I love Zeke building sandcastles during what is essentially the end of the world. He's so iconic. One of my favorite characters to be honest. I absolutely love the moment of Armin saying thank you to Eren and it cuts to Eren looking shocked because it feels very reminiscent of Mikasa thanking Eren for wrapping her scarf. Both Armin and Mikasa thanked Eren for helping them and showed him appreciation when he thought he was worthless. After all these years, it's finally over. We are free. Goodbye to all of the amazing characters from this story, both alive and dead. Goodbye Armin and Mikasa. And to Eren, the boy who sought freedom, goodbye. Thank you, Isayama.
I'm holding off on watching it (ill probably watch it tonight or tomorrow) been watching this series for a decade, from a pre-teen to a young adult. Thank you Isayama for such a special series, I'm lucky to be born when I was. Very sad it's finished but very happy to have been able to experience, watch, theorize, and enjoy this series with such a (mostly) great community.
Manga readers went absolutely batshit insane the moment the last chapter dropped. They were having so many theories that they gaslit themselves into thinking that the foundations of those theories are actual "build up" and "foreshadowing" that when those theories didn't happen, it disappointed them and they genuinely think that Isayama somehow didn't payoff the setups they imagined. They genuinely think it "ruined" the entire series, that it's "garbage" and everyone should think of it as such. This led to a massive hate train where every manga reader tries to convince others that the ending is shit and attacked those that didn't agree. Then, they attacked Isayama, giving him a lot of death threats to the point that this poor guy cried on stage, asking for forgiveness. At this point, they were thinking that the last four seasons were just "luck", an insult to Isayama's efforts, I'm not even joking, they really thought that. They kept focusing on the most nitpicky things, while hyperfocusing so much on memes that they somehow managed to turn into criticism (people hated the last panel because they really thought Eren became a pigeon at the end and also people really hammered on the crying scene without even trying to understand the subtext). Somehow, they forgot how to read subtext in a manga that relies on it as a narrative device for most of its run.
@@alexaraujo1731I was a manga reader who liked the ending, and yes it's been very satisfying watching the meltdown of manga readers in the Titanfolk subreddit.
I highly recommend the video "The last mystery of Attack On Titan" by the channel "invaderzz" which goes deep into Ymir and why Mikasa was the one to free her.
I feel like the end scene sums up that conflict is inevitable. Like Pyxis said in S3, "Humans will continue to fight one another until the day there's one human or less." The "Futurama" ending is like ripping off a band-aid, tens of thousands of years of conflict summed up in a single time-lapse. Be that as it may, I don't think the series is saying people like Armin are wrong for seeking peace against the inevitability of conflict. It's saying the exact opposite, in spite of war, violence, and conflict humanity should strive for peace even though they'll never have it. It's also saying that despite the sometimes cruel and conflict filled existence that is life, life itself has inherent value. The insignificant moments Armin was talking about are enough to give it great importance. I heard in an interview with Isayama and Yukimura (Vinland Saga's Mangaka) that Isayama is a fan of Vinland Saga. You can definitely see some thematic crossover between the two series. I love the messages of both AoT and Vinland, really thought provoking stuff. For anyone that bothered reading this, I hope you have a great day, I'm gonna miss this series, Thanks Isayama...
Yooo where da gang at? It's been a while would love to see some vids from y'all again.
Near the end the lyrics do say . History repeats again .

Zekes been in the paths for decades minimum, hundreds? I’d be building sandcastles too

Not the end nearly anyone expected (or wanted to a degree).
But an ending that has bought so many people together.

It must have been quite a surprise for manga readers when they saw that anime watchers liked the ending
@@alexaraujo1731 it's so funny since anime onlies are rubbing it on their faces, even posting on their hate threads in reddit

You are absolutely right that most of the people who disliked the ending were the Floch fans.
😭😭😭
Chainsaw Man Movie teaser just dropped, It looks interesting... It feels like last week S1 ended, wasn't expecting any news for another year at least.
