Thank God the store is ok. I was on edge for a while and i was slipping into a deep depression due to the well documented withdrawal symptoms that comes with a lack of card shop life. I was in a dark place and now the light pierces through the clouds to show an array of hope. A glimmer of card shop life. Praise Jesus.

Can you make a video on inventory management? What type of system do you use and how do you manage inventory from multiple locations? Maybe some tips and tricks to negotiations with suppliers or with customers would be a fun idea as well.

There is such a huge difference in some of the cards! Glad I'm not the only one who noticed. It's crazy because they basically look counterfeit.
Yep, have stock from Kaladesh whose backs look like they have a brown stone that blends in to the "leather", instead of being "black".

Hey Rudy, this video was really nice and refreshing. Just a down to earth on how the shop and life, in general, is going. I'm honestly less interested in card purchases (though onestly sealed product purchases/mail days are my jam), than I am with the mindset and being able to relate to someone who's working hard for his goals.

A bunch of the Commander 2017 decks had faded foils for the Vampire decks. All the legendary foils had faded text, the images were fine, but for some reason the text wasn't. The rest of the cards in the deck were fine. Also, a lot of Amonkeht boosters had damaged cards or miscut cards in the packs, like their cutting machine was jamming and they put the messed up cards in the packs anyway.
The tables behind the showcase could be replaced with some small shelving units to store more in that space
When I can't be in my office talking to myself, I watch Rudy do it for me.

Speaking of faded cards! I have 3 Whip Of Erebos in my collection that almost looks like three differenct cards because of the diffrence in color! Its insane!

I use to work at true manufacturing making fridges a little bigger than that.
I've noticed the lighter "pastel color" cards a lot recently, especially in kaladesh. In my experience, the rare is normal and half the pack is randomly pastel. Cards from the pre-release are often darker than later printings or have BOLD text.
I've pulled a few bad quality cards one was a rare from kaladesh and another was an amonkhet land that looked like it was doused in urine.
What brand are those chairs and tables and where can i get them? Especially those chairs. I never seen black chairs at a locals!

Hey if you do plan to put shelving down the center of the room, you should probably not use the same type you're using againstvtge wall- you will need something that's more stable as a free-standing unit. Safety first.
I love how Rudy's store is just a front to buy people's collections. It's not a real card store. It's just a neutral location.

Rudy, don't know how reliably this message will reach you, but if you want a good neutral explanation on what happened in the Force of Will "pro tour" event, I made a reddit post describing the jist of it. I'll preface this with the fact that both parties are in the wrong, but the player has more weight on his shoulders for why things escalated to the point it did. There is audio of his "blow-up" as well. He basically ran up in the judges yelled What the F#@! What's your excuse now! To the head Judge. How did he think that was going to go over....
He then went on to say "I'm gonna blow this up." Clearly he meant the situation, but one does not shout "blow up" in a public venue. A player had to even ask "What are you gonna blow up?"

I noticed when I was going through my commons and uncommons for a new edh deck yesterday that like half of the cards from the last 3-4 sets are like losing their ink? Like the cards were fine when I got them but now they are like whited out. All they have been doing is sitting in a box in my house. I guess all the rubbing between the tightly packed cards like stripped all the color. Worst ones are the black cards. I am thinking I might send you a few examples, but man what shit quality control.
I need to send you some stuff myself. XD I had some terrible quality printing with battle for zendi. Had like half a booster box of bad faded cards. >.>

The quality issues have been going around for some time now. Yesterday at Ixilan pre-release, one guy had two rares missing the holo wizard's logo at the bottom. Basically turned a 4$ rare worthless.
My favorite example is from BfZ. I have a Lifespring Druid that is lime green!
Edit: My buddy bought the cat commander deck. All of the foil rares have super faded text.
Its getting annoying.

Rudy please do a video where you tear wizards apart comparing them to other card companies and giving them advice as to how to do better. Personally I think if you did it and certain other UA-cam channels tweeted it we could see an improvement. The fact is many people don't know the average experience/ average card. The internet gives us the ability to connect beyond what is typical and will allow you to say for everyone "Hey WotC get your shit together for all of us!"

Rudy that Cooler needs at least a 4 inches of clearance from the wall, preferably 6 inches man! Otherwise it will be prone to over heating and under cooling the product, as well as reducing the coolers life. Much like what a wife does to a man. BAM!
