Besides that Jorden has some creativity in his game, its also good for atmosphere. Think this is a very good team. You dont need always the strongest players, harmony, and a good mix of players is the best I think.
dubov is not a traitor , it was a good Choice to become a Magnus Carlsen team.
He has been working with Magnus since 2016, there is no treason
WTF, Dubov on team Magnus against Ian? Putin is not impressed LOL
Well technically Ian didn´t play under the russian flag xD
Good to see a Russian on Magnus' team! The greatest athletes care about the sport, and not petty rivalry.
Game respects game.
Yes, besides who doesn't want to work and learn with the world champion also
Dubov: "Are we still talking chess" lmao
I seriously thought he said” are we still talking shat?”
I heard: "You still talking sh*t?" xD
Dubov supplied the team pornography. Great Russian content.
@@thegorn lol
Yeeeeeeh. Dubov was there. I knew it. In one of the first games, I said this must be a product of Dubov. Brilliant team. Brilliant guys. Job well done. Tnx!
Daniil teached Magnus some russian techniques of how to promote his pawn to a queen
didn't get it at first....then I remembered :)))
@@EkyStyawan Pls explain, I don't get it.
Taught Magnus not to place his knights on the side of the board.

@@EkyStyawan Thanks.

Nice catch!
Exactly, Nepo brings the pizzas!
Dubov could very well be a future WC opponent himself
I like dubit alot but big lol
I really like Dubov's style, but unfortunately, I have very strong doubts he'd ever be playing for the WC. His best suit is apparently at Rapid time controls, where he achieves his highest ranking in this format. In classical, there are at least 20 players stronger than him. I don't see Dubov ever getting close to 2800 Elo. He's not that young.
Magnus is just the most perfect person who ever lived.
His intelligence, social skills, appearance, overall nature... Everything is just absolutely perfect.
We can take it you're quite a fan then?
@@davidcopson5800 I like to be rather called "abnormally obsessed", thank you for asking.

Even after being a second, Daniil is like: "I think he probably likes us" tells how less expressive Magnus is in this regard 😂
So cool to see Jan on his team! I kinda wondered what he was up to lately, but in hindsight, it was pretty obvious.
Magnus seems like a great guy to be around and work with. Good sense of humor and doesn't project any kind of superiority.
Daniil's opening ideas make Magnus even more dangerous in the opening
He is the most creative chess player ever IMO
That's probably still Tal or Ivanchuk, even possibly Grischuk or Jobava but Dubov is on the same level of creativity.
Dubov what a surprise!
Surprise?! It's public knowledge they work together for sometime
@@nunomacuacua yea in past world championships, but who would expect that Dubov will be on his team again, against a Russian player. I mean there are lot of people that come and go. And it’s definitely not a public knowledge before the end of the match. There are a lot of things that are not public especially before the match, I mean there is logic behind that. Did your smartass know that he actually also worked for a week or so during a camp in Spain with Giri. Probably not :)
1:42 Daniil just sitting like a boss with a Roley on his wrist.
i think its not a rolex
Not sure if that's a rolex
Terrific team!!! Congratulations!! I was very surprised with Dubov, but a very pleasant surprise. A team does not mean it has to have top ten GMs, but a balanced one where everyone can bring something and really be part of a team. Even for just crackin the joke!
I thought Daniel and Ian were frnds and I imagined he wouldn't be Magnus's second atleast for this match.. well it's a surprise
Valadislav Tkachiev told on Blitzsteam's UA-cam channel that he knew Dubov wasn't in Nepo's team so it was quite obvious
Danil, not Daniel.
@@amjan Daniil actually
This could have easily been half an hour and I would have eaten up every moment.
Nepo: I thought we were allies..
Daniil Dubov: I missed the part where that’s my problem
"It doesn't matter if they're farting, if they're fighting, or if they're friends.... you just use all the power."
- Dubov, about the Russian team
Well I dunno about you but using all the power for farting sounds like a recipe for success to me.
I stopped reading at "recipe"

"Are we still talking chess?" D Dubov. Classic!!
now we know why he won so easily, he has Dubov!
Yeah Dubov made Nepo do all these one move blunders
Wondered where Mr. Dubov was 😎. Great team, great win 👏👏👏👏👏
Congratulations on your fine win Magnus and his team
Dubov in Magnus team! It made my whole day!
This could be such a big boost for Daniil and Jordan. Nice atmosphere and gratulations!
wie geil es wäre wenn Jan es irgendwann schaffen würde, Magnus für eine schachpartie zu RBTV zu bringen
I was wondering while ago why Jan hasn't played any banter blitz lately, well now I don't have to.
When Jan doesn't do commentary for World Championship than you know he is on Carlsens Team.
Jan has a Twitch Channel too. It's called "JanistanTV". He wasn't online there for atleast a month, that was a very strong indicator that he is in Magnus Team.
(He streams mostly/only in german there, but just for you to know.)
You know these guys have the best late night chess games
Sb should edit Nepo in after Dubov lol. That'd be fun. Joking aside, now I'm curious abt team Nepo after what Dubov said
All my support for Dubov. He doesn't like people that fart and fight between each other!
2:50 I love this "European" approach!
When I saw the Catalan opening, I knew Daniil was on Carlsen's team :)
This team is the perfect boat for a viking conquest
Van foreest and Dubov, my favorite chess players right now. I can imagine Magnus asked them to help him. What a super team!
Dude, so cool to see Daniil on the team!
Daniil is there flexing out his muscle💪💪💪
Damn. Not a bad team! Congrats to all of them.
I'm happy to see dubov there he has such crazy ideas and charisma and also geat performance this year again carlsen in particular
Missed Jan in commentaries this year.
Off topic but...
The three main hosts for Chess 24 set the gold standard for championship chess coverage. Very entertaining, insightful and bonus, easy to look at : p
"I wanted a Frenchman in the team, but it shouldn't be the next challenger"
alireza?👀
That part was a reference to the 2013' match. Fressinet has been in his team for a looong time
I'm surprised that Daniil is part of the Carlsen team .. i was expecting he was on the Nepo side .. since obviously he is a Russian..
Not just that. They also appear to be on good terms. Agadmator has shown games where they stream online playing hand and brain together. Maybe the top chess scene today is a much more friendly and relaxed atmosphere, so there is no longer such a big deal if you friend works for your opponent, who are all your friends.
My man literally secured one of his biggest competitions in Dubov
Don't underestimate the boost the team gets from being on the team. I think Danil improved a lot from working as a second for Magnus in the past and I expect the same will be true for Jorden.
Dubov was with him in 2018 too. Van Foreest is the real surprise
Everyone should remember Nepo was also in Magnus team in previous championships
Daniil Dubov in your Team is aweseome. You are my favorite player and my second ist Daniil. All the best for you from germany and congrats for wiiiinnnning!!!
Dubov and Jorden ==The power of youth.
I remember being so surprised when Jordan started breaking into 2700 but it makes sense now. Probably when they started working together. Alot of solid 2600 players break into 2700 briefly when helping title contenders. Only Nils hasn't broken 2700
You mean Jan? :)
Daniil's nose profile is truly legendary
So when Magnus beat Jan on that Banter Blitz stream, Jan messaged him and asked him to be a second
