Working on 2 identical toro's althought 1 is rwd. That stuff in the bowl jet is the oring on the emulsion tube. Suprised it ran without changing it.
I don’t think so. It was remnants of fuel line debris as it was collapsing. I’ve never seen an Emulsion o-ring on tecumseh carbs

Those are always worth fixing up. I’ve got those damn woodpeckers all over the place this year, just had a huge tree branch come crashing down less than 5 minutes after I was mowing under it last week because of those bastards!
I need to google woodpeckers and find out why they do what they do.

Hi Henry, i use bread twist tie wire for them holes
So do I. I believe I said in the video take a bread bag twisty tie and shear the plastic off.
Hey Henry, how are ya? There should be a little hole in the center of the gear that you can stick a can of brake clean in and clean it out. I think it's pretty cool too watch all the old gunk come out. Then put in either fluid film or red n tacky. Hope this helps ya for future references

I don't really prefer Tecumsehs as much either, but I must admit that they've always seemed to be solid and durable engines. I guess that it just may be that I don't get them or work on them very often and I have almost NO parts for them.
Come on how about a quick oil change and sharpen the blade a drop of two of oil on the cables he is family❤
Uncle Leo is a senior retired member of our community. He likes to work on his own machines that he’s capable of doing. I only charged him $25 for a complete repair of his issues, and shined it up for him. I barely wanted to stop what I was doing and did it because he was a friend of a friend. He has oil and blades did t need sharpening. You think he would have liked me to add another $5-$10 to the bill or do you think he was already thankful for the quick service? Different situations warrant different service. Sometimes people want to do their own thing so they still feel capable. A drop or two of oil? How about coating the entire mower with oil, or did you miss that part?
Tecumseh went out of business in 2008 making all these mowers 15+ years old now. There's oil all over the engine block, prob puking oil out the top breather. High crankcase pressure due to worn out rings and bore. A lot of these if not most are sitting in a landfill. Engines are fine, problem is no one took care of them.

Those wheels need a lot of wd40 and some other cleaners as surface rust has gotten to it from years of non use and being left outside I bet

Henry those woodpeckers are working overtime on that tree. You dont need to bash tecumseh mower engines as i do enough for both of us! Actually the engines are ok, its their carbs that SUCK! 😮 😢📽👍
It's good that owners of lawn mowers do not know any better; otherwise, I would not have picked up three Honda engine mowers and a Honda pressure washer off the street... LOL
