I totally get why people want to explore these old buildings. But do not understand those that want to vandalize them. Just makes one's stomach sick at the destruction.
Once an English mother brought a rather silly-looking plastic bottle filled with water from Lourdes. Her son in his early twenties had a severe brain injury , we on the ICU couldn’t even speculate about his outcome. The mother had so much faith in this water from Lourdes, she said “ If I could I would drown him in this water,” Had been very touching.
A small advice on cleaning. You put the garbage into the bag manually, it's not so convenient. Instead of that, try the following: 1. Take a plastic bucket 2. Cut away its bottom 3. Put the bottomless bucket into the bag 4. Fold down the bag in outside direction. Now you will have a bucket which is always open and can stand on the floor on its own. As soon as you fill it with garbage, you can unfold the bag up, lift the buckle and continue filling the bag
@armviolet We do something very similar with an old plastic reusable shopping bag whose handles fell off, except that we use it to support the plastic recyclables bag the local authority hands out to every household. When the recyclables bag is full, we remove it and insert another one. Works a treat, and we've been doing this for well over 15yrs; a great way to reuse something that would've otherwise gone off to landfill in a black bag and it's meant that we consumed less of the world's resources by practicing the 3 R's - Reduce, Reuse, Recycle, as we didn't have buy a new rubbish bin.
Stan. Thank you for saving that beautiful crucifix. . I have visited our Lady of Lourdes in Lourdes France. It is a beautiful and sacred place . I have a friend who is a priest that went there with me and my boys and friends. He was given very little time to live because of cancer. We all prayed for him and he experienced the healing waters. he is now cancer free Keep that cross as it will only lbless you and Sadie. Sadie, do you remember me saying to you “do everything that just something missing in your life? “. I may be wrong but I think you’re finding out what that it is. ❤
That's why it would be hard to have a company come in and clear out the trash & rubble. Sticky fingers would find, and most like keep the treasures. They seem to be doing a great job. The Pethericks & friends are all very supportive of each other.
It is Stan’s problem now…or should I say Stan’s profit! lol congratulations to both of them! I love how that family/friends come together to support each other… such a beautiful example for todays troubled world 😊
My heart soars with gladness as you work through the old chapel. Every piece you look at stirs and recognizes who was there in the past. Very fitting that a crucifix was found there in the old Chapel. Slowly but I believe you are doing it lovingly bring the Chateau back to life. Truly a wonderful adventure. Thank you for taking us along with you. ❤❤❤
Hi Sadie and Stan I'm so glad you have taken on this project and hope even when you get a little disheartened with is you must think that you are bringing the phoenix from the ashes, so be proud of everything you do. I for one will be behind you 100%. The super chateau sweep.
Stan is such an interesting and talented guy. Tell us more about him. Where did he grow up? When did he move to France? When did he learn to speak English? How did Stan and Sadie meet?
I hope they keep the chapel as a chapel. Recreate the ceiling. I hope that there is some record of what it once looked like. Save the small crucifix Stan found and put it back in the chapel where it was found.
Wow, you guys started this channel not very long ago at all and have garnered quite the following in a very short period! It's easy to see that people are excited to see what you both have in store for this beautiful chateau. It's fascinating how you're unearthing lost history from hundreds of years ago. Loved the little skit at the beginning btw and the accordian playing is so charming :D you guys are rocking it!
Beginning to feel like home already. I bet Christmas time is a joyful occasion with this band of renovators. Lovely group of people. Nice video to relax in the evening with Thank you for the humour. 🎉❤
Your first week has been a resounding success Sadie and Stan! Good to see Michael who is looking very dapper after his trip to Turkey. Will shine all the Petherick’s and their friends a relaxing weekend.🇨🇦❤️
What a great week you had. Enjoy your weekend. See you next week. I look forward to watching you discover what lies behind the modern wall in the 13th century fortress.
I see you throwing away the lath from the ceiling. When we were doing our home we saved the lath for burning in the fireplace. It makes for a very hot firer and with lots of heat.
There are still so many seemingly structurally intact and beautiful aspects. I know there is TONS to be done but i believe they will save all they can and return her to her past beauty!
Someone complained about the word satan on the wall? They’re upset over a fictional character? I guess they wouldn’t be too happy with Tim Minchins “pope song” 😂
I really enjoyed the footage of the snow sliding off the roof. It makes me suspect that that is why the steepness of it, so that the snow can't build up and rot the roof. It's intriguing to see the treasures you will find in amongst the rubble. Muck on guys.
I am loving this channel, adding it to my daily "musts". Stan, you are incredibly funny, and your delivery of punchlines is impeccable. The Mucky Mansion is fascinating and count me in as a regular!
So nice looking at the beginning with all the snow now, love it. Sadie, love ON CRACK. Thank you for taking us on a cleaning adventure, so many things to find still, enjoy your day.
I keep all the papers and give to geneology persons. It would give insight to people who use to live there. And may help others looking for their ancestors. GREAT FIND!

