N will snap in episode 8, and it will be the most badass thing in the series, mark my words. We already have seen him in episodes 6 and 7 beginning to be a little less naive and optimistic, with him having to choose between following Tessa or Uzi, and him now remembering that he contributed to the death of the humans on earth, and the way he killed “Tessa” without hesitation. He has lost his first crush, his second crush, and what was kinda his mother figure, all in the span of like a single day. He is gonna go crazy, I’m sure of it.
Even though Nuzi is very obviously the main couple I feel like one of the worst ways to end the show is just having N and Uzi smooch and defeat the absolute solver with the power of friendship. N definitely needs some sort of character growth that isn’t related to Uzi in any way at all.

Im hoping N and V get some kind of "make up" scene where she apologises and tells him her mistake, because V only abandoned him to protect him and she realised that she had made a terrible choice when end episode 2 happens. N and Vs history is clearly hinted at to be important to both characters but we dont see anything past a spark and a blush with reassurance.
Im a huge N fan, but i think this video was very necessary to bring some awareness about the way this character was written, will rewatch again. Thank you Uncom!
I love N , but N does DESPERATELY need to be saved from being with Uzi only. I also enjoy nuzi, BUT I do want to see him have more screen time and solve stuff without her
I can kinda understand why they would go with that approach with N, basically making N and Uzi compatible as he is basically like a moral and emotional guidance for her and she is supposed to help him open up since he always hid many struggles of his beneath his whole Joy but it does get kind of "ehh" after a while since they become too dependent on each other, thats why i agree that the scene of them being seperated and even fighting is quite good as it shows again who N is and what he is capable of

Like what character arcs are needed for certain characters? How to make your MC interesting? How can you make certain villains and characters more interesting? Stuff like that
Honestly I just want more N & V moments or N and J seeing as Uzi is in space And J is near the lab fighting Thad and Lizzy and Khan V is surrounded by the dinosaur drones And N is outside the church that's underneath the lab were the dinosaurs are
N putting himself in danger to save others may not be normal behavior, but it’s not out of character for N. He would’ve done that for V or even J in a heartbeat and they barely cared about him. Uzi is one of the few people that cares about him and he probably still feels like he’s in the wrong for scaring her in episode 2. Of course he’d sacrifice himself to protect her.
Thing is is that things like N entering the colony to protect V. Or just being consistently the most competent character in the show is sides is sides I do think I think the show needs to explore more of. Ep8 is gonna decide the fate of the entire show with how they handle N character

It’s about time someone covered the most overrated character in the series. Good laws am I tired of people pretending he’s the absolute most perfect character. For too much of the series he’s just a wholesome characture.
I remember different MD analysis where they also point out N becoming doormat again. The twist is that they held opposite opinion on episodes 3-7. Clamed N grew spine around Uzi and could resist V, until "Tessa" showed up and he took his sweet time calling her out in 7th episode. I guess the consensus is that N was spineless, then got a backbone in some way, folded again and grew bolder again. If last episode ends with everyone in community agreeing that N indeed doesn't have scoliosis, then it doesn't matter how exactly he cured that. Let's hope it's good!

i am trying to see how you came to some conclusions, but it just doesn't make sense for example, why would Uzi not fear N after she saw what the eldrich monster did, and instead she would be disgusted Uzi and N are both fearing what the murder drones are and more over, confused, you got basically the whole point from episode 2 wrong (i started with this because it was the worst and evident mistake in the episode in my opinion) in the pilot, it showed of the start of the murder drone investigation, in the talk he had with J, we can see a lot of self questioning, where he would be shown to be right to question the company in episode 3 we see that the focus was shifted towards advancing another plot, but he keeps a similair attitude in episode 4 they both are separated, so technically your whole arguement for episode 6 should stay, but you still got a problem with this episode, because it was just focused on the absolute solver and bonding with Uzi to make episode 6 and 7 more high stake (yes, these are just to make later episodes better whilst showing more lore) episode 5 is a bit more tricky, it shows N in his purest form, he is showing his true character, and from the start we see that he is aware of his suroundings, picking up the clues that there's something wrong, and knowing instinctually that Uzi is trustworthy, if you haven't realized N isn't as clueless as you made him up to be, he is really self aware whilst pretending to be clueless (yeah, another big problem to your point but it needed more explaination thus i made another few paragraphs to better explain episodes to make the picture more clear) in episode 6 it shows his friendly side to dull the tension built over the episode in conclusion, i am strugling to see half of your points when you start the video with a bad take on episode 2 and than keep ignoring the other more evident details that do a better job at presenting the true side of N

