The first thing to figure out is what "brand" does one want to project.

“Not being the complainer” is not the same as “never complaining”. Not speaking my mind *when* JS is annoying the crap out of me/ not venting my frustrations ever is counter-productive. I actually like when people say what’s bothering them because then I relate to what they’re saying and I feel less bad about what’s bothering me

But when everything bothers you and you complain *a lot* then yeah something is probably wrong with you, and you give out negative vibes

Dave, I'm trying to become a better software developer...Aside from getting familiar with a language, the frameworks, the libraries, design patterns, frequently used techniques and structures, what else can I do to get to 'the next level'? What is the next level in your opinion? How do I truly ascend? Thanks.

There's a lot of ways to get "next-level". Once you get these basics down, you'll have to find your own way. I good place to start is to start looking into other fields of study. Psychology is good and can enable you to understand people's behavior. Experience also is required. Soon you'll learn that being a high value developer is not directly correlated with being super technical. It's working with people and maximizing value. You'll find plenty of super technical people that you wouldn't consider "high level". Sometimes it's a combo of skills, not just being a good programmer.

Thanks Dave. By the way, I don't recall you mentioning what your current job entails, although you did mention CSS and Javascript if I remember correctly. Care to share what language/frameworks you come in contact with regularly? Also I have one more question if you don't mind. After having been in the software development industry for a while now, would you still consider going for a Masters in Compsci/Data/ML/SE at your current age, if you didn't have a Masters from before, or would you consider the ~2 years of industry experience waaay more valuable? Big thanks!