Fabulous to see you all mucking in together. Lovely to see michael once again. His hair looks fab. I'm loving each and every little bit of the mucky mansion. It's awesome.😃
Yay good to see Michael, let him know his shorter hairstyle really suits him. Also loving watching your clean up. That will be beautiful in a few years time. Stan is a hillarious addition to the gang.
If you look between 16:30 and 16:35 the door on the right opens by itself. They say when you start remodeling an old building, the past residents can get curious as to what you are doing.
Nice work! When Michael shows up, the laughter starts. His laughter is infectious. And that little stuffed plaything is very inspirational to Stan and he breaks out in Shakespeare.

I just wanted to say how much I look forward to watching your videos every day! Sitting down with a cup of coffee or tea and enjoying your content has become such a highlight for me. It’s rare to find something that’s both humorous and educational while being so enjoyable to watch. I’m especially excited to see The Old Chateau’s (Mucky Mansion) completely renovated-I can’t wait to see how it all turns out! Have a great weekend, and I’m already looking forward to Monday’s episode. Thank you for creating such amazing content-please keep it coming!
just wanted to pay congrats to all the repair crew for showing gusto effort. Even the very small things, seem to be charged up. "Careless People" just show up, use a giant shovel, throw everything away. I really hope a small percentage of the past gets saved. Even a small card board box worth.
Have a great weekend Count and Countess Stanislovski😆 gotta factor in time for hogs nd horses! Loving Mucky Mansion nd you guys. Nice to see Michael out nd about humour intact.😎H.Potter ref on point😂
You have an epic job cleaning up all the mess but you're doing great, never phased just getting on with it. I loved the way Michael fixed the graffiti problem, inspiring. Loving your channel and seeing the little treasures that are turning up xxx
I love everything about your channel. The Petherick’s are a wonderful supportive family and i love when Stan throws in a dash of Shakespeare. The drone footage is beautiful. ❤
Get yourselves a good plastic garden rake..rake it all to the center of the room..then one person gathers all the wood out of the pile one does the big pieces of plaster is someone else's job...lots of standing around! Everyone should have their jobs will go much faster! Books paperswork..pile then go through it later..when you are all going into inspect a room...everyone start picking up old wood like from walls..not sticks!..and make a pile which will get it out of the way but still in room where it came from..much easier to sweep and clean! Get organized...
This will be a great replacement watch as I am done with Chateau de Lalacelle. Chateau de lalacelle? Would you support them, If you knew that Councilor Ash Waters forced to resigned after being exposed for moving 600 miles away to France while paid by Middlesborough which has the highest child poverty rates in the North East of England.
Too funny - the Blonde one does seem to be a bit full of himself - I dont get it at; the gluing bits to the walls and ceilings. Lalacelle reminds me of a chateau if it were a drag queen. Mucky Mansion maybe a Queen one day - hopefully....
I cannot wait to see how everything turns out and how you go about fixing things. There are now 4 or 5 channels I'm following where they've either bought a house to renovate or have bought the contents of a house to go through and resell. I love this type of content. And Stan is an extra bonus. Lol!
I totally get why people want to explore these old buildings. But do not understand those that want to vandalize them. Just makes one's stomach sick at the destruction.
The explorers who document these buildings do not vandalize …… the vandals are people who come in for fun and crazy
Teenagers with no awareness would do something like this.
It’s even sicker what was written on wall.
It's called drugged out creeps.
You could call some decorators vandals too.
Catch phrase ‘MUCK ON’ sounds appropriate!
I like Muck On.
“Muck On” 👍
Muck on😂
Muck on indeed!
I like that. What about you guys, Sadie and Stan?
Keep the cross from Lourdes in your chateau, it will bring blessings to the chateau.
It was great to see your brothers there, such a caring loving family.
Don't forget Yanis!!