This video is kind of funny because Uzi originally wasn't even meant to exist. In the glitch inn something that was mentioned was that apparently murder drones would have only N and V as main characters and that the worker drones would just be background characters! Then later on as the show developed Liam thought of Uzi. I'm not saying that I don't agree with the video btw, just saying that I find it funny N needs Uzi so much when originally she wasn't going to exist.
3:19 well your opinion but this shows that Uzi isn't just an angsty girl the main reason of his behavior towards others is mainly bce when she waa growing up she didn't have anyone to really rely on and count his problems and his dad wasn't the best at that as you can see that he was more interested on the doors that his own daughter, based on that uzi had to built up an strong personality so she can take his problems with more ease but in reality she needs help she need someone to talk with(my psichologist said me once: As human beings we need someone to tell our problems to since it is not healthy to retain them for a long time we need someone to trust,and N was the one making that possible
One thing I really wish murder drones had, and this isn't exactly a new or unique thing, but the series having longer and more episodes would make it so much better. I still love the show, but it has a serious issue with how fast the plot moves. Events that happen that should affect the characters for at least to the next episode, and would be perfect for character growth, are simply moved on from without any mention they ever happened. Another thing is that I wish there were moments where we see more of who N is. He could maybe have a scene where he breaks down about everything that is happening and Uzi talks to him about it. And/or there could be a scene where N and V finally talk about their past and she stops hiding things from him or something IDK. N is my favorite character and I really hope ep8 does a good job on his arc and in general.
Hard disagree with a number of the things you said. Case and point, the reactions you said N and Uzi had to each other at the end of ep 2. N wasn't scared and disgusted by Uzi, and Uzi was freaked out and shaken from everything that happened with Eldritch J, including the illusion of her father dying and J tricking her with a hologram of N. She didn't know what was real and what was fake, and had what she knew about Disassembly Drones thrown for a loop. So a freak out was expected, but by ep 3, she'd had time to calm down and think. Also disagree with what you've said about N's character. It's subtle, but the way he's evolving and adapting to things is evident. Case and point, the way he coldly killed Tessa. This shows the brutal levels he's willing to go to despite his innocent nature. In ep 8, thinking he lost Uzi, could unleash a more vicious side of him in his determination to stop Cyn.
I agree! The thing about N is that he really needed more moments that openly showed his development and who he is, but a lot of the concept is there. Also I was kinda thinking the same thing about the ep2 scene. They were both terrified in the moment but had time to calm down, it still should have been mentioned, but I don't think it was that bad.
Damn j didn't realize N was self harming. It's sad V was too scared to show care. (V didn't understand that she didn't have to focus fully on taking care of the two of thems survival and not showing her caring side till later which was sad but awesome as far as character development
N needed character development RIGHT after the pilot. He was basically a punching bag and idiot on top of just being attached to Uzi. They GAVE HIM SOME CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT in ep 7, episode 4 or 5 could have been his development movement ESPECIALLY with the zombie drones tape or just an N adventure in ep 5. Episode 6, I agree started his character development finally but episode 7 is where they actually catapulted it. Hopefully you’re right with episode 8 🎉 I agree with almost everything in this video ‼️‼️

