the OT.
