I installed the Stryker SR-955HP in my van and have been using it for about a year now. I use a sr-5k magnet mount antenna and I talk to my local hams on 10 meters SSB all day when on the road at work. This radio is the absolute best import radio you can buy.
Right but for the cost the President Richard is hard to beat the Dick is a full band 10 meter and can be expanded to 27 mhz loaded with features seen on high $ "Export" jobs at a better $ Ive heard Stryker rigs are very nice as well.
Hi,got one yesterday 100 Euro second hand, first impression toppie, in Holland it's a kpo 5000 exactly the same.thanks good video well explained.
CRT SS6900/Dx10/Anytone5555, are 3 and the same, exactly like this one.
Different name here in England
Brilliant walk through on this radio, K-po Dx 5000.Just bought this radio, so really helped me regarding the function button.
GOOD VIDEO JUST GOT ONE IN TODAY CANT WAIT TO COMPARE IT TO MY EMPEROR 5010.73 FROM HAWAII
I know their is no VFO but can these be used on ten meter ham as a licensed ham .... ????
I have one sitting in here on my shelves bran new never been used. Super radio to find. Very wide spread options on this radio.
I run a Road King 56 mic on my Quad5 which is the same as the Alpha and it has no issues.
Great to hear. I have been the Stryker radio for several weeks in my vehicle and have been very impressed with the functionality and quality of the radio.
I use a midland special edition mike. No wiring needed, worked out of the box. Lovely radio, well worth the money. Use it regularly and comes close on performance with my alinco 135. Great video too.
i always had a galaxy pluto, then it broke. i was very sad about it, now i want this one. what is a good antenna for it to use
RF Rain! I need that feature!
excellent, thank you for your time to make this video
Hi nice video l have the superstar ss6900n which is the same l love it l live in the UK and in the UK it costs£150 here good video again 73
Thanks for this video. Does it have a CTCSS function. As it is programmable to split frequencies on 10m, CTCSS would mean you could use the rig on 10m repeaters. I didn't see it mentioned in the video but may have missed it.
Not to distract from your feature of the Alpha Max, but.... I see the display of the Pro640 has lost some of the segments, a common problem with several of the Pro series by Uniden. I have remedied by removing the display and actually sawing the double seven segments from the display module. Leaving the S meter intact, I wired a new double seven segment display and it worked fine. I always kept my bright / dim button on dim to keep the current down. Nice to see these old rigs working! 73!
i bought a crt ss900n the info you gave was brilliant thanks
i ve got the anytone at 5555 v6 its gave me alot of problems, kicking out in the middle of my transmission either swr kickout or 12volt kickout but it did not come with programing cable but the only time it gives me problems is when i m trying to run a linear on ssb, the rest of the time this radio is flawless and always on freq. which alot of other radios that have been around for yrs can not do and they cost twice as much so i will get my programing cable and go inside and change some settings and get her figured out and i would appreciate any input thankyou 73s unit 27 gobles,mi.
@Tony Tony THANKS TONY WE ARE GOOD.
Good review....
had a bit of a laugh the "RF rain"
Bonjour j'en ai un à ,vendre pour cause double emploi je la laisse à 150 €
Very nice job on the video. As a ham of many years, I would like to know where I can purchase one. I like the PC programming option and the split frequency feature. I called Copper and Bells and they don't have it. Any suggestions as to where I can order one..
I like it, So very much similar to Delta Force/ Omega Force radios that have been unavailable for some time.
How can I nicely its almost an identical rip off of the American Delta force radio?
As a licensed radio amateur, this is a interesting 10mtr set. We can buy this transceiver now in the Netherlands. Can you tell me how good the receiver in practise is?
Your links DON'T show the model your talking about. Do you have a link for the 1 your displaying?
thats a intek hr 5500! i have one and it goes from 25.000-30.500mhz a very simple mod unlocks it
CW stand for Continuous Wave. What it does is produce a single tone with the circuit interrupted by the CW key. Tone is produced when you press the key, and turned off when you let go of the key. This is what is used to transmit mores code. For example, the letter E is a short tone - a dot (or dit) . where as a T is 3 times as long - a dash (or dah) - Combinations of dots and dashes let you do the whole alphabet, numbers, and punctuation.
descobriste a polvora
@@lesstime1678 I'm assuming it is a typo, but I can't find it in my above post.