Actually N doing anything to protect Uzi is very in character and not bad writing if he let two people who barely tolerated his existence abuse him while trying his best to win their affection then someone who shows him open genuine care for the first time in his life. Well yeah he would do anything for them. You gotta understand the fact N is extremely vulnerable and exploitable is not a writing flaw it just is who he is because he was beaten down so much and V didn't understand that he needed her to be emotionally there as a friend for him to be ok. See the thing is sure N laughs and has a outward cheery expression but he also is at least in rp 1-3 acting very realistically to how someone who is mentally ill may act and it made those scenes actually pretty sad
I enjoy content from someone who isn't afraid to disagree with the most vocal parts of the community. 1:09 I wouldn't treat this as seriously personally (it could've been just him trying to make who he though was a newbie DD not feel ashamed of stinging themselves), but I agree with the other things you've said. 5:43 That was very painful. It's bizzare to see him so abruptly switch against V, while still treating J pretty much the same, despite that toxic waste of metal being way worse. It's almost like it was forced in a hurry or not planned from the start, *huh.* I get that V is keeping secrets, and pertends to be a complete psycho, but she's a lot more tolerable than a girl who abused N and actually tried to kill him multiple times. Of all the people, you'd think that N would at least try to notice that she's doing all that to keep him safe. And not ignore when V openly told him "Yeah, I'm not doing ok". It's funny (or sad, depending on how you look at it) how a fan animatic treated and utilized V much better than the official series past this point.

I definitely enjoy the subtlety of her and how it rewards the viewer for looking deeper into her to really appreciate her to the fullest potential, but yes, intermission did a very good job at her and tbh I hope it becomes canon cuz this is exactly what she needs
@@blanterdang6112 The show does very well at hinting and rewarding actually looking into the show, but it doesn't do much beyond that, that's the issue. That would be perfectly fine at the start or even in the middle, to build up to the real reveal (which would be very important and impactful), but we're at the end now and they have a lot more other things to do which they'll probably do instead of giving V the treatment she deserves. Intermission has some issues that make it clash with the canon. Mainly how much damage Uzi can take (if this was the case, N would not hesitate like the did during the fight in episode 7), but also that V seems to only remember a little bit of the past, instead of most of it, which is much more likely to be the case imo. But those could be fixed with a few changes (or for example by stating that V was still hiding a chunk of the truth by saying that she only knew a little while she knew most of it, but that would hurt the scene itself a little bit). Still, that video is definitely canon worthy.
N gets attached to people too easily. He wasn’t exactly happy without Uzi in ep 4 in the camp. He liked V only because that was the only person he remembers having a relationship with (and who he knows is alive). He wa so desperate for someone like V. When Uzi came along and actually cared about him as well he immediately went with her. He clearly is desperate for someone to care.
I kinda disagree slightly that it diverged the wrong way after Ep4. While I do agree Ep2's cliffhanger wasn't as well handled. But not gonna lie I slept through Ep2 it just idk to me felt like not much happened. Ep5 is one I completely abominate. I also do agree Ep8 will be the deciding final ending thats gonna have to do a lot of good writing. Because right now we have Uzi floating in space everybody should be dead cause booom goes the weasel. Then theres the fact we have no place where the characters can be grounded. Copper9 did go out Earth style with less slaugtering. But were prob not gonna get a S2 unless they do time travel. Like Uzi and N can somehow go back in time before shes born. Sadly thats prob just wishful thinking.

