The Judy Garland movie A STAR IS BORN was a great movie.

Judy couldn't possibly believe what she said about drunken parasite husband Sid Luft, whose experience prior to "A Star is Born" was producing a B movie for Monogram called "Kilroy Was Here" or "French Leave" 1947 or 1948. During "ASIB" filming, Sid often went AWOL, usually to Santa Anita racetrack, blowing Judy's money. Judy was on the list of wonderful actresses who gravitated to conniving grifters.
