- A closed down city street turned into drag strip for some of the WILDEST big tire cars in the midwest! Native midwestern racers and even some of Discovery Channels Street Outlaws made the drive to Hartshorne, Oklahoma for the H-Town Throwdown. A totally LEGAL street racing event, on a totally un-prepped, bare city street. Big tire cars mean SERIOUS power, but big power means a bigger fight for traction. Oddly enough we caught our buddy Ryan smack dab in the middle of the big tire class working through rounds with only small tires? We couldn’t believe it, jump into the video and see how far he goes!

R C well there suppose to be looking for a light not a hand throw down!! Huge ass difference there. Some are just super early to get that light but honestly when street racing that what it comes down to most of the time is the light!! Especially if they throw the rule in there that chase is a race soo...🤷😂

you race by what ever rules there are. If chase is a race then light don't matter. If you don't like it you don't race, or you just deal with it. Because when that guy goes, you better go too, unless you plan on just sitting there.

He's a cool dude, owns KCMaxx tuning shop in KcMo, puts his skills to good use and is a threat with that bird at any race he shows up at.
Most confusing signals award goes to the starter. One race he gave the thumbs up to both drivers in turn, then arm drop to one of them (who went on that), then finally the light.

@Klip One why do you have to call him an idiot? The flagger was actually pretty confusing. All of those drivers are professionals, why do you think there were so many jumps? Because the guy was during 1 arm drops to certain cars THEN doing a light. When you're sitting behind 2000+hp on the trans brake, your nerves can get the best of you when the guy is doing all types of weird movements.
Yea really! Someone can clearly establish that we’re running a flash light start and the flash light is going to be a big ass LED but I can never differentiate between a glowing stick and a human arm so I often request an armless starter with a spotlight on his head that’s turned on by remote. It’s only fair
Bad flagging is a thing and this guy sucks. A good driver will ignore anything but the lights but that doesn’t excuse bad flagging. Do it right or go spectate. It ain’t rocket science... ok 1... ok...2 wait a few seconds and flash the light. I never understood what all the extra waiving, jumping and wiggling is all about?

Firebird owner is always so humble. Not being cocky and being the underdog is a combo I’ll always be behind. He lost to a car that was so well sorted that there was no drama during his pull from light to finish line.
That Firebird has been one of my favorite street raced cars for years. Would have loved to see what happened if he was on a big tyre too... This Firebird would be sick at Drag Week or RMRW...

Here where I live we don't have any tracks so we only do street racing and some weekend the police officers would close the main road so everyone could drag and they don't really care if you drag on the outside roads just not in town.

@@504chris whole point of what he was doing was to make timing the light unpredictable.. there were a lot of drivers trying to time it and a lot failed. not uncommon when you're racing some one you think you can't beat heads up.

That buster camaro is really fast and i know after that win driver feels like a young man all over again. The Firebird, Mustang Mike, and Buster were all smooth, straight-line cars. Most others were wobbly, bouncy, and slippery.
Too bad the G-body Malibu jumped, cause it was another very fast, smooth, straight-line car.
The race between The Firebird and Mustang Mike was just like an NHRA event.
