Hey Daric. Being an 'ear' player, I've used some of the modes you demonstrated in worship music, but I never knew what the heck I was playing. But I will tell you one thing - my brain exploded when you kicked in that envelope filter. Thank you for the tips of focusing on the 'shapes' which is the only thing I've been able to truly relate to in your lesson - and the thumb / forefinger thing (great for palm muting). Beautiful!
i always feel the stuff you teach and i play in my mind and heart and know what it should sound like and want to fill in the spaces. in my heart i play in the colours you teach. i dont actually play any instrument but my hands and heart have a mind of their own and displays the movements while my heart hears the sounds that shouldbe there. does your dog pal sing when you play. i love how he is your pal when you play. seem he loves it.
You are skilled beyond my comprehension at this point in my bass career, but damn, it's fun to watch you play. Good for my soul! Thanks for the inspiration!
How are you adding the "outside notes". When you started demonstrating the scale it sounded like you added outside color tones, like the major third, the sharp 4, etc... Interested in your approach here. Thanks!
Super Cool! Technically though, Ab would be the bb7. The natural 6 is G#. Semantics maybe, but especially as we have an A natural in the scale (the b7), G# keeps things straight. B, C#, D, E, F#, G#, A.
Daría I hope you ser and read this.i habe played with many people you know.I am all the players.i think you are the best and my favorite.iwould love to take private lessons from you and Half as good.i just think you know you instrument so well. SCOTT G
I don’t get it? That D# in the bassline doesn’t belong in the B Dorian scale? You start off by talking about Dorian and then immediately throw down a bassline that isn’t in Dorian. Quite confusing for your less experienced viewers?
Why does everyone say “D Dorian”? Dorian doesn’t always have to be over D. Does it? I find this confusing. I never hear anyone saying “L Locrian”. If your in E is wouldn’t It be F# Dorian? The modes, man. None of that stuff makes senses.
The way he handling this Guitar is Amazing
I'm a metalhead and wasn't hip to Daric. I'm really diggin his vids and I'm glad I found em. Lots of great stuff here!
You make learning fun. Your explanations and visuals are top notch. Bass nation under a groove and gettin down just for the funk of it!

Different league Daric. Sometimes I don't know what you're talking about or doing, but your groove is enough for me. Thanks for your uploads.

Which envelope filter do you use?? That was gnasty!
I’m coming over to the academy’
What pedal did you use for the Envelope Filter?
Hi Daric, what are the chords you are playing..thx
Nice ! however chord tone solos are what the old katz used to go by. I use both but enjoyed your approach ;)
That’s so funny bro I have been trying to come up with new ways to teach the theory in more practical playing.
Daric sir, What envelope filter are you using? Been trying to get THAT tone. Thank you.
It's the mxr m82 bass envelope filter
3:08 Doing that thumb index finger technique on the same string is really weird and difficult.
Amazing as always 🙏😊☺️🌜🌝🌛
Keep being the Light 💯💯💯

Sorry for the typos I was excited.
🔥🔥🔥
You just gave me a permanent stank face, thanks
WOAH
Brasil
The Durian scale gives you the stank face cuz it's just a nasty fruit.
I see what you did there.
xD
💙👊😎
Stronger than natural 6th is with the minor 3rd. That's a triton.
What kinda of bass is that ??
But the actual bassline isn’t in Dorian?
Filtrolicious!

Was that the robot
Daric, FYI, your Instagram link goes to a dead page.
bruh!!!! bruh!!!

In most of the examples you find, they teach in the key of C. D Dorian is related to the key of C. So yes in E major, it would be F# Dorian.
its mostly taught in key c dats y... but ure right of course... Dorian s a unique scale/mode just as any mode/scale
