The brain of this stuff is a guy called Rene Steichen from RTL Productions. Absolutely great creations. Thanks for sharing this real rare animations. In the eighties this production studio was one of the references in creating clips.
Interesting. The first example was originally made for German RTLplus and the second one was part of the intro of the German show "Die stillen Stars" on ZDF. ua-cam.com/video/vuRCJuBBGpw/v-deo.html (5:09) (Can't find the other right now but it used to be here on YT. I'll update once I find it.)
I'm currently putting together a playlist with the animations found in this showreel in their full length: ua-cam.com/play/PLbgwmo6yT9k9vszvCoomVO90_hVYJ1025.html A lot is still missing so if you could point me to a few videos containing these animations in their full length, that would be awesome. 🙂
Looks like RTL Productions also produced computer graphics for Sky. And also for the German public station ZDF, which is surprising considering that the public (ARD and ZDF) and private stations (RTL Plus, Sat.1 etc) weren't exactly at friendly terms back then. The show "Die stillen Stars" ("The silent Stars", see 0:31 and 2:22) was broadcast at ZDF.
Luxemburg . But it's a multinational broadcasting company (in Europe) they have some channels in Belgium (As RTL TVI) , France (As groupe M6 & RTL9) , Netherlands (As RTL4 .....etc) , Germany , Hungary (As RTL Klub , RTL 2) , Croatia (As RTL televizja , RTL 2) .
