Extensive list of changes, I need some time to gather my thoughts after I play it. My early thoughts are there are some inconsistencies on what they brought back vs what they kept modern. Example is Rein charge steering, idk why they reversed it they shoulda kept that.
Same with Ana and the 70-75 Damage. 75 Damage is too strong, 70 Damage is too weak. They need to just make it 72.5 or something and call it. Same with Soldier, go for 19.5.
@@nebulous9280 that wouldn't do anything, the reason they change it so often is cause it determines how many shots to kill a target, Ana at 75 can 3 shot a 225 hero, where as at 70 its a 4 shot. increasing it by 2.5 doesn't change anything since it will still be a 4 shot to kill. soldiers in a lot less important since he fires more shots per second then ana but same rule applies, 19.5 wouldn't make the difference needed.

Yeah and it's funny that Echo now can copy a full hp tank and does more dmg vs all with Beam. Cass who is already very good vs tanks and Soldier both get dps upgrades. Meanwhile Genji whose job is even harder now, gets no changes. Lmao
God i hate going back and forth with hog in settings with this classic and 6v6 mode and normal, its such a mess to change his control buttons between versions

Fr there was literally no reason to revert the trap it added a lot of depth to his kit beyond just cheesy one shots
Honestly, after playing Hog since 2017, I would prefer if they just go back to his original kit like in 6v6. His secondary fire just feels so good to use. I'd rather keep that instead of the trap's kill pressure. You have 5 other players to follow-up on the hooks so it's not even necessary.
yeah...when ow1 improved the lootboxes that lost the money. year 1 when the lootboxes were at their worst they made so much bank every publisher wanted to be them. then fortnite came along and figured you could create a battlepass, make people play the game to complete the battlepass and while they're doing that perhaps they'll consider buying something in the MTX store. now everyone does that to varying success. but yeah ow2 was made to make money again with a more efficient strategy.
@@onur6020 That's kinda the point of a bundle, to bulk buy all the skins at a discounted price than if you bought them separately. I think it's more fair to go after individual skin price than bundle price. People just go after bundles for shock value.

I was hoping that Rein would keep the double Firestrike and they’d just lower the damage on it. It feel really good to be able to have a little flexibility on his only ranged option

@@vexthepichu226 unfortunately, symmetra is one of the heros they kinda can't buff. just because of the nature of her kit, she is a map dependent hero. while buffing her so that her performance averages out seems like a good idea, the end result is that she ends up viable on every map and broken on some, which is what happened a few seasons ago. it sucks, but unless they rework symmetra sometime, it's unlikely she'll be buffed.
I am very convinced Blizzard just throws random numbers for balance... hopefully they tune the balance rather than thinking 6v6 is a failure when people only play a few games

@@8UMadBro8 I come from OW1, but I play tank. It only feels miserable if your positioning is bad or if your other tank doesn't know what tank synergy is. When 2 tanks know what they're doing it feels oppressive towards the other roles. I've mainly been playing with my duo with rein Zarya and Winston dva and we are having a lot of fun and dominating Tanks needed to be nerfed for 6v6 since they were gigabuffed for 5v5.
Thinking 6v6 will be a failure because of the actual balance instead of accepting 5v5 is more fun for 90% of the playerbase is an interesting coping mechanism
No idea why so many of the tank reworks got reverted. Hog trap, rein steering, zarya double bubble, and ball shield sharing don't seem like things that couldn't have just had number changes. Hell, atp just revert ALL the reworks. Not like the point of this was to see how modern ow2 could work with 6v6.
There is no way you people cant comprehend how busted these abilities would be in 6v6. Granting extra health, guaranteeing a kill with the hog trap, and nearly 5 seconds of invulnerability for zarya is wayy too strong in 6v6. Rein steering should’ve been kept though
@@snewp_e2139 if you paid attention... Hog got his one shot back.. I'm a hog main, and I'm not too happy about it, because we had to lose the trap for it. The trap made for a lot of cool plays, that people just don't think about. I use trap to cut off enemies, I guide supports into ones I have left to get an easy secure. Use the trap to make sure my team isn't getting flanked. The trap was a great ability; and most good hogs don't use it just to get the one shot.
they nerfed queen in season 13 ending you all screamed tiktok comments were like "i just learnt jq and they gutted her" and 2 weeks after queen is fine and the same you people have a Severe problem of overreacting before knowing anything
Which is hilarious considering the fan base want Reinhardt to be perma meta when he’s an easy knuckedragger hero and queen actually requires skill and execution to use Queen, Sigma and Winston would be be the premier tanks in a perfect world
And here's the part where everyone realizes a lot of the changes Tanks had in OW2 that made them so much more fun to play with were just so they were functional as solo Tanks and now that they need to function as a duo your individual value as a Tank is gonna be way less.

i'm concerned about bap in this mode. he's gonna be able to do a LOT of healing, which means more amp matrices, which probably means double shield might make a return for a bit

Doomfist sounds miserable. The dmg and self sustain should have been nerfed, not his ability to move around which is what makes him doomfist. Also we Orisa nerfs for 6v6, its peak! 😂
The HPs are so messed up in this video, you compared JQs open queue HP to her new 6v6 HP and implied it was a buff, when its really an HP nerf. Same with many of the other characters. (To be fair, its the way the patch notes are written, but still)
Why remove some tank changes but keep hp pool changes and dps/support changes when they are trying to see if 6v6 fit the current Ow2? Thats seems dumb.