@@HumanUzi J is a valid option, since we already have a pre established dynamic between the two, especially after we saw that N is the only one that is currently alive and knows about Tessa death and we know that J was very attached to her, N would tell to J about this and that would drastically change J and most likely develop their dynamic since it would be N the one to tell her + it would give screentime to J Also maybe more interactions with Cyn since she's the main antagonist + we saw that they had a dynamic in Ep 5

I find it annoying that they sidelined Thad, Kahn and Lizzy, killed off V and turned N into a lap dog all because Uzi couldn't hold a plot on her own instead of just writing a better character for her.
Just going to preface this that this isn't directed at the content of this video but of things said online that I've read over the course of enjoying Murder Drones. Honestly the whole thing about N "needing to snap" or "become the dominant character" or "become more powerful" as I've seen said in sooo many comments kind of bewilders me. Well, not really, more like disappoints me. It's pretty rare to see a male-coded character like him in anything that isn't aimed for kids older than preschoolers and it's nice to have variety. I've honestly enjoyed his character a lot specifically because of his personality. I'm not sure I want to wade into a debate about good or bad characters and, quite frankly, I'm not really qualified to make any remotely objective judgment. However I do get the feeling that at least some of the criticisms I've read about N are rooted less in objectivity and more in what they want N to be like or develop like and being disappointed that he might not be the character they want him to be. Though one issue I do have with this video is the interpretation of Uzi's emotions at the end of episode 2. At least to me, what I saw in that scene wasn't one of disgust but more of a fear about just what the disassembly drones are. I didn't see it as a judgment or disgust in N but the simple fear of whether or not such a thing could exist in N's programming too. Uzi's reaction seemed quite natural as an immediate fear response rather than something that would necessarily require a great effort at bridging a divide. I think the start of episode 3 really drives this home portraying Uzi as being immediately upset with herself about how she reacted to N. Starting off the episode with Uzi realizing she overreacted allowed, at least for me, to understand the character development in the rest of that episode. I also seem to be in the minority when it comes to really enjoying episode 5... 😅
first of all, she's simply shocked and afraid of him because he's seen what they really are, with Eldritch J, but eventually she'll realize that he'll never hurt her, so it's normal, because hanging out with a person or if he just feels like it he could kill you in 1 second when a short time ago he was your enemy, so it's understandable. for uzi who learns to use her power it's already the case, sure it could be better, but it is the case, she controls her power better and better with each episode, the more she uses it the better she gets at it. because as we can see, she doesn't manage to use it in episodes 2 and 3 and isn't aware of it in episode 1, and when she understands how it works, it's normal that she manages to use it correctly afterwards, because when you've understood, you've understood, and what's more, the most impressive things she does aren't her doing, but Cyn's. for your computer that if you don't keep it cool when there's a heatwave it doesn't grow garlic but just dies... that's the worst argument in the world, because your computer isn't as developed as MD's robots. so to say that the series is rush is completely subjective. moreover, N's relationship with uzi develops along with her, so he's not just a "moral support" until the end of episode 4. Finally, N and Uzi aren't together as long in the series as you say they are, episode 1, 4/3 of the time they're together, episode 2 all the time seems to be the episode where they're together the most, episode 3 only at the end, episode 4: a little at the beginning and a little at the end. episode 5: 4/3 of the time. episode 6: at the beginning and at the end. episode 7: a little at the beginning and a little at the end. So no, they're not that much at times, it seems.

@@Prisme0 I’ve been studying Liam Vickers for the last 2 years. Going through just about everything he’s ever made going back as far as 2012. He’s great at making stories. He’s by far my favorite story teller and artist of all time, but he’s far from a good writer. There are many examples in this here video that display flaws in how N is written. Any examples such as this will be and continue to be met with fandom-centric responses that miss the point. If I were to chip in my own point related to N that wasn’t pointed at in the video, it would be how much N ruins the tone of the show, most notably in eps 3-5. Often his upbeat character undermines the severity of the situation surrounding him making it harder to be invested with the stakes at hand.

