That little blue tray normally has a funnel built into the tray. :) yes I looks like a nightmare without it. Thank you for being so thorough!! I hate when people assume we are all pros 😂
This was fabulous. Thanks for sharing all the tips and technique. I have a tip about the tray. Wash with dish soap let air dry. That removed a plastic manufacturing film. Then before use lightly rub with dryer sheet. Can use for glitter, embossing powders, or beads. Mine I only use for beads . Back to your project. Iron on a mug blew my mind. Thanks for sharing.
awww thank you so much for this you are awesome :)
I done fell in love with the little iron! LOL. Thanks for the mug tutorial.
You are so welcome and I love it
Love that, awesome ideal , thank you. I have 2 plain cups and wondered what I could do, now I'm inspired to do it. Thank you so much for sharing . You can use an embossing tool on that funnel and it will keep the glitter from sticking, it works for me anyway. Hope you have a blessed evening ☺ 😊 😄
Thank you so much and your awesome thank you so much for the tip I didn't even think of that
You are very welcome
Thanks for the information.
I was so impressed with your video! Thank you for sharing!!!
awwww thank you so much this means so much
Teflon sheets on sale for 6.69 now in a lightning deal, loving your videos 😀🎉🎉
Yes such a score :)
I love the video, did you use vinyl or iron on ?? Did you did add something before the ironing or just straight to the vinyl???
Thanks for this great video and all the tips. I look forward to hear how this will hold up.
your so welcome thanks for watching so far its holding up strong :)
Have you put it thru the dishwasher at all?
I have NEVER done anything like this. I'd like to. However, I have 2 Q's for you. In your experience does an oven work and if so what temperature. Next, have you tried using a heat gun? Thanks.
Thanks for sharing I’ve been wanting to try this
You are so welcome good luck you got this
I really enjoyed the video, thanks for your help..
yay and your so welcome
Love this cup!
Thank you so much
Can you also use the printable iron ons??
Awesome tutorial
Thank you so much
What’s the advantage of using HTV versus the regular vinyl?
I would like to know if this Project can be used UV DF Transfer Wraps, or should Sublimation work better? Please let me know.😮
You could do this with the uv DTF transfers
This is fantastico! I had to subscribe to see what other great ideas you have.
Awesome! Thank you!
Thank you very much, Crystal
you are so welcome :)
Thank you very much that was very cool.
Rick Contreras your very welcome thank you
How does the iron on hold up after so long? I was looking at this and infusable ink and am wondering is this just as good as infuse...
It lasted a very long time but did start to peel overtime just like adhesive vinyl. Infusible ink will be the best for long term
Love your video. Show you the picture of the mug I added vinyl and that mug has been wash in the dishwasher. And the vinyl is not cricut vinyl. I also bought the waterproof mod podge a while back. Haven't had time to use. See you in the next video.
Thank you for sharing :) see you on the next one
If you rub a sheet of fabric softener it will get rid of the static so the glitter slides off easier.
Thank you for the tip :)
Cool idea!!🙋🏻😃💕 TFS
Thank you so much and your welcome
Hi, I just came across your video..love it! I do have a question do you still have to seal it and if so with what and how? Thank you so much.
hi crystal, I'm really sorry the trolls got you on your vid about transferring pictures to wood but I wanted to say this to show you not everyone is a troll and maybe help you with your transferring. If you use 4,5 or even 6 coats of white glue, any kind or brand works, let it dry, very dry. Lay it face down, wax-paper works best, wet the back and rub it.
When all this is done, add a fresh coat of glue, turn it over and put it on whatever you want. I have been doing this for many, many years usually adding pictures to Hotrods.
