Can we all agree that Saix is lowkey the most romantic character of this series? (Definitely on par with Marluxia) The things this guy does for love & those he cares about.
I think it’s really saying something that I’ve seen people in the wild, totally unprompted, be like “so this guy totally had a thing for Axel/Lea didn’t he?” And I’m talking about like, the type of fans who are otherwise deathly allergic to shipping here. Dudebro types. I’ve seen people preface that same observation with qualifiers like “I am NOT some kind of fujoshi weirdo but…” This man is so obvious about it it’s sickening lol. Saïx was down bad
Bro fr He betrayed his best friend and And got rid of multiple organization members and Became a vessel for xeahnort for a girl he only had a few interactions with
It makes saix seem more human and less cold. He was never cold, just angry and had to deal with it on the inside given the lies xemnas fed them of how they can't grow hearts. #stansaix
It's actually been a while since I watched the HD 358/2 Days movie but wow, he really _was_ jealous back then. He was laser focused on their goal but as Axel moved him up the ladder, he secretly felt he was being pushed aside for the new friends Axel was making, and he had to deal with the ass Xemnas all by himself
he wasen't, we see in the manga that he didn't care about Axel being friend with Roxas, for him, Xion was only a puppet and a thing and he didn't understand why Axel wanted so much to be friend with her. It was more like a "bro you are so stupid" than "i aM sO jEaLoUs"
@@kaihedgie1747 he said the same thing in the game "would you rather lost Roxas, or a make-believe friendship" he dosen't care about Roxas, all he want is finding his friend and he needed Axel to do it, i personnaly don't like the "i wAs JeAlOuS" it kinda dosen't make sense, and even after Axel ran away, he didn't wanted him to get back to them he didn't show real sings of jealousy, he didn't wanted Axel to stay away from Roxas
@@saix_unicorn Actually, the line is "What would you rather believe? Some make-believe friendship? Or a real one?" When he's talking about "a real one" he's referring to himself. It's in that same cutscene that he refers to Axel by his original name to get his point across. Both the original game and the new cutscenes for the retelling never once allude to or mention there being another person they were looking for. That wasn't even alluded to or mentioned until KH3 He didn't want him getting attached to Roxas _and_ Xion because the former simply looked like Ventus and the latter wasn't "real" by even a Nobody's standards. Axel wasn't the only one looking for their friend, Saix was as well. Axel was working behind the scenes to ensure Saix got into Xemnas's good graces so they'd be able to one day be able to usurp the Organization
13:33 I always thought it was funny how he talked with Sora like they were on good terms. He even somewhat protected Sora from Axel out of fear of Axel's unpredictability. When the game first came out, I thought it was because he had no true emotions to judge that Sora hated him and felt that they were, in a way, business partners; now I wonder if he always considered Sora a comrade.
He was pretending to guide him because of Xemnas' orders. You can see near the end of KH2 that he asks Xemnas if he can finally drop the facade and he says yes, which leads Saïx to go straight for the kill the next time they meet.
@dinorex3464 In terms of KH2, I thought so, too. But in the grand scheme of things, I'm not 100% positive who he was faking with. Since a lot of what he did was to gain Xemnas' trust to find what happened to "Subject X," but snowballed after Roxas' arrival, his true motives at any moment is up to interpretation at best.
@@littlebigb5370 Well, Saïx at this time was still a Nobody and the only person he was attached to was Axel, because they were friends as somebodies. With Axel dead, Saïx had pretty much lost everything and everyone he knew, so of course he stuck to Xemnas' plan.
I think at that point he was just guiding Sora the way that Xemnas wanted him to. But in reality, he just sees Sora as Roxas, who he sees as the kid that took his best friend from him. At the end of the kh2 when he asks Xemnas if he can stop the charade, he's basically saying "can I kill this fucking kid now?". He hates Sora more than he has ever hated anything, because not only did Roxas take Axel, he kicked Saix's ass and made him realize he wasn't as powerful as he though at the end of Days. That's why Saix's fight feels so personal compared to all the others. His battle lines are so incredibly full of rage and hatred and bitterness, it's crazy. It's why he goes Berserker mode. He HATES Sora. Notice how the nobodies who grew hearts the fastest were the ones connected to Sora in some way due to the strength of his heart and power of his connections? Axel and Xion became more "human" bc of their friendship with Roxas. Saix became more human because of his hatred for Sora. That rage was real, only a fully-grown heart could feel that.
But of course, after Waking up again in DDD, he gains some clarity and feels guilt about the way he treated Roxas. A lot of his anger stemmed from his own insecurities, in the character files book, it's revealed that Saix is kind of like the Riku to Axel's Sora. He saw himself as someone stronger and smarter than him, who had to work hard to protect him. What's it gonna feel like when Axel reject his friendship and no longer needs him? It'll feel like he's loosing his purpose ("when one loses their purpose, they destroy themselves") He ends up contacting Vexen and formulating a plan to redeem himself and put a stop to Xemnas' plans. He even tries to nudge things along by giving hints to the warriors of light when he can :) KH3 totally went above and beyond when it came to Saix's arc
I wonder if the reason Xion had black hair is because of Skuld. If Subject X really is Skuld and if Ansem the Wise hid her in Kairi’s heart it would make sense. Kinda how like Roxas looks like Ventus but is Sora’s Nobody. Namine is Kairi’s body but Xion takes the form of her and Skuld. (I also never understood how Namine got blonde hair and magic powers) So that means Axel and Saix are looking for Skuld at CO since Namine and Xion we’re both born there. iIt makes me wonder if Skuld is somewhere in the castle. And maybe this whole time, when Xemnas was talking about an old friend it wasn’t just Ventus, but Skuld as well.
So... The word "diviner" can also be related to titles such as "Foreteller" and "Prophet"... Where else have we heard those words? Foreteller is easy, and there's only one prophet that comes to mind..
"Diviner" isn't even a part of his Japanese title (月に舞う魔人, "Devil Dancing in the Moon[light]", ie. berserk mode), so I don't think it'll have much story relevance…
Saix is second in command, yes. Funny thing is Zexion could have become second command, and part of the reason Axel killed him other than knowing too much is that he could have threatened Saix's position.

Is it just me or do the older games look better than KH3? I know on paper KH3 is "graphically superior", but I can't help but feel that it feels like it's missing some charm the original game engine gave to the visuals of the previous entries in the series. I don't know what exactly happened during development that made them abandon the original engine for Unreal, but everything in KH3 looks overly saturated & plasticy compared to the original games.
@Duckyfish Yeah I'm sure with a better development team they could've made a way better looking game regardless of engine, it's just a shame that Square Enix is a mess.
Yes!! I was looking for this comment!! The new designs just feel really bland honestly compared to the original. It doesn’t even feel like the same characters either. Then again, KH3 was a total mess overall, especially story wise and character wise. Everyone’s stories, especially Saïx’s, felt way too rushed. It’s such a shame too caused he could’ve been such a cool character. Nearly everyone’s “redemption” arc in that game felt extremely rushed. I think bringing in the whole “time-traveling” is probably what messed the story up the most, to be honest. Saïx/Isa will always hold a special place in my heart, but I hate the way they portrayed him in KH3, as well as other characters.
Mindlessly collecting hearts. The rage of the keyblade releases those hearts. They gather together. Masterless and free untill they weave together to make... Kingdom Hearts.
So something I just realized When Saix went to visit Lea and questioned why he bought 3 Saix then proceeded to take one and leave with I just realized how heavy that foreshadow was since Xion was part of the 13
