- Gallantmon vs DarkKnightmon is a tough matchup for both sides.
Gallant wants to delete things and DarkKnightmon wants to be deleted... just maybe not as much as Gallant can delete every turn.

Had this matchup yesterday. My opponent and I referenced this video once the delete/spawn shenanigans started.

@@TheSqueakyMoose Gallantmon. Took it 2-1 in game 3 because he decked himself out because the two searchers he spawned forced him to trash.

Also wanna point out that at around 6:20 you played mighty axe mode using darkknights "All Turns: when deleted" effect, but decided to use Pagumons effect first which wasn't right. Mighty Axe's On Play was the newest trigger from darkknight and should've been done first before going back to pagumons On Deletion.
I think that Darkknight is strong but hard to compete with the meta decks at the moment.

You’re right I should have done the pagu effect before playing the Axe lad but since I had played it I would need to do that effect first. Things I need to pay more attention to 😅

Thank you! I think I should have gone in there honestly, just clear the security completely and leave them defenceless. I was probably thinking I wanted the chuumon to stop memory gain but with all the deletion effects I should have known that wouldn’t matter haha

At 9:45, how do u iron fisted. Theres no black digimon or tamers on the field after monitamon dies.

That was a very good match, I build darkknightmon deck recently with everyone saying it's a bad deck but I'm actually enjoying it a lot so far!
Though I have a question about ratios if you don't mind, like I'm quite sure what to play for the archetypal cards, but what about the non archetype part of your Deck? How many immortal ruler and Bagramon you play? How many rookies? Defensive options?

Just checked my ratios so I’m running:
4 bt10 monitamon, 3 bt6 chikurimon, 2 starter chikuri and 1 memory blocker chuumon.
Defensive options in running 1 ultimate flare, 1 ironfisted onslaught and 1 d.g.dimension
It all depends on your locals and the meta so I went for a broad spread but play and change whatever feels like it’s not working 😁
@@TheSqueakyMoose oh so you basically play as many rookies as me so that's good, thank you so much for the advice! I went to locals just today and darkknightmon performed really well even though I've been playing for a short while, only lost to mastemon because my opponent managed to deck me out, but otherwise I could've won all three games!

How many cards were in your deck at the end of game 3? You missed the on play of the final Mighty Axe mode when Darkknightmon was deleted by Gallantmon X.
I know what you mean I think we were at time in round and rather than doing the search I was just finishing off the game.
I definitely had more than 3 so I wouldn’t have decked out but as other people have pointed out there are a few points in the game that should have given me a game loss that we just didn’t pick up on for one reason or another.
Always happy to be called out on that stuff though, it’s generally just me being bad at the game haha 😁

Honestly this matchup is why I like Guilmon X. Not a fan of Growlmon X though. Doesn’t offer enough value to justify a spot in deck.
How did you play the iron fist with nothing on board?
I shouldn’t have been able to, someone else pointed it out too. I just didn’t think about it since it’s a mono coloured deck definitely impacts the game and probably should have cost me the match 😅
The lvl 4 growlmon that deletes a 3000dp is an on deletion efect, not a when digivolving
That is what was originally printed on the card but they put out an errata.
It was always intended to be when digivolving, I'll try to only upload the correct version in my videos from now on :)

Are digimon with Security effect can actived when attacking the opponent security?
Digimon that have “Security” effects only trigger that effect when they are revealed from security :)

11:15 Anyone noticed he cheated the other player by attacking with Calumon.
Calumon can't attack at all.
Oooh no, he was saying to me he should have suspended calumon to gain a memory when he evolved. The gallant cleared my security with the trashing effect so his actual security check occurred when I was out of security and won the game.
I saw another comment saying something about it but without the time stamp I didn’t know what they were talking about. Thanks for pointing it out though! With all my misplays this game I wouldn’t have been surprised if I missed more haha 😅
uhm, at around 1 minute ur monitamon dies and u use pagumon effect, it reveals a bagramon and u add it to had, bagramon is not a black digimon
I am dumb, that changes a lot. Even in play back I thought it was a darkknightmon I should have done some CSI enhance zoom on it.

@@necroace7013 yeah when I was editing I thought it was weird I didn’t reveal but I thought it was a darkknightmon so it wasn’t too bad. The fact that it was bagramon makes it very bad 😖can’t say what I was thinking when I did it good thing it was recorded so we know it would have impacted the game! I’ll do better in the future 😁

Calumon cannot swing for game
you couldnt play Iron Fisted Onslaught. You didnt have any black identity card. You can only play option cards if u control any digimon/tamer that is the same color as the option card. Digitama/Digimon in raising area count but at the time you didnt have one