A big added benefit is that the pictures are not reversed and you can do them up ahead of time. Don't let the trolls get to you------- Bob
Thank you so much for the info :)
thank you for your time
Your so welcome thank you for watching :)
Thank you sooo much for this video... I have been curious about whether HTV was usable forever now and have had alot of people discourage using it, directing me towards the self adhesive vinyls instead... I do remember quite awhile though someone mentioning the idea of placing it in the oven for like 10 minutes on a specific temp before to cure and letting it cool in the oven before removing... Do you have any thoughts as to whether that would be helpful or harmful...? Thanks again, I am excited to try this... ;o)
I have not tried this but now I want to lol.. I will try to test this soon.. and your super welcome
What kind of paper did u use to print images on I’m wanting to do a business need all the tips can get I’m a graphic designer 👩💻
Thank you for sharing. I will be trying this. Would you please tell me f that is a table that came with the woodgrain look or is it something you added to your work surface. I love it and would love to have that look on all my work surfaces.
I am just learning to do the cup transfer with iron but most people use dishwashers now. So can i put modge podge all over the cups !I ordered Multifunction A4 Transfer Paper Dye Sublimation Heat Transfer Paper and not sure what point i put the modge podge on. and have you ever tried doing photos with this paper
Thank you for doing this video! I was just wondering what would be a good website to get already done vinyal designs for mugs
I would say Etsy
what is the difference between just reg vinyl and iron on vinyl for that cup?
They Both hold up the same so its more preference
Great video. Does it make it dishwasher safe when you use Mod Podge - dishwasher safe over the entire design?
yes and thank you so much
What is the name of the liquid for the glitter : mosh posh?
Do I have to cover the HTV in order to make it dishwasher safe? Is there an HTV that is already dishwasher safe?
You can use dishwasher safe mod podge here is the link amzn.to/2uYavcy
the expression vinyl, cricut easypress & cricut maker links don't work anymore
How long does HTV stick on the coffee cups if you hand wash them?
Will this come off in the dishwasher?
I haven't tested the dishwasher just my sink.. I need to test this at my sisters house
In my experience htv does mess up in the dishwasher. Hand-wash only
Would a heating gun work better ?
If you were doing this with your easy press what temperature and timer would you put it on?
I would do the same settings for wood 300 for 40 seconds
How well did this hold up in the wash?
Buddy Smith its holding up great 😊
What is the advantage of ironing on the design rather than just using 651 vinyl?
They are Both about the same basically this is one of those "is it possible and will it work videos" hope this helps
candice maro
What font did you use? So cute!
Thank you so much I uploaded this it was an image from google hope this helps
Hi was wondering if the Dish Washer mod podge had to be left for about 28 days as the instructions on the bottle??
I have never left it for more then a day or so and have never had issues hope this helps
Thanks for your video. Can I use the cricut Iron-on?
Your so welcome thanks for watching :) Yes you can hope this helps
Why do you put the white base down before the glitter piece?
to hold the glitter on :)
I wonder if it'll work with a curling iron
I bet it would I need to test this out
I don't see where you shared your Cricut file. I have downloaded and installed the fonts that you recommended, but they are not showing on my fonts in Design Space.
Are you using vinyl everyday iron on.
Hav e these cups been through the dish washer or hand wash? I’d like to try this with HTV
Hand wash but I made one for my sister in law and she puts hers through the dishwasher :)
Can I use a regular iron?
Where did you purchase your iron? I enjoyed the video
Hobby lobby and I used a 40% off coupon
Are you using HTV on this cup or regular vinyl?
HTV :)
What paper is your vinyl on when ironing?
Love the video! Would like to try making the cup...what font did you use and where did you get the pig. Thx
I got the pig from design space and the font was an image on google and I brought it in to design space.. here is the file let me know if it works not sure if it will since I brought the font image in design.cricut.com/?.com/design/66962506
CrystalAnn thank you for the quick response. I’m going to have fun with this.
Deborah Scott you are so welcome happy crafting
this one is marked private too!
Where can you find that little cute iron and the mod pudge dishwasher safe that you referred to?
Hobby lobby and I used a 40% off coupon :)
CrystalAnn The little cute iron also?
