It's a valid point, something so edible without any defences is in a strange place evolutionarily speaking. Well on the way to being extinct just by being such a good feedstock.
The plant is nutricious, i understand, but HOW does this plant protect the tasty goodies? also: the nutritional scientist really shoudl overthink his position if "paranoia" is how he classifies common sense of a deathworldler.
Yes, exactly. Are there no grazers in the world yet, nothing for it to defend itself against yet? If it's a world of 100% plants, then it might just be safe to be the tastiest thing ever.
Some Earth plants produce nutritious fruit as a reproduction strategy. Animals eat the fruit then excrete or otherwise throw away the seeds in the fruit in new locations, increasing the chances that the plant reproduces without its progeny competing with it for the same soil.
@@noppornwongrassamee8941 yes but like the Apple there still poisonous the seeds making it so that animals that don't crush the seeds while eating unexposed to the poison and sow the seeds can be transferred safely to new area

That clockmaker story was truly touching ❤️
Also, FOR THE ALGORITHM!!
Touching and creepy…but also cool.
No creature can beat the marching clock of time
turn the clock around and it will march away from you :D
But some can fall into step, and slow that march to a more reasonable pace.

There must be a lack of animals to eat the plants.
maybe the plant is like grass and releases a scent pleasant to predators
How fast does the plant grow? Kudzu is good fodder.
Oh human friend Steve you are the best.