N is perfect but overrated, I think severely. I enjoy*ed the series but ep 5 took me some time to understand. wana know what happened to Tessa. she got killed, the solver hid in Tessa. how didn't we know. one thing I'll say, the earth wasn't getting destroyed. it already got destroyed long ago. it was fake/old footage. I just realized now... the solver took over about the copper 9 system probably hopefully all humans and robot are killed... it failed but planned. All went to plan...
They could have just fixed episode 4 by just her reading a book while going to the campsite, literally just less than a minute for them to animate her reading a book, this is my way of fixing the problem you mention so don't judge me

Putting the blame on the show’s bad writing starting with Ep3 is a literal fact. Cry about it, bias fans. Uzi’s sudden trust and out-of-nowhere crush on N, along with her blowing off her dad’s attempt to help RUINS Ep2’s ending and well built up dynamics with N and not to mention Thad. Saying it feels like Ep2 didn’t matter, yeah. This is true. And since Ep3, the show has felt like any hogwash teen romance with a hint of creepy I could find *ANYWHERE ELSE.* There’s no hook starting with Ep3-6. The characters became stereotypes, the story was a mess and yet, painfully predictable and met with a lot of eye rolls from myself and many others fans. Episode 7 was the make or break of the show, and thankfully was REALLY good, I’d say it was the series’ return to form, and I felt like I was watching MURDER DRONES again after a year of flukes. I pray Episode 8 can nail its ending in a respectful and sensical way, that could maybe make the mid-series crap worth it. Let’s damn hope so for the writing’s sake. 🙏

In ep 2 she was just confused and realized she sayed something she didn't mean, And she clearly wants to fix the friendship she had with N in ep 3 by admitting she needs help in this chaos,ep 4 N literally let her know he wouldn't abandon her or despise her for what she has done, and Uzi start to get more comfty with him and trust him more, ep 5 it's true they coul had give us some little context early, so We can see that Uzi is worried about him and wants to help him, ep 6 Is where N has to do a hard decission and notices he can't do that bc he has a lot of memory's and good times with her and how she helped him back in ep 1 and ep 5 he knows that she trust him and starts to have a little mental breakdown abt the situation making him unsure of what he has to do making him not wanting to let her go bc of how much she means to him

I can kinda understand why they would go with that approach with N, basically making N and Uzi compatible as he is basically like a moral and emotional guidance for her and she is supposed to help him open up since he always hid many struggles of his beneath his whole Joy but it does get kind of "ehh" after a while since they become too dependent on each other, thats why i agree that the scene of them being seperated and even fighting is quite good as it shows again who N is and what he is capable of

N putting himself in danger to save others may not be normal behavior, but it’s not out of character for N. He would’ve done that for V or even J in a heartbeat and they barely cared about him. Uzi is one of the few people that cares about him and he probably still feels like he’s in the wrong for scaring her in episode 2. Of course he’d sacrifice himself to protect her.

Thing is is that things like N entering the colony to protect V. Or just being consistently the most competent character in the show is sides is sides I do think I think the show needs to explore more of. Ep8 is gonna decide the fate of the entire show with how they handle N character

It’s about time someone covered the most overrated character in the series.
Good laws am I tired of people pretending he’s the absolute most perfect character.
For too much of the series he’s just a wholesome characture.
I remember different MD analysis where they also point out N becoming doormat again.
The twist is that they held opposite opinion on episodes 3-7. Clamed N grew spine around Uzi and could resist V, until "Tessa" showed up and he took his sweet time calling her out in 7th episode.
I guess the consensus is that N was spineless, then got a backbone in some way, folded again and grew bolder again.
If last episode ends with everyone in community agreeing that N indeed doesn't have scoliosis, then it doesn't matter how exactly he cured that. Let's hope it's good!

