Wonderful! Greetings from Auburn, California. Along with my brother and sister, we were the only kids in my neighborhood, possibly town, that rode English bikes. Two Raleigh Sport 3-speeds (green and brown) and one Raleigh made red Triumph ( early 70's). Thanks for the great videos. Cheers!
@@unbalancedcrank 4 C here in Nova Scotia Canada this morning, Been sand bagging your videos for years, sorry about that. Couldn't sign into UA-cam for almost 4 or 5 years! Again top notch work, Comfort food on a cold day.
It is, but it’s also modern looking, and it’s not what I want for this bike. It’s getting whitewall Michelin wirkd Tour, which have become a less bright, creamish colour now. This is the next bike to be done.
My women's Raleigh had a book rack over the rear tire, a kick stand and a tire pump. I absolutely adored that bike Abt 1960. Mine was black and I was a High School student. in >NYC. I had long legs and I could fully extend my legs. I would absolutely love to have another
I will be painting the replacement chaincase and the forks on the Elizabethan, rather than the frame. I will touch up the billiard cues on both bikes, and if necessary, carriers. That’s about it.

This paired well with my morning coffee on my day off. Looking forward to the resto!

That has some real character. It’ll look good with a Brown brooks 👍
Really loving the influx of red bikes at the moment. Thank you for all the videos this week 🙂
Noon tomorrow!
Could stare at that bike all day, stunning! love your videos. bet it stays in your arsenal, at least it would in mine,
It’s a keeper. It’s getting Superbe stainless 4-speed/dynohub wheels and a few accessories, then it’s basically a fancy looking Superbe!

Lovely, I enjoyed this.
Now tell me, in your opinion, which was Raleigh's finest 3 speed touring machine?
The Superbe Sports Tourist Model 24, or the Lenton Tourist, depending on intended use.
That is a pretty red.
Even after all those years that paint still looks brilliant! I wish bikes came in bright bright metallic colours moreoften!
Personally I love the rust, just a thought, is it the right thing to add paint? Maybe clear coat or just polish.

Très beau vélo
Amazing details on these vintage bikes compared to the modern ones. How does it feel to ride compared to a moderne "everyday" bike?
I’ll tell you after the restoration
they look like bomber wheels or mk 1 maveric
White walls only please..😊
Like I said in the video
I was wondering how tall are you and what is your preferred frame size? Thanks.
5’11” and all legs. I ride 60cm x 60cm ideally but a 23” Raleigh is fine.
@@unbalancedcrank Thanks for the information. I"m 5' 11" too. 👍
Maybe it is 1960 Rowan and hence the lack of evidence of a full size white section of the rear mudguard?
And I prefer the top bar as it is. Tells the story etc. Genuine scuffing 😅
They didn’t make them after 1958