love seeing the entire family together, helping each other. the humour is off the charts in this. :)
(and Yanis :) )
Michael your hair looks fabulous.
Michael is always fabulous. He’s the reason I started watching the Petherick family in the first place! Good to see him happy! ❤
It certainly does. Well worth what you went through x
Yes his hairline looks fantastic…so nice to see Michael at Mucky
Drone footage intro is epic.... Seeing the snow fluff off the roof great moments....
It has the Billy touch!
Love the intro drone shots with the music!😘
Very steep pitch on the roof
@@kateyoung1308 They had to be steep. It was hard to find 4-story roof rakes back then!
Wonderful music choice🎉❤😊thanks from Australia
Everything The Pethericks touch, turns to gold! What a great family you all are!
You got rid of Satan and found Jesus! Hallelujah!
😅 all in a days work... you gotta love it
Stan is an amazing Renaissance Man! Poetry, Math, Cars, French and so much more!
A man with whom I share many interests…except math. He can have that. His knowledge of Shakespeare is amazing.
The snippets of Shakespeare thrown in are brilliant, we have the lot. Humour, history and Shakespeare.
And Harry Potter!
So love the references to Shakespeare ❤
Michael! Great to see you.
Yannis and Michael together make a great comedy duo! ❤

OMG Sadie you know michael and billy gonna cause havoc and dont give Yanis a metal bar he will knock chateau down

The artifacts make it worth sifting through the rubble.
That's why it would be hard to have a company come in and clear out the trash & rubble. Sticky fingers would find, and most like keep the treasures. They seem to be doing a great job. The Pethericks & friends are all very supportive of each other.
Y'all are having WAY too much fun! The family that saves chateau together, stays together!
Glad to see Michael glad he’s well
Michael is always such a hoot!! 💕
Love the cheeky ‘inspector’!
Love how Michael can just turn everything around with just one flick of a spray can . 😆
and how quickly Michael's smiling eyes light up a room.
Stan has such a bright, genuine smile too.
Glorie to Stan - brilliant

Omg i love the harry potter reference
I laughed out loud when Michael did that, totally unexpected
And Yanis popping his head out from the little door under the stairs!😂
Hilarious!🤣
I’m enjoying the variety, especially seeing more of your individual personalities. Excited about the project!
Loved seeing everyone together! What a hoot!
I love that you are saving history and such a lovely family, that includes Stan
So lovely to see you Michael! 👏
LOL when Michael fixed the Satan problem
Really obviously any graffiti is just so petty. Everyone knows it just isn't worth paying attention .it gonna get removed
@@stephaniewilliams-v5y that requires common sense. Which is far less common than one might expect.
Yes, that was very clever.

Every comment already expressed what I would say. Fun channel, people, project! Muck on!
I can't wait to see this as a home again.
Oh you need to fix that, says Michael walking through a derelict chateau...😂😂😂
I laughed at that point 😂

Go Michael. Looking handsome
One fairly small room; but so much rubble. Muck on Sadie, Stan and family.
Good to see Michael, Billy, and Janis helping you... and Michael bringing his quirky sense of humour!

🏰🏍🏍 Stan the man and his beautiful lady, you guys are amazing. There really is so much warmth when the Pethricks get involved.
Thank you Michael
Omg I’m in stitches. Trying to be quiet at work and all you can hear is me snickering away. “Wake up Potter!!” I spat my coffee out.
And then Yanis pokes out from under the stairs 😂

I’ll say it again, beautiful filming
It’s Billy’s, of course it is first class, just like everything he does

Relly like Stan's channel discussing the history of the Chateau de Pennard. It is very interesting.
Where is that?
It's called "le mystère de Pannard" it's in french with english subtiles. Very interesting.

What a great first week, lots done . That was a fun vlog, I love your hair Michael. Hope you all have a relaxing weekend, see you Monday xxx💕💕
That is the indoor horse stable with stalls. And feeding windows. You found an actual horse blanket.
Can’t wait to see what room you will do next.
I have some old wool blankets (Indian style) that I used for my kids and now for feet. Were used at picnics ,camping, wall art , pets , and our cellar in Maine dirt floor. Washed up fine, still fine. They where my Mothers blankets given to Nana, as my Grandpa traveled across and back America for work, late 20's and one that came from Grandpa on Dad's side who came over from the Orkneys 1905. It had a little more wear (plaid)as he had 8 rug rats at time. Wool is amazingly durable when pampered and cleaned
Glory to Stan!❤
The combination of the steep pitched roof, and the perimeter ledge, helps shed the snow, and cast it further from the foundation, when it does slide!
That ledge wold be a detriment to a shallow pitch, and gives the optics of period engineering, and why certain features were in the designing!

I propose that every time someone goes up or down the basement stairs, they have to pull off a piece of that nasty floral wallpaper and/or the vinyl floor wall covering. I'm pretty sure they're not original to the house.
That what I thought too, pull some off.
They might not be original but they are part of the history of the house and the people who lived there.

I thought they could pull off a big enough fragment to frame and people could see what was on the walls.