i am trying to see how you came to some conclusions, but it just doesn't make sense
for example, why would Uzi not fear N after she saw what the eldrich monster did, and instead she would be disgusted
Uzi and N are both fearing what the murder drones are and more over, confused, you got basically the whole point from episode 2 wrong (i started with this because it was the worst and evident mistake in the episode in my opinion)
in the pilot, it showed of the start of the murder drone investigation, in the talk he had with J, we can see a lot of self questioning, where he would be shown to be right to question the company
in episode 3 we see that the focus was shifted towards advancing another plot, but he keeps a similair attitude
in episode 4 they both are separated, so technically your whole arguement for episode 6 should stay, but you still got a problem with this episode, because it was just focused on the absolute solver and bonding with Uzi to make episode 6 and 7 more high stake (yes, these are just to make later episodes better whilst showing more lore)
episode 5 is a bit more tricky, it shows N in his purest form, he is showing his true character, and from the start we see that he is aware of his suroundings, picking up the clues that there's something wrong, and knowing instinctually that Uzi is trustworthy, if you haven't realized N isn't as clueless as you made him up to be, he is really self aware whilst pretending to be clueless (yeah, another big problem to your point but it needed more explaination thus i made another few paragraphs to better explain episodes to make the picture more clear)
in episode 6 it shows his friendly side to dull the tension built over the episode
in conclusion, i am strugling to see half of your points when you start the video with a bad take on episode 2 and than keep ignoring the other more evident details that do a better job at presenting the true side of N

This video is kind of funny because Uzi originally wasn't even meant to exist. In the glitch inn something that was mentioned was that apparently murder drones would have only N and V as main characters and that the worker drones would just be background characters! Then later on as the show developed Liam thought of Uzi.
I'm not saying that I don't agree with the video btw, just saying that I find it funny N needs Uzi so much when originally she wasn't going to exist.

3:19 well your opinion but this shows that Uzi isn't just an angsty girl the main reason of his behavior towards others is mainly bce when she waa growing up she didn't have anyone to really rely on and count his problems and his dad wasn't the best at that as you can see that he was more interested on the doors that his own daughter, based on that uzi had to built up an strong personality so she can take his problems with more ease but in reality she needs help she need someone to talk with(my psichologist said me once:
As human beings we need someone to tell our problems to since it is not healthy to retain them for a long time we need someone to trust,and N was the one making that possible
One thing I really wish murder drones had, and this isn't exactly a new or unique thing, but the series having longer and more episodes would make it so much better. I still love the show, but it has a serious issue with how fast the plot moves. Events that happen that should affect the characters for at least to the next episode, and would be perfect for character growth, are simply moved on from without any mention they ever happened. Another thing is that I wish there were moments where we see more of who N is. He could maybe have a scene where he breaks down about everything that is happening and Uzi talks to him about it. And/or there could be a scene where N and V finally talk about their past and she stops hiding things from him or something IDK. N is my favorite character and I really hope ep8 does a good job on his arc and in general.

Hard disagree with a number of the things you said. Case and point, the reactions you said N and Uzi had to each other at the end of ep 2. N wasn't scared and disgusted by Uzi, and Uzi was freaked out and shaken from everything that happened with Eldritch J, including the illusion of her father dying and J tricking her with a hologram of N. She didn't know what was real and what was fake, and had what she knew about Disassembly Drones thrown for a loop. So a freak out was expected, but by ep 3, she'd had time to calm down and think.
Also disagree with what you've said about N's character. It's subtle, but the way he's evolving and adapting to things is evident. Case and point, the way he coldly killed Tessa. This shows the brutal levels he's willing to go to despite his innocent nature. In ep 8, thinking he lost Uzi, could unleash a more vicious side of him in his determination to stop Cyn.
I agree! The thing about N is that he really needed more moments that openly showed his development and who he is, but a lot of the concept is there. Also I was kinda thinking the same thing about the ep2 scene. They were both terrified in the moment but had time to calm down, it still should have been mentioned, but I don't think it was that bad.

