- From the episode in Chicago. Anthony talks with Steve.
All rights to original creators. I hope this one stays up, and is not taken down. I saw a version on here that was lower quality and wanted to upload the clip by itself. - Розваги
Block Club Chicago reported after Steve’s passing that he was known among his neighbors for giving away vegetables from his garden and having the best candy on Halloween.
Every time when I Watch this Episode, I have tears in my eyes. Thank you Steve and R.I.P. 😢
Steve was the embodiment of punk in its truest form. RIP Mensch.
RIP Steve
Heroes. RIP to them both...
Thank you for uploading this.
I love that they’re in my childhood joint. It was just a stand back then. #bridgeportischicago
hearing Anthony Bourdain say 'slint' feels weird but ok
As another musician said "enjoy every sandwich" cuz tomorrow is not promised, R.I.P to these 2 sandwich eaters
The best
The shared understanding of the terms " better" and "everybody" become critical when developing and carrying forward a 'business" model.
Vale Steve Albini and Anthony Bourdain
RIP to both... we're losing the good analog people. pun intended
Need the expanded version of this and similar interviews.
afaik this is all there is, but I'm sure there exists extended footage that would be pretty cool to see. Would have to be up to the creators to do so.
Two greats. Gone. 😢😢
Seeing this knowing Steve died of heart attack is quite jarring.
Watching people eat is what they both would’ve wanted.
I lived in Chicago and was in the music scene there for years. It’s full of social climbers, industry vampires, scenesters, hipsters, gatekeepers, and douchebags. So much, that I left. Best decision of my life. Steve obviously had a very different experience than I did in Chicago.
Honestly my impression is that he disconnected from any kind of “scene” after Big Black split and he focused on engineering music.
Once he reached a certain level of cache, it seems like he mostly just worked with artists he genuinely liked, and no longer had to grind it out as a musician among all the bs you mentioned just to make a living.
You describe everywhere.
Music scenes are very big and full of both good and bad people. He did say if you look you can find them did he not?
❤
Thanks a lot for this post! I didn't know they met. What a par of incredible human beings and both left us...In the meanwhile we got Trump, Putin, Netanyhau and other creeps promising to outlive us all...and people stil complain about my pessimism, atheism, depression and cynicism...go figure!
Ya know, everything you eat will kill you!!! RIP Albini and Bourdain…!!💐
It bothers me so much how lame CNN was and is. Each one of these interviews Bourdain did with anyone of note should've been the point. not his jet-setting "persona"
They didn’t have to make the show at all. I’m happy we have what we do.
What's ironic is that if you saw him on the street, you'd assume he was a regular joe. Kind of dorky and perhaps a programmer who likes yacht rock.
Explains heart attack and suicide.
Two dead guys eating
no one should be working towards egalitarianism. People aren’t equal, We should have have equal rights under the law but everybody is not gonna get paid the same that’s is lunacy and I love Steve albini but just hearing the word egalitarianism come out of his mouth is horseshit. Like does he really believe some 19 year old producer should make the same amount as him with his experience?
Two of the most unbearable and pompous people I could ever imagine.
😩
