@@MIck-M yeah they do work good together, he definitely has patience. That man is living my dream. I rescued baby bunnies, birds, mink & chipmunks and released them never to see them again. He's so lucky to get to see the animal he helped as a pup grow up every day.
@@gabister88 Yes, I get echidnas here and rescue them from roads etc but can't release them here (echidna breeding ground out the back) because they need to stay near where found. I also get kangaroos in strife from time to time but call the rescue people - either way, I rarely get to see them again. There is one on the header of my youtube that I got on the road out the front and re released here but hard to tell them apart. Cheers

We adopted a dog that we much later found out by DNA testing was 12.9% Grey Wolf. Loved her for almost 16 years. Watching Weave reminds me so much of her, things we just got used to that aren't part of normal dog ownership. Your "Boop" game was what I called "Pokey". She would even get mad when I did "Remote Pokey" and just said it while pointing at her snout. Love your videos.

Just nitpicking but the correct term is 'tame' - you can't domesticate one animal it's a process that happens over generations. (it's not a criticism I'm just explaining)

Normally when the cubs grow big and they get teeth the mother chases them away because it hurts her breasts. That is when they learn that biting hurts. Maybe she lost contact to her mother to early so she didn't learn that.

I lived with a wolf for 15 years. The best part of it is that wild animals aren't bred to be your best friend so everything is a compromise. Real love has to be earned and is a two-way street.
"Broken" animals aren't a walk in the park either. As a healer for horses, the ones well cared for from birth understood, the ones that were not just wanted to kill us. we were the sadistic humans visiting every day.

When I see judges forbidding people to own a pet for 2 years after they beat the crap of a previous pup in full sight, I don't get it. The SOB gets to do it again !! Switzerland, not so long ago had the guts to say it and make cats into furs very legally. on the other hand they had permits for semi-wild animals. They have a number of wolves half-breeds.