Thats alot of info to take in all at once! I did however comprise a few questions to ask.
is there talk back and if soo, how is it adjustable or turned on/off?
are you going to post audio of the roger beep tone and length?
when and where will these radios be for sale?
how much are these? any warranty information?
what kind of quality is the echo? what kind of quality is the knobs on the radio?
have you gone crazy after looking at that terrible misspelling?
Sweet radio, and thank God it has SSB!
Dose RADIO HAVE A AIR HORN ON IT ?? HIS IS A VERY NICE RADIO. AND CAN YOJ GIVE OUT THE PRICE ON YHIS UNIT
You mention the CW and Ext Sp jacks. I see the radio has a PA function, but no PA SP jack?
being a ham. do i see the clarifier capable of being used as a split for 10 meter repeater use. i know i would have to add a tone board to it. i think one tone board maker has one with a rotary switch to select more than just one selected programed tone.
How do i get back to ham side after i restet for am bands
How do i get back too 10 meters
The SWR shows 1.6.
Do you use the LP100A for SWR?
I notice the LP100A says 1.04SWR and if I use my Icom, it says 1.6, if I tune the Icom up 1 Mhz it says 1.1 but the LP100A says 1.6.
Which one is right?
because it comes written rf rain, I have an anytone at-5555 that also comes like this (rf rain). Do you know? thank you. instead of rf gain. I'm from Brazil and I do not understand English.
Some keys look like a telegraph key, and indeed are designed after them. These are known as "straight" keys. There are types that have 2 tabs side-by-side, where the left tab will produce a series of dahs, and the right tab will produce a series of dits. With a little practice, you can become proficient enough to time it correctly to send accurate code by hitting the correct tab at the correct time. This type of keys needs a component called a "keyer" which I don't think these radios have.
How low will this thing go 12 meter?
The point about pin4 having a voltage on it. Do you know if that is the same as the anytone at 5555? I can find no mention of it, in the instruction manual. 73 de G7SWW Blue flash.
Great video by the way.
You can find the pin out at crt France. Com I think..... Think you can adjust the Mike gain settings(in the service menu) , not sure I have a crt 7900 and it has some similar features.....
should be able to test with multimeter
If that radio was a coin, it would be worth a lot of money just from that RF rain typo
That's a nice one where can l get one ,and how much does it cost !!??
Get the alinco DX 10.
love my anytone at5555
I have a Uniden pro640e as well. This radio looks like one of those European radios."Maas" how much for one of these? "Canadian"
I NEED SOME ADVISE, I HAD A CB MANY YEARS AGO NOW I NEED ONE FOR MY 4X4 TRUCK FOR EMERGENCIES. I DONT NEED TOP OF THE LINE WHAT IS A GOOD STARTER RAIDO . I DO LIKE TALKING SO I WANT SOMETHING I DONT NEED TO UP GRADE TO ENJOY THANKS
SHOTGUNJIM1 if you are not concerned about side band than go with a cobra 29
The latest v6 of this radio is great value for money far better than President Lincon 2 and around half the price .
I am afraid to ask, but here it goes. "How much in US?" I am a ham operator but still love CB. Thanks.
$200
9yrs ago Sutbiker 😲 did you get a ham radio mate ?
I have mine coming next week, similar to this 1, just more powerful.
I have the CRT SS6900n
How do I turn off the function where I hear my voice when I key up? Thanks.
I have a chance to buy one for $200.00 with the software and usb wire question is should i buy it lol
Yes
@@rebeccaholder1682 🤣🤣🤣
maybe the best cb radio
How much is for that cb
What radio would you recommend for a new ham who can only use a small portions of the 10 meter band. 28.300- 23.599?
This radio is more of an export CB than a ham rig, I have a later one (badged as an Anytone 5555). It lacks facilities like CW filters and IF shift and width controls etc. Quite well made and programmable via a PC. For ham use you might be better off spending more on a used HF rig.
You can use this one, it is s cheap...
That is one cool radio
thank you
great review, i want one of these now!!!!!!
Did you mention anything about how the audio sounds on TX?
Is their a way to program Pl Tone for 29 mhz repeaters...??
Dan
YES!!!!
Wouldn't it be legal on CB if the power output was turned down?
Perhaps it was never fcc type certified for cb use.
How much is it?
what is cw used for?
and what does a cw key look like
do 10 meter cb radios also have 11 meter transmit capability ?
no such thing as a 10mtr cb
I know this is an old video but I watched it for reference before purchasing an Anytone AT-5555v6. When doing the conversion to 11 meters is there any realignment that will need to be done since there is no wire clipping or soldering to be done?
