Last year I downloaded some of studio Ghibli's animations as part of a valentine gift that I was preparing for my partner. Porco Rosso, Howl's Moving Castle, Princess Mononoke, Ponyo, Kiki's Delivery Service, The Cat Returns, The Tale of the Princess Kaguya and My Neighbor Totoro. I don't know why but this kind of animation that I call old school has something in it that's comforting and special. like living in Japan or SK, walking in a street in the morning, afternoon or evening and enjoying life. Now listening to a calming Lofi that has the background of an animation like Porco feels even more comfy. I haven't seen any of the animations mentioned but I really want to and have to see them. I listen to this and it cancels out so many of the useless distracting thoughts that keep me from chasing my dreams. It tickles that part of the brain that loves Facebook, and porn, and smoking my dreams away. I'm being productive not for the man, not for the society, but for the life I want to give to my family. To the art I WANT to make. Hope you're doing ok in this cruel world. Speak encouragement to others, and it will help with the negative thoughts that eat at us everyday.
