Which one do you like most? Is the OnePlus 9 Pro Camera worth the upgrade especially with the second camera update? Or is the OnePlus 8 Pro good for another year?
The differences are so minimal to us average people. I don’t see any justification of charging more one plus 9 pro. No one zooms in to check picture, you don’t have the time or patience. Get 8pro and save some 💵
I prefere the OP8pro in daytime because the 9pro crushes the shadows in some pictures. 2:30 tree trunk on the left 2:39 trees in the background, people sitting in the chair 4:03 again trees and the building. And it is much to saturated in my opinion. I don´t like the water color
Huawei Mate 20 Pro from 2018 is still competitive haha. It has all the versetality you need, night mode, ultrawide lens, 3x zoom, OIS. Only thing bad about it is the 4k recording and selfie camera. Buy a flagship that could have features for the future use. Not one like Oneplus, which doesn't offer anything futuristic.
Seems like it would naturally have a little more detail, so it’s a pity they added that much sharpening. Makes photos look crunchy imo especially with trees
Man u're so dedicated and energetic! Continuously giving us comparisons after comparisons and help us choosing the best out of them. You even bothered to make another comparison after the update that's another level. I love ur videos.
I just got the op8 pro but camera wasn't what I expected and I'm thinking getting rid of it...what do you suggest me? I had a pixel 4 xl before the op8 pro
@@achel2006 I only got my OP Pro recently, as an upgrade from the 6t. I think the photo and video is very good. If you want, try a GCam apk and try out the Google Pixel Camera software on the OP. I only have one use the Pixel Camera for 4K 60fps video recording, as you can get that for longer than 5 mins of recording.
@@achel2006 if you like fluidity, snappy performance of your OnePlus, keep it but if you want a better camera phone, get rid of it. Buy Note 20 Ultra/ S21 Ultra or even the iPhone 11 or 12
I disagree. Those night shots look much better IMO. Especially when he zoomed in. Besides that, One Plus blocked one of the cameras of OnePlus 8 Pro...
My wife's 8pro takes better pictures than my 9pro, especially noticeable during night time, which boggles my mind. We took a picture of a campfire and it is so much better on the 8pro. There is this flare effect happening with my 9pro when light hits the camera that ruins the detail.
If I am not mistaken yet another update came out, yesterday/today. But still 9 Pro digitally crops/zoom on main camera while shooting a video, while 8 Pro uses telephoto for video zoom. Thank you for these comparison videos, always the best.
Great Video man! You have shown a great deal of respect waiting for the updates software of the Oneplus 9 Pro. The only other tech reviewer that does this is Juan (Some Gadget Guy). Congrats my man! I'm sticking with my OP 8 Pro this year.
07:27 happy with my OnePlus 8 pro. Though they will improve 9 pro over time. 4:22 when the hassleblad kicks in. I would like to see skin tones comparison in those modes.
The OnePlus 9 pro reminds me of HTC U12 on day shots and I think at this moment it is the smartphone to go for me but if the price of the Vivo Pro goes down I think I will go for the Vivo.
I have the oneplus 3T and I'm still on the fence about the 9 Pro. Just seems like camera still isn't quite there. This phone still does everything else I need a phone to do and does it well
Something is completely off with how this phone renders blue tones. Visible in daylight but also in the night concert shot at 11:24. It oversaturates blues into oblivion and the oversharpening isn't a great look either.
I got the IN2015 5G OnePlus 8 (non-pro) model. I'm upset with camera quality overall coming from an LG V40 a year ago. It's got bad lighting issues, poor zoom quality, and bad in the dark. Is the OnePlus 9 a good upgrade?
I just got the 8pro and am trying to figure out if something is wrong with my device....the produced pics are great but when I click on thumbnail directly after taking pic the pic first appears very jumbled and blurry it takes maybe 2 seconds to snap into focus(final product is great) but my 7t did not do this...I'm wondering if this normal processing or just my phone

Oneplus not cameraphone, its a perfect top performance phone. Its not big difference in photos, but who need? How many of you realy look for all that photo details? Photos nice enough for any facebook or tic tok ))) Again, Oneplus its not about photos, its about strength , performance , no lagging , clear android...
I am loking how they have reduced the highlights on oneplus 9 pro, the bright sun kissed areas are much more detailed and the structures are more noticeable. O believe oneplus should dial down the highlights even more, this actually makes every details in bright areas much more noticeable and makes the overall image nicer and pop. This is something iphones and google pixel does to bring up blown out structures. Also, increasing the structure in processing is something they do to make images crisp. Oneplus should alos do it. There's no need of increasing digital sharpness or contrast or saturations, the adjustments I mentioned are enough to make the colors and details deeper. Just try this. And my question is why doesn't any reviewer mention these adjustments ever on any video. They talk about saturation, details, dynamic range. But no body talks about highlights. You will be amazed what drastic changes adjusting just the highlights can bring to an image. Blacks will also be boosted, colors will be deepened by this alone, and the best part it it won't affect the dynamic range, it will not crush the darks.
I don't have that one yet but its only a 105MB update so I don't think the improvements will be big there like the last one that was much larger. This is good because this will just make the comparisons better in the future.
What i have understood the Hasselblad upgrades are just software and not hardware at all. that means OnePlus could just update all their phones to those optimizations. ofc this is not gonna happen but there is already talk happening about porting Hasselblad configs to other phones in forums! :))
Thanks for the video man! Oneplus 8 Pro is being sold around 300$ cheaper here in India, than Oneplus 9 Pro. In my opinion, its a great option with only a few corners being cut. What do you think Danny?
Great video, I think the Oneplus 9 Pro is causing a lot of confusion, and one that is dividing opinions, Hasselblad by all accounts is only being used on 9 Pro for software colour accuracy, and no actual Hasselblad hardware has been installed, into the camera, and as a result is scandalous, with Hasselblad emblazoned on the camera. Oneplus 9 Pro licencing Hasselblad to sell more phones, I find my old Samsung Note 10 plus a better camera phone, with more accurate colours, I cannot get on with the Oneplus 9 Pro, and I think it will be returned.
Hey Danny, do you think going from OnePlus 5T to OnePlus 9 Pro is a good idea? Do you have a different phone in mind which is similar to 9 Pro in terms of price but a better overall phone?
This is a tough one since pricing is so different around the world. The 5T to 9 Pro is a HUGE jump so you will notice it for sure. In the US I think the Galaxy S21 Ultra is a better buy since they are about the same price now here.