Hi DJ, I just purchased one today and since have seen that it can be programmed, so, I am not exactly sure myself how to set it up on 11 meters, But ill let you know if I have a problem.
@@danchristopher9483 thank you
@@danchristopher9483 were you able to convert your radio to 11 meters by the function/scan button method? It's not working for me
I actually ordered it yesterday, I dont have it yet, but I will let you know :)
@@danchristopher9483 1. Ensure the radio is off
2. Press and Hold both the FUNC and EMG-S/RF buttons, and turn on the radio
3. Release the two buttons; you should have alphanumeric
characters showing on the display: “1bAnd”
Rotate the Channel Knob until you get “2bAnd”
4. Press and hold the FUNC key;
The screen will display rES...
...then display rEnd.
...release the FUNC key.
The Expansion Operation has now been successfully performed
I may ask just one question can this radio tune inn the air band frequencies since it is a programable tipe radio?
Yes my dad has one and he did
where can i get this
Cant distinguish between the KPO, Maas, Anytone and the Cre versions. Anybody help ?
Try the covert wont convert too 11 meters now what
Mine says RF GAIN. I bought it from Long Communications in Donegal.
Is this the same thing as the Anytone 555?
Yes
whats the wattage
What a top radio, a very nice review
it dosnt have a ctcss board daniel
@TheDiddlysquat When you hear the Super bowl coming in really strong then go to USB above 28.300 -10 meter- and you will see that it is far far from dead!
And no im not a ham.
I don't understand why they put echo on these radios
some people want it for some reason. marketing based. i wish they used that variable for a display dimmer instead of echo
excellent explanation as I have the SS6900N which is basically the same
Alinco DX 10 much better IMO
I want one how much for one ??
Get the alinco DX 10. MUCH BETTER
do u do questions
Thanks that a great radio
umm yes what does the rf rain knob do?
You can select the strength of rain in the desert.
The RF Rain is actually the RF gain. The Chinese manufacturer got the face wording wrong.
it has mic gain control in the menu
how is stock mic sound on it cbradiomagazine
+brian knowles They sound crap...so quiet...have to use a power mic..
+rick bailey but problem you got do rewired 4 pin have discontented because it hot you can use reg mic or power mic you damage the radio
u can program thuis to be a true CB radio repeater !!!!... set 1 of these up on a tower.. and have a few of these as a group of buddies... and you can all use this repeater.. for the cb band.. wow !!! @25:00
i'm in the uk by the way,,
Its exactly the same as the AT-Anytone 5555 radio. that I have, same just under another badge label.
It looks Like K-po 5000dx ;)
I'm 21 minutes into the video, where's the TALKBACK?
Cb Fm simplex freq: Channel 31 fm
(now that fm is legal!)
where can i get one? lol
Just the same layout as my SS6900n
WOW!! NO MORE CABLES INSIDE...
I never hear nobody talking on fm . Is it me or I'm I losing my mine come on ten meters , let's get it together now
driving 56 mph in a 55 zone is illegal as well lol,lol
There are 10 meter radios that can transmit on 11 out of the box. But as far as I know most of them need to be modified to operate on 11. By the way, doing that mod is illegal. The only radios you can legally use on 11 meters in the US are FCC approved CB's. Also, as you may already know, operating on 10 meters is illegal without an amateur (ham) radio license.
ya da ya da
And yet, we use these types of radios anyway. We know it's illegal. WE DON'T CARE!
Not much power we have cb radios 150 watts output give ya 10.00 for it and yes the more power ones go for 400.00 dollars. Back in the day I had 500 watts. FT FCC
One guy found Talk Back that isn’t in the manual
@Karl036 They still dont have the English language down yet... LOL!!!!!!
Anytone AT 5555 wiring up a microphone
V6 SSB transmit section bad design no fix
Is that a single knob clarifier i see????????????????
If so its about time!!!! i hate those stupid dual clarifiers.
kpo dx 5500/ hr 5500/mass 5500 all the same
look's like the old ar-3500
TOT is the german word for deatd...
@JasonDolan ma...................
I think that's shxx about the deactivating p5, ive never heard of a radio that needs a mod to put ya old Sadeltas, Echo masters etc else its Bammm, Not good, id certainly not touch a 2nd hand one
