  • Welcome back to Cook and PhotoShoot.
Today, we have an exciting recipe to take your bread-making skills to the next level.
We will make delicious homemade ciabatta rolls using a simple no-knead method, just the stretch and fold method.
These rolls are light, airy, and packed with flavour. The best part? You won't believe how easy they are to make! So, let's dive right in and get started!
Easy Homemade Ciabatta Rolls - No-Knead Recipe
    Ingredients:
    400g warm water
    Two teaspoons honey
    500g white bread flour
    21g fast-action yeast
    7g salt
    Olive oil
    Instructions:
Combine the white bread flour, salt, and fast-action yeast in a large mixing bowl.
In a separate bowl, mix the warm water with honey until the honey is dissolved.
Pour the honey water mixture into the bowl with the dry ingredients while stirring. Continue stirring until a sticky dough forms.
Transfer the sticky dough to a large, well-oiled (use olive oil) bowl to prevent sticking. Cover the bowl with a clean kitchen towel and rest for 20 minutes.
Before stretching the dough, wet your hands with olive oil or water to prevent sticking.
After 20 minutes, gently stretch and fold the dough. Try to be very gentle and keep the dough airy.
Cover the bowl again and let it rest for another 20 minutes.
Repeat this stretching and folding process four times, with 20 minutes of rest between each round.
Before the last two stretches, preheat the oven to 180-200°C (350-390°F). Place a metal container inside the oven as well.
Once the dough has gone through the final two stretches and folds, it's time to shape the rolls. Dust your work surface with flour and flip the bowl upside down to release the dough onto the surface.
Use a knife or dough cutter to gently cut the dough into desired sizes and shape the rolls.
Transfer the shaped rolls onto a baking tray lined with greaseproof paper.
Place the tray in the oven and add hot water to the preheated metal container; it generates steam.
Bake the ciabatta rolls for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown.
Once baked, remove the rolls from the oven and let them cool on a wire rack.
Your homemade ciabatta rolls are now ready to be enjoyed! They are perfect for sandwiches, sliders, or served alongside soups and salads.

Thank you for watching, and enjoy your Ciabatta rolls.

Great question! A sourdough starter is like a natural yeast mixture used in bread baking. It adds a unique flavor and texture to the bread. The presenter mentioned it as an option to make the bread even more delicious. While the video didn't cover it, adding a starter can be a bit more advanced. If you're new to baking, starting with the basic recipe is a good way to get comfortable. Happy baking!"

Wouldn't less yeast and a longer bulk fermentation time give you more flavor?

Yes, you are 100% right, but the idea was to make it easy and fast to attract people to baking at home.

what I do is keep a sourdough starter and add 30g of that to my ciabatta recipe as well as yeast. That gives it the extra flavour missing from a one-day bread

@@satyris410 hmm, strange I never try this one, even quite often I do with bread and I noticed that you adding a little bit of a starter keeps the bread fresh longer. 100% I will try the Ciabatta plus starter.
