    Thank you, followed this to the letter ahead of changing the heater from my donor Saab. Great to know it won't come back!

    Thank you so much ...I would never have thought of this solution myself, whilst I have not checked yet I'm certain that this work will cure the leak.

      The cure for the leak is here: ua-cam.com/video/NcennoeNCQk/v-deo.html
      There's a link to some EPDM strip in the description if you can't find any locally.

    Hi Cyd, your video is tremendous at highlighting the cause and solution to the problem. My issue is a little different in that I get water in the rear off-side footwell, directly behind the driver's seat. there is no water in the driver's footwell. What are your thoughts on what could be the cause? By the way, I am not a mechanic so don't want to start something that I can't finish :) Thanks.. Val

      Remove the rear door casing and carefully inspect the door shedder. It's 2mm foam and looks strong, but it's not, it tears easily.

  •  7 місяців тому

    Your said there was another video for how to get the seat out first, can you link to it? Couldn't find it by searching. I already fixed the blocked bung, but need to dry it out!

    What would cause the foam under the carpet to disintegrate? It has holes in it and foam particles are distributed to area's that don't have carpet, like underneath the center console. Almost like bugs did it.

    Hi Cyd, could the water leak causes water to go to the boot/trunk when parking the car on a really steep way?

    • @CycloneCyd
      @CycloneCyd  3 роки тому +1

      No. You must have a leak in the boot. See my boot leaks video

    Have you ever changed the ECT sensor? I have to change mine, but I can’t figure out how to open the plastic clip on it, and I am afraid to break it, as I will have to replace the wiring.

    • @CycloneCyd
      @CycloneCyd  4 роки тому

      No, I've never changed my ECT. It should be a simple clip to undo to remove the connector. Which engine?

    • @xXFuZeSnipeZzXx
      @xXFuZeSnipeZzXx 4 роки тому +1

      Cyclone Cyd 1.9 TiD. My mechanic wouldn’t do it and he is a saab specialist. He was also afraid of breaking something

      @@xXFuZeSnipeZzXx with mine being a petrol, I'm not familiar with the diesel, but I am looking at one tomorrow for a friend (changing rear spring and arb bushes). Whereabouts is the ECT sensor? Do you have to remove other stuff to get at it? Is that what you're worried about breaking?

    • @xXFuZeSnipeZzXx
      @xXFuZeSnipeZzXx 4 роки тому

      Cyclone Cyd It is located on the right side of the engine, kind of halfway down the engine bay. You don’t have to remove the cover or anything else to reach it. The worry is the clip itself as I can’t figure out how it works, and I have tried forcing it off but it is stuck there good :D

      @@xXFuZeSnipeZzXx Here you go. Might be worth spraying it with brake cleaner first, though I didn't.

      I didn't find it difficult, awkward yes but not difficult. I should find a better mechanic!!

    I left only top window open and passenger foot are was wet but not other areas ...will it dry out if I left door open?

    • @cheapswede
      @cheapswede 2 роки тому

      No. You must lift up the carpet. I thought mine dried out after running the heater and opening the window. It felt dry. Then lifted up the carpet, and it is sopping wet under there. The foam is a big sponge.
