I’m not happy when I don’t succeed. I’m very happy when I do succeed. I don’t worry about other men who get jealous or spend their time bashing others. My philosophy? You do you and I’ll do me. To quote Tom Miranda, “I just love bowhunting”. I hunted more in 2023 than I’ve ever hunted and nowhere near the shape I needed to be in. I’m coming off 2 leg injuries in back to back years the previous 2 years and finally while hunting AZ in December I felt like both injuries have healed. The first was a nasty break and when that healed I tore my meniscus on the other leg a day before killing an elk in the Gila Wilderness. Talk about a painful pack out. Watching the Roy videos and Cam’s adventures the last month have inspired me to get in the best shape of my life before September. I’ve lost 10 pounds in 3 weeks and have another 10 to go to get to my target weight of 205. Keep hammering and keep grinding! You are definitely an inspiration Cam!

Just want to say thank you for the inspiration you make awesome videos and tell great stories. I’ve been shooting my bow for about a year now I have target set in my backyard. Hoping to someday go on a hunt and be able to harvest something. Never have done it before but think about it and what it would be like can you point me in Any kind of direction or send me some information to how I can get my first hunt. I live in Southern California and there is not really anything to hunt out here. I’ve looked everywhere up in the hills they say there is deer but I’ve only found one skull. lol thanks for your help. Keep up the good work you’re the man.

Cam, I've been watching your videos for 6yrs+. I've finally came to the fact my body needs changing.
Killed a good pub land buck here in IN this yr. Back in the thick shit. I need 40lbs lost easy, im 6'4 285 an have considerable asthma. Im ready to start hammering and keep hammering. Loved all the videos this year. Hats off Tanner on the camera and videos. Cam keep up the good work. I don't want to sound like a dick but I wish you didn't feel the need to justify the hunts or number of kills to people who won't or don't understand. The probability of changing their views is slim. Your fans love it and it shows respect to the environment and to the animals. Can't wait for more to come.

Yes, One of the newly Governor-appointed Game Commission members has stated that Colorado is at the point with predators that 'we no longer need hunters' for managing wildlife. Gun control, elimination of hunting, non-stop attacks on those of us that love and support scientific wildlife management. So disappointing, but we are still hammering! Thanks for your comments Cam.
Let me ask you something. IF and this is a big if. But if Colorado was able to subsidize CPW and replace all of the revenue from game tags, wouldn’t an intact ecosystem where the predator pray relationship is balanced be the very best thing for Colorado? Not a lot of places have that anymore.
Thank you, but no, because the typical predator-prey relationship runs in roughly seven year cycles. When prey animals (food) multiplies then the predators multiply in response until they destroy their food supply, then they die off too, until the remaining food animals multiply again, etc. Unfortunately, the habitat has been divided into unnatural blocks, so there can easily be areas where animals will go extinct. Scientific management of wildlife, in conjunction with hunting, can more quickly respond to save animals from extinction as we have repeatedly seen happen in Earth's history long before the modern hunting era. There is never a lasting balance; it's forever changing due to habitat, climate, and human encroachment.@@Reed411

Maybe an off topic question, but I'm curious if anyone tried hunting in barefoot shoes, like Vibram FiveFingers or VivoBarefoot? I ask because I see the practice of sneaking up on animals in socks when the situation requires stealth and those shoes are pretty thin and flexable. I understand that cold, rough terrain, rain, snow might not be ideal for such shoes, but they do produce outdoor / hiking models.
I want to know if there are any good resources for women that want to get into hunting. I need someone to adopt me for their hunting trips 😂

Cam, I’ve been seeing a lot of people popping off about how you and Joe hunt private land and how Joe doesn’t know what it’s like hunting public land. I think you should do a whole season hunting public land only and take Joe with you so people can see that it’s the Indian and not the arrow. #keephammering

I get that you are a provider but how many of the people that you bring into the hunting community share that ethos? How many of them just get into it for the horns and likes? Conservatively, it would be the vast majority. When I look at your social media stuff it does not resonate with promoting the "provider-hunter" life style, it resonates with posting horns and obtaining followers. When the cost per lb of the game you harvest is so astronomical, it doesn't look like your doing it to feed your community, it looks like your doing it to feed your ego. Just my 2 cents. As you were.