Damn j didn't realize N was self harming. It's sad V was too scared to show care. (V didn't understand that she didn't have to focus fully on taking care of the two of thems survival and not showing her caring side till later which was sad but awesome as far as character development
N needed character development RIGHT after the pilot. He was basically a punching bag and idiot on top of just being attached to Uzi. They GAVE HIM SOME CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT in ep 7, episode 4 or 5 could have been his development movement ESPECIALLY with the zombie drones tape or just an N adventure in ep 5. Episode 6, I agree started his character development finally but episode 7 is where they actually catapulted it. Hopefully you’re right with episode 8 🎉 I agree with almost everything in this video ‼️‼️

Actually N doing anything to protect Uzi is very in character and not bad writing if he let two people who barely tolerated his existence abuse him while trying his best to win their affection then someone who shows him open genuine care for the first time in his life. Well yeah he would do anything for them.
You gotta understand the fact N is extremely vulnerable and exploitable is not a writing flaw it just is who he is because he was beaten down so much and V didn't understand that he needed her to be emotionally there as a friend for him to be ok.
See the thing is sure N laughs and has a outward cheery expression but he also is at least in rp 1-3 acting very realistically to how someone who is mentally ill may act and it made those scenes actually pretty sad

I definitely enjoy the subtlety of her and how it rewards the viewer for looking deeper into her to really appreciate her to the fullest potential, but yes, intermission did a very good job at her and tbh I hope it becomes canon cuz this is exactly what she needs
@@blanterdang6112 The show does very well at hinting and rewarding actually looking into the show, but it doesn't do much beyond that, that's the issue. That would be perfectly fine at the start or even in the middle, to build up to the real reveal (which would be very important and impactful), but we're at the end now and they have a lot more other things to do which they'll probably do instead of giving V the treatment she deserves.
Intermission has some issues that make it clash with the canon. Mainly how much damage Uzi can take (if this was the case, N would not hesitate like the did during the fight in episode 7), but also that V seems to only remember a little bit of the past, instead of most of it, which is much more likely to be the case imo. But those could be fixed with a few changes (or for example by stating that V was still hiding a chunk of the truth by saying that she only knew a little while she knew most of it, but that would hurt the scene itself a little bit). Still, that video is definitely canon worthy.

N gets attached to people too easily. He wasn’t exactly happy without Uzi in ep 4 in the camp. He liked V only because that was the only person he remembers having a relationship with (and who he knows is alive). He wa so desperate for someone like V. When Uzi came along and actually cared about him as well he immediately went with her. He clearly is desperate for someone to care.

I kinda disagree slightly that it diverged the wrong way after Ep4. While I do agree Ep2's cliffhanger wasn't as well handled. Also maybe more interactions with Cyn since she's the main antagonist + we saw that they had a dynamic in Ep 5

