Lungsel is an offbeat tourist destination situated within Kalimpong district and located around 90 km away from Jalpaiguri and 85 km away from Siliguri. The route to Lungsel passes through Odlabari from New Jalpaiguri Railway station which is the nearest rail head. From NJP railway station around 42 km away lays Odlabari and from there around 23 km more via Parhorjhora Tea Estate is Lungsel located. The altitude of Lungsel village varies between 3500 to 4000 ft which is a very nominal altitude that suits all kinds of travel enthusiasts. Lungsel is an ideal destination for those who love to stay within the lap of nature with absolute silence all over along with a taste of adventure and are also keen to get a view of river Teesta and Mount Kanchenjungha
