The story of Habibun Najr who was stoned to death
The story of Habibun Najr is one of the valuable stories mentioned in the interpretation of the Al-Qur'an, especially in Surah Yasin verses 13-27. He was a man of faith who defended the messengers of Allah, but was ultimately killed by his disobedient people.
Allah tells in Surah Yasin verses 13-27 about a people who were visited by three messengers of Allah. However, these people rejected their preaching and even threatened them.
At that time, a man came from the other end of the city with enthusiasm to defend the messengers of Allah. In many interpretations, this man is referred to as Habibun Najr. He was a poor carpenter but had strong faith.
He said to his people:
"Follow those who do not ask you in return, and they are those who are guided. Why don't I worship (Allah) who created me and to Him you will be returned?"
(QS Yasin: 20-22).
The story of Habibun Najr is an example of courage in defending the truth despite facing threats. He may not be as famous as other prophets, but his story is immortalized in the Qur'an as an inspiration for all Muslims.