@@YouCanTotallyMakeThat I am just learning to do the cup transfer with iron but most people use dishwashers now. So can i put modge podge all over the cups
Is this dishwasher safe?
Where did you get the clear heat resistant tape? I don't see any on Amazon
its got a yellow tint to it here is the link Heat resistant tape
amzn.to/2oN65Ts
I got mine at hobby lobby
Why is this better than regular vinyl? Will it stay better?
I think it has a little longer staying power.. and its just another option gives you more colors to choose from so for someone that doesn't have any regular vinyl on hand they can know that this will work just the same.. hope this makes since
I have an infrared thermometer for the grill, just point it at the grill an I get the temp, would that help with the iron?
I have one of those to I haven't thought of that but thanks to you im trying it :)
Were can I get the Vinyl
Can you do this on Mason Jars too?
Yes :)
I did bridesmaids mason jars with glitter htv! Worked great! I used heat resistant tape to help hold on the carrier sheet.
awesome I bet they came out adorable
I have a clover iron. I’m going to try using it. It has three heat settings.
Im sure it will work great :) put it on the second setting and let it heat up an if not working well move to 3 :)
The secret to iron on in NOT to move around on the vinyl to get it to stick.. leave your heat source in place...don’t rub on it. Cute cup!
Thank you so much
Maybe next time, do your glitter first. Let it cure. Then apply your vinyl...I used my regular sized iron to apply glitter HTV the other day to a cup. I used parchment paper over it...it’s not easy to do round shaped with a flat object! You did a great job...love your polka dot pig.
Thank you I recently got a new mini iron you may have seen it in my recent shoe video and I love it and think its going to be perfect for this its just so small and so much easier to maneuver :)
Why would you not just use 651 vinyl?
Cindy Gallamore 651 is thicker...you can feel the edges more on a cup. HTV is much thinner....I’ve used both and I like the “feel” of the HTV much better.
Is not a problem if a used in the microwave .
Why use iron on and not vinyl?
you can use both but I have discovered the iron on last longer as its more like gluing it down :) hope this helps
Could you use a heat gun instead of an iron?
hmmm thats a good question I need to test that what a great idea
I was wondering the very same thing!!!
Crystal Ann, will you please let us know? Thanks in advance. ❤️
What's the name of the little iron you are using?
Dritz mini iron. hope this helps
Does anyone have this problem like myself; heat transfer vinyl comes off the wine glass?? am I not applying enough time or is this normal? (for the HTV to be able to come off?)
I haven't tested a wine glass but I will test this out and see whats going on
Thank you for your reply!! Maybe its my anxiety that kicks in and I dont let it dry for a long time?? (due to the fact I "start testing it" lol)
can you share the image? did you do this on cricut? you can share the file?
here is the file let me now if it works design.cricut.com/#/design/66962506
I tried to get your image, but it is marked as private :(
Why do you use HTV instead of regular Oracle vinyl?
I did this as one of those can it be done :) things so others wouldn't have to waist time trying if it didn't lol
You mention this was regular vinyl, how ever is it iron on vinyl or sticker vinyl. I know you cant iron sticker vinyl it will melt. Is it iron on vinyl.
this is intact iron on I have a bad habit of just saying vinyl I have been working on that :)
why use heat vinyl
lucy guerra it’s one of those can it be done things. Will it work hope that makes since
You are missing the bottom piece, which is like a funnel !
Please slow down, you are tralking a mile a minute and it’s hard to understand you
Trust me I have tried since I was 2yrs old :) where I'm from talk fast or don't be heard! I have since moved 10 yrs ago
@@YouCanTotallyMakeThat I appreciate your fast talk. I am still learning little tricks every day & I think your ideas are very helpful!
I understand fast talk so much better than videos where people just drag along!
You're very creative. Xoxo
Could you just slow down a bit please. You are talking at a million miles a minute and flashing products and moving them around so much, I can't watch your video, it's too busy for me. Sorry.
