He needs to get better he wont make it in the nba unless he hots the gym and gets into tip top shape and strength. Then at that point develop a jump.shot whrrr he actuslly jumps off the ground and a sky hook and he will shatter evey scoreing record and be totally unstoppable. Hope he does it.
@@dontayrucker2832yeah he’s only a freshman so still growing and has time to sharpen up. The biggest concern is his transitional speed. Right now he’s slow
This is a kid Purdue coach Matt Painter could really develop into something special at the next level. Painter has a vast history developing 7 footers into top college ball players.
1. Work with Hakeem Olajuwon and learn the Dream Shake and other footwork/post manuevers. Footwork drills will create more body awareness and transfer to other parts of his game. 2. Learn the skyhook. Kareem is too old and sick to teach him, but maybe someone else could. 3. Once he maxes out in size, then he can start lifting a bit. Then he's unstoppable.
something about the way he sloggs down the court and his mobility tells me that he won't make it. His size and weight will become a disadvantage, lack of speed and that power won't translate. He mighit make a good overseas player, and I could be totally wrong, but he needs more than just learning a shot and footwork from Kareem, this guy will need something else. He needs to learn how to coordinate that body better. He won't be Yao Ming level of dominance.
Actually not built like a stick either, looks like he could add some weight much easier than the other huge guys. Definitely isn’t Wemby but if he could put on weight probably could develop into a nightmare in the post.
He needs to add muscle and maintain weight or lose weight, if possible. He looks.awkward n stiff in his movement. Just read today, UF is redshirting him. That's great. Practice all year, get familiar, mold your body and he wlcan be a force next year
Imagine if trainers worked with him on plyometrics, vertical leap, and footwork? Even he maxxed out at a 24” vertical leap, he’d be able to swat away jump shots without goaltending.
A guy that size is never getting a 24 inch vert. Maybe 20 at the very most, but I’m guessing he maxes at around 16 which is all he needs at that height
All he needs is a Summer of footwork drills and it's OVER for the Competition. He's really smooth with the ball and h frame I almost already perfect! The Gators have one of the best strength and conditioning programs in the country. Can't wait to sea Oliver as a finished product
This is so wild it don’t even look real and he has so much time to develop and room to grow… he may end up like victor sheeesh ima keep my eyes open for him
When he dunked on that one kid so hard his team mate taped his own chest like that my fault i was late helping you 🤣 i watched that like 10 times before the slow motion replay 😂
I mean he looks big but those are kids that he is playing with here. Only two are 6’3” or 6’4” He looks 7’ against those kids. Yao against Shaq looks imposing, but 7’9” against Shaq looks like this, not against 6 footers. But when he dunks it looks like a child rim. Very confusing. But he is a real person.
I hope the Florida Gators coaches are smart and work him hard and RED SHIRT him he Freshman year. HE is NOT ready for college ball. After one year of intense work and workouts he should be a MAJOR force for the Gators. IF they don't work with him he will never amount to much. Time will tell if the Gator coaches do this young man right!!!!
People are going to say he needs to bulk up but if he trains, speed and quickness training with a good personal trainer like reactive training type stuff and keeps working on his shooting, imagine if he can shoot 3's but doesnt have to work so hard to get them off and still be slamming like Shaq, the sky's the limit.
Uses his height well. Good shot blocker, Dribbles better than expected. Needs to play against better players to overcome bad habits and improve. Seems like a nice kid, and has a very high ceiling, if he puts in the work to get there.
I saw this guy on Florida Roster and I was like that got to be a Miss print he's probably 6'9 not 7'9 holy crap! This dude is a giant playing basketball, Probably going to be in the WWE one day!
I hope UF is being extra smart with his strength and conditioning...he can have a long career if he doesn't play a lot of minutes and can develop a mid range game...
If I was that tall I feel like I would just get bored. Like bro can touch the rim on his tippie toes like he barely has to jump or run to score. I would definitely get bored
I’m not hating on the kid. I am so proud of him. He’s gonna be awesome, but I swear this doesn’t look fair at all. It’s not his fault. It’s funny at the same time to watch him play.
I’m going to tell you what his problem is it’s so easy for him to score i honestly think he’s thinking about how everyone would feel if he just keeps going off once he gets better competition it will force him to want to be the best player on the floor and we will get to see that he’s very capable and just needs to develop the routine and Mindset I think a lot of the hesitation we are seeing is him second guessing what he should do

He’s so tall they not calling any of the reaching fouls 😂 I think he’s going to be the tallest non-pathological person of all time (meaning person without gigantism). That title currently belongs to 7’9 Angus Macaskill who was 7’1 at 15. This kid was 7’5.
So this is my first glimpse on this dude... .... What's going on with him? Is he being scouted? Is that a league? Camp? School? What's the deal?. Thanks. Balling 4 life! 🏀
He strange because it doesn’t look like he has that acromegaly giant disease. He’s kind of handsome in his face doesn’t look like the bones are growing out. I wonder if those naturally tall people it’s very rare.
Looks like he is playing with 5 yr olds. Hopefully will stay healthy. Not sure where he would fit in on an NBA team now. Better practice those 3 pointers.
Remember, he’s literally just a kid that wants to have fun.
Yeah I also know, girls just wanna have fun as well.
With NIL he is a professional athlete, not just a kid that wants to have fun. When you are getting paid for your work any criticism is valid.
the definition of a stiff. he absolutely sucks at basketball
@@jon-p5c8g yo mama should've sucked
He reminds me of Kramer in the karate class fighting the 10 YEAR OLD KIDS

Its not Karate its Ka-ra-teee as Kramer was saying
😂😂😂
LOL, best comment
imagine being some hs kid and you go to an opposing gym and one of the dudes u see is like 8 feet tall and u look at ur friends and shake your head
Yup ya getting dunked on today 🤣
he looks surprisingly durable for that size
Good frame and build, but really stiff in his movements.
Not really lol, he almost fell running slowly trying to save that ball, just a clumsy giant
Hes got the height AND some mass to him he aint just a big ass mantis

wonder how pissed off i would be sitting behind this guy in a packed movie theatre lol.
Pissed off himself, having to be that tall, checking into motels'hotels with dinky beds...😁
This puts me in the mind of me dominating my son on the door basketball goal 😂

Yes sir go gators

Amazing how his dribble is just as tall as the opponent's point guard lmao

Wow, never thought of that. He made Edie (sp?) into a good player and this kid is what 5" taller than him haha.
lakers this need
Kid is VERY nice!! Don’t see hoopers this tall moving with this much grace. 👍🏾
God bless the young man!
Lol. I just read a comment comparing this kid to Victor Wembenyama. There is no comparison. This kid is playing on the JV team.
He has a long way to go to even compare to Victor....He looks like a 10-12 minute a game player in the NBA who will be gone in 5.
Gotta love internet scouts 🤦🏾♂️
Absolutely not close to Wemby, but he absolutely has better mobility than most guys his size
Gheorghe Muresan vibes.

Any taller and he wont last one NBA season having to run up and down the court constantly. His knees will give out.
Even with THE height, I'm not sure he can make it with these skills and footwork in NBA.

Tacko Fall couldn’t cut it and he was like 7’6. I think they’re both too slow to really be effective

I wonder if he is done growing yet? Looks like he is having a great time, looks like a very nice young man!