Just going to preface this that this isn't directed at the content of this video but of things said online that I've read over the course of enjoying Murder Drones.
Honestly the whole thing about N "needing to snap" or "become the dominant character" or "become more powerful" as I've seen said in sooo many comments kind of bewilders me. Well, not really, more like disappoints me. It's pretty rare to see a male-coded character like him in anything that isn't aimed for kids older than preschoolers and it's nice to have variety. I've honestly enjoyed his character a lot specifically because of his personality. I'm not sure I want to wade into a debate about good or bad characters and, quite frankly, I'm not really qualified to make any remotely objective judgment. However I do get the feeling that at least some of the criticisms I've read about N are rooted less in objectivity and more in what they want N to be like or develop like and being disappointed that he might not be the character they want him to be.
Though one issue I do have with this video is the interpretation of Uzi's emotions at the end of episode 2. At least to me, what I saw in that scene wasn't one of disgust but more of a fear about just what the disassembly drones are. I didn't see it as a judgment or disgust in N but the simple fear of whether or not such a thing could exist in N's programming too. Uzi's reaction seemed quite natural as an immediate fear response rather than something that would necessarily require a great effort at bridging a divide. I think the start of episode 3 really drives this home portraying Uzi as being immediately upset with herself about how she reacted to N. Starting off the episode with Uzi realizing she overreacted allowed, at least for me, to understand the character development in the rest of that episode.
I also seem to be in the minority when it comes to really enjoying episode 5... 😅
first of all, she's simply shocked and afraid of him because he's seen what they really are, with Eldritch J, but eventually she'll realize that he'll never hurt her, so it's normal, because hanging out with a person or if he just feels like it he could kill you in 1 second when a short time ago he was your enemy, so it's understandable.
for uzi who learns to use her power it's already the case, sure it could be better, but it is the case, she controls her power better and better with each episode, the more she uses it the better she gets at it. because as we can see, she doesn't manage to use it in episodes 2 and 3 and isn't aware of it in episode 1, and when she understands how it works, it's normal that she manages to use it correctly afterwards, because when you've understood, you've understood, and what's more, the most impressive things she does aren't her doing, but Cyn's.
for your computer that if you don't keep it cool when there's a heatwave it doesn't grow garlic but just dies... that's the worst argument in the world, because your computer isn't as developed as MD's robots.
so to say that the series is rush is completely subjective.
moreover, N's relationship with uzi develops along with her, so he's not just a "moral support" until the end of episode 4.
Finally, N and Uzi aren't together as long in the series as you say they are, episode 1, 4/3 of the time they're together, episode 2 all the time seems to be the episode where they're together the most, episode 3 only at the end, episode 4: a little at the beginning and a little at the end. episode 5: 4/3 of the time. episode 6: at the beginning and at the end. episode 7: a little at the beginning and a little at the end. So no, they're not that much at times, it seems.
None of this applies to 99% of the casual audience.
From any objective media literate perspective, this character was fumbled hard.

I’ve been studying Liam Vickers for the last 2 years. Going through just about everything he’s ever made going back as far as 2012. He’s great at making stories. He’s by far my favorite story teller and artist of all time, but he’s far from a good writer.
There are many examples in this here video that display flaws in how N is written. Any examples such as this will be and continue to be met with fandom-centric responses that miss the point.
If I were to chip in my own point related to N that wasn’t pointed at in the video, it would be how much N ruins the tone of the show, most notably in eps 3-5. Often his upbeat character undermines the severity of the situation surrounding him making it harder to be invested with the stakes at hand.

I just realized now... the solver took over about the copper 9 system probably hopefully all humans and robot are killed...

Putting the blame on the show’s bad writing starting with Ep3 is a literal fact. Cry about it, bias fans.
Uzi’s sudden trust and out-of-nowhere crush on N, along with her blowing off her dad’s attempt to help RUINS Ep2’s ending and well built up dynamics with N and not to mention Thad.
Saying it feels like Ep2 didn’t matter, yeah. This is true. And since Ep3, the show has felt like any hogwash teen romance with a hint of creepy I could find *ANYWHERE ELSE.*
There’s no hook starting with Ep3-6. The characters became stereotypes, the story was a mess and yet, painfully predictable and met with a lot of eye rolls from myself and many others fans.
Episode 7 was the make or break of the show, and thankfully was REALLY good, I’d say it was the series’ return to form, and I felt like I was watching MURDER DRONES again after a year of flukes. I pray Episode 8 can nail its ending in a respectful and sensical way, that could maybe make the mid-series crap worth it.
Let’s damn hope so for the writing’s sake. 🙏

In ep 2 she was just confused and realized she sayed something she didn't mean, And she clearly wants to fix the friendship she had with N in ep 3 by admitting she needs help in this chaos,ep 4 N literally let her know he wouldn't abandon her or despise her for what she has done, and Uzi start to get more comfty with him and trust him more, ep 5 it's true they coul had give us some little context early, so We can see that Uzi is worried about him and wants to help him, ep 6 Is where N has to do a hard decission and notices he can't do that bc he has a lot of memory's and good times with her and how she helped him back in ep 1 and ep 5 he knows that she trust him and starts to have a little mental breakdown abt the situation making him unsure of what he has to do making him not wanting to let her go bc of how much she means to him
