there's a small exploit you can do with Shulk's final smash (i found it by accident), you can use down b and hold down the button to bring up the monado selection, then you can choose an art without activating the final smash. they'll effect the final smash, like buster making it deal more damage but less knockback, and smash for less damage but more knockback
I like that Lucas hint at the very beginning of the video with the Rope Snake. Kind of tells you that Lucas KOs Kirby without straight up saying it.

The goal is to see if the final smash alone can do it the inputs for bayonetta would knock kirby back which in the rules of the challenge, is cheating.

@@michaelrj3228 yeah but it doesnt matter the challenge is to activate the final smash and then see how far they go. if an input that doesnt knock kirby way is required sure but to sttack kirby would knock him away making this cheating
I honestly think this challenge needs a redo for a few reasons:
-some characters have a final smash that transports them midair to the second panel, thus resetting the launching point to be at the second panel instead of where Kirby was first standing
-Kirby was always starting IN the first panel, which i personally think is a landing area, not a launch area.
-a thought up for debate, honestly: in regards to characters like Jigglypuff and Piranha Plant, who can move Kirby forward during their final smash moves before the final blows. Would that distance count? Or would their positions need to be adjusted to have Kirby truly be launched from where he was standing?
Here's what I suggest:
-kirby needs to stand to left before the first panel.
-have the left edge of the first panel be the center of the stage, so when characters like Ike or Greninja do their final smash, they will end up launching Kirby from the true launch point.
-if we're going to adjust Jigglypuff's final smash, have them stand further left so when they grow, they won't push Kirby forward. And Piranha Plant's final smash, Petey Piranha, would need to move and get in position to have its final blow launch Kirby from where he was standing. I understand how that could probably be difficult to wield, but worth a shot.
Plus sephiroth's final smash had multiple possible outcomes, with one being extreme knock back, which needs to be taken into account
Personally, I thought one of the flaws was that it didn't account for omnidirectional knockback. I honestly think there should be a starting 0 panel, then expand out from there in every direction. After all, certain final smashes are meant more for vertical knockback, and Ganondorf has a spike on his starting hitbox(though I'm not sure how that would be factored in). Also I feel like if you could find a way to hit Kirby without moving him, that would at least give Bayo a final smash to work with.
Jigglypuffs growth is PART of the final smash, theres zero reason you should take that away from her
I think it deserves a redo, but I have to disagree with you on nerfing characters who transport the target over… that factors in to the FS move. They still have to catch the attack on the original starting tile
This can be easily resolved by making kirby start in the middle of the arena, and having the distance panels count out from both ends. If they want to do a second video for verticality launches, then have it count upwards, or with arcs (circles with the centers at Kirby's spawn point so its equidistant all around him. That way, no matter what final hits kirby or where he goes, the launch point is pretty much always going to be at the spawn point (center stage), and can launch in any direction and get a reading. There'd be far fewer exceptions with this layout. Bayo is still an exception due to her attack requirement just to get her attack off, but maybe having a 3rd player chara to get her set up, and then her final hits Kirby as well could count? I forget if her attack hits everyone in range or just the attacker.

The fact that Sephiroth literally destroys planets in his smash animation, but moves Kirby 1.5 blocks is such a slap in the face 😂
Sephiroth should have a pardon as his smash is able to give a launch effect which makes the opponent launch higher than normal, this guy got Flower so not technically Sephiroth’s best attack in this situation

If you activate Roy's Final Smash to Kirby's right not facing him, the first half of Roy's attack (the fire) makes kirby go into the second half (the strike), making him go further with more damage

If Pikachu, Pichu, Sheik, & Rosalina got redos for better directional positioning, then Ness, Bowser, & Ice Climbers should've too. (I don't think Diddy or Lucario could be helped, though.)
I think he was just showing how far the knockback would be if he had come at it from that side. The "redos" didn't count for the challenge.
They didn’t get a redo because the position wouldn’t change anything. Giga Bowser and the Ice Mountain would still be in the same position, and I’m guessing Ness’s PK Starstorm was too fiddly to work consistently.
Some of them were inconsistent and they could've gotten better results by standing closer to Kirby. For example Dark Samus sent Kirby further than how normal Samus did it by standing closer to him. And all those who use cinematic Final Smashes should stand closer to Kirby, so he doesn't get dragged too much to the left.
I think if you remove characters who by chance hit kirby multiple times while he's floating and characters who do a weird reposition to the center before knocking away opponents (like meta-knight), then Pit is the strongest forward blasting ultimate (I could be wrong).
Diddy, Lucario and Pac-Man especially deserved a re-do

Could you imagine if the Chaos Emeralds could be launched towards Kirby or the recipient of the Final Smash? That may have given Sonic the edge had that been the case.
I'm surprised no one commented on the fact that this was done by using the FS Meter version of their attacks, which is weaker than the Smash Ball way. Also judging by the glowing aura around the fighters, I'm gonna guess it used a "Final Smash Power Up" Spirit to compensate, but still. Wonder who could've gotten better results with full power Final Smashes.

As a Lucas main I already knew. Feel like there could’ve been diddy king potential but maybe not consistent enough I get it
Roy could have done better. The hit box for his starts behind him. If he was to the right of Kirby and facing right, it would have started dealing hits sooner and dragged Kirby over to the right side and then did the big hit.
Mr. G&W and Lucas succeeded into using their Final Smashes to knock Kirbvy to the green square. I still feel bad for Kirby for being used as a punching bag. Time for a change. Use Jigglypuff, she's lighter than Kirby.
