    Finally someone that talks and rides 👍

      As annoying as I am to listen to, I still talk!

    We don't leave it behind when we ride off into the hills. . .we just process it better.
    Good talk. ;-)

      Exactly! Trying to come up with a solution to homelessness while riding and having done zero research is fun, but barely coherent lol

    Watching you rip these trails and talk like it's another day at the office makes me realize how slow a rider I really am lol

      Thanks! It’s just a lot of time on two wheels. As long as you’re on two wheels you’re doing it right!

    I think you might agree with many of the points in San Fran Sicko by Shellenburg.

    those ridges looked amazing, smooth, great views, just a moderate pace, to stay safe. Would love to ride there once.

    the only homeless drug addicts I have seen and witness to, MYSELF included. Have made a complete turn around in life. Are the ones that have given their lives to Jesus! He can heal like you wouldn't believe!

    • @RacerRed

      That is true for soooo many people. To look beyond yourself is so important.

    Drugs are bad, m'kay. Society has made it too easy to be homeless. I am sympathetic and compassionate to elderly and mentally/physically handicapped people down on their luck, but it pisses me off when I see able bodied youngsters begging on the streets. Another great looking trail area I'll have to add to my list of places I want to ride.

      I have personally been affected by people who spiraled into drug use. They become a demon who looks like someone you once knew. It’s very sad. They will destroy everyone around them.

    Processed sugar is a major contributor to gout attacks for me. I can go from healthy to crippled in 12 hours if I consume sugar.
    Nothing to do with mental ilness but just goes to show how processed sugar impacts health.
    Edit! Funny how commenting about sugar caused my feed to crash! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

      Try a 24 hr fast (plenty of water and some salt of course, just no calories) to "reset". When my boidy starts to get bogged down from a poor diet (I get achy and joints bother me, etc after awhile), this helps me. . . . Gosh, I can only turn my back on chocolate for so long!

    • @RacerRed
      @RacerRed  5 місяців тому

      Sugar has a similar effect on me. My joints hurt and I feel foggy. There is a balance for me… if I have a small amount it can make me feel better but that’s my addiction.

    • @RacerRed

    In the last two years I’ve quit alcohol and chew (nicotine). Sugar is on the list too and has been probably my the hardest yet! I’ve had some Jesus too or I wouldn’t have made it this far

    • @RacerRed
      @RacerRed  5 місяців тому +1

      Sugar is a tough one, but man, that’s absolutely awesome that you stopped both of the other ones. Two demons fell off your back, for sure.

    Can you drop a trail number for that one? I ride over there a handful of times throughout the year and familiar with the area but that seems new to me. Thanks!

      @razztacular 5 місяців тому +1

      Okay I think I saw some crossings that seem familiar. I just normally ride it from the other direction. Thanks for sharing!

    Really nice riding area, the fast single track is really good, but I would not call those mountains.....hills yes, I ride in mountains from 1000 to 6000ft in 10 kms, but still a really nice looking area, keep on riding man, the only way to escape all the bullshit of daily life!!

    • @RacerRed
      @RacerRed  5 місяців тому

      These are the rideable mountains for now. The snow hasn’t melted yet. I ride from 3k up to 10k in elevation here.