Honestly, it makes sense why a good number of dps weren't changed, as now most tanks either have fewer defenses or less hp, making it so tanks are more on the back foot and playing more defensively than aggressively.
I’m probably on an island on this one, but I actually find this mode boring. It doesn’t really feel that much different than 5v5. Now i’m just shooting at two tanks instead of 1 with an extra set of annoying cooldowns to deal with. Why didn’t they reimplement a lot of the powers that made the heroes feel impactful?

Some of the HP “buffs” are misleading. In this video for example, he has JQ goes from 375 HP to 425, but thats her open queue HP, not her role queue. So its actually an HP NERF not buff.
Because his rework fits in 5v5 more than 6v6 that's why.

I personally was waiting for Orissa's bongo to be back and also her right click. It was so fun to play! At least for nostalgia they could've brought it back.
My issue is the majority who don’t want ow to die are the players who spent ridiculous amounts of money then double downed and threw blizzard MORE MONEY even they they gave zero fucks about there player base I had a game like this but it had competition drop and they stayed with the pay for hero’s and pricy skins on only characters they thought would sell and buff those characters out of proportion just to sell you a skin marvel can follow suit
Wouldn't it have been better to use RQ tank health to compare to? e.g. Doomfist has 525 health in 5v5 RQ, but 425 in 6v6. Also the recent hotfix doesn't affect 6v6, so Sojourn isn't nerfed in this mode. (And imo is pretty good)
i imagine for two reasons: 1. the rework was horrible, everyone agrees on that 2. the rework was designed to make him work better in 5v5, and his old kit is just better for 6v6
i thought i'd enjoy this much more than i did when it came to other roles, but on supp and tank it was mildly better. not bad at all, though, especially since this is literally the first 6v6 patch. what i did notice straight away is that tank felt leagues better to play out the gate. i think i'm sold on 6v6 lol
I'm glad for the test, but I feel most of the tanks are gonna feel clunky. Like it seems they learned a lot about the game in the last few seasons and that just kind of out the window.
I’m not gonna lie, when I heard about 6v6 coming I was excited, but I wanted to play Overwatch 2 6v6 with all the changes they made to some of the heroes (ex: Rein charge steer) not Overwatch 1 6v6. This doesn’t feel very different from Overwatch 1 and I feel like with the massive QoL changes they’ve made to some heroes being reverted in this patch for this mode makes the game feel older, not new and fresh like how the team strives to make their game.
I don't like that they removed cool reworks and the tank passives, to me that was a large motivation of wanting to try out 6v6. I don't want to go back to the old overwatch, I want to see how 6v6 would play out with the new stuff. As a Zarya main it's gonna hurt not having the shared bubble cooldown anymore
Nah, in a solo environment it seems like it'll suck but Zarya was always best with Tanks that want to play aggro and can easily charge her bubble. Now we have the option for Ram Zarya.
zaryas one of the only tanks that i think shouldve had the changes reverted since she could really be hard busted with the option to bubble the other tank twice in a row
They could have done a thourough job balancing the dps and supports as well, but instead they decided to half ass it, just like everything else blizzard has touched in the last 10 years.
No, they redistributed the hp from one less tank into the other tank on day 1 of OW2. Season 9 changes were mostly to make it harder to both die from full hp and heal back to full hp, allowing squishies to take more agency with proactive plays instead of being scared to be bursted to death.
QoL? They didn't do anything QoL for Hog at all. It was just to make him fit in 5v5 better and even then it didn't do that at all. It is just a dogshit rework and that's me saying this as a Hog otp.
This is not 6v6 in OW2, this is "what if ow1 had these new heroes?" and that's it. This is not proving any point they wanted to, it's impossibile to judge if 6v6 is useful or not by these. What do they think are doing by giving Rein 2000 shield and keeping Doomfist's CDs untouched... he stuns more than when he was a dps...
Im gonna be honest while its fun playing off tank again and flanning with ball, some tanks need some love real bad. My friend was playing jq was getting melted so bad she had to swap to start having fun, and it sucks to because jq is her main aswell. Iive playing hog but the hog we have now feels so boring and stale, placing pig pens doen in strategical areas and punishing over extension made me happy on hog, I understand take a breather needed its nerf but get ing rid of pig pen? Seriously? Not to mention geting rid of a firestrike and the 50% steering nerf on rein were so unnecessary. The ball sharing shields to allie might be warranted but it brought me joy when i could peel for one of my teammates by diving in and sharing shields with them. I know that last one might be biased on my part but i still miss it. I really feel like they think when we ask for 6v6 they think we mean shitty ow1 tank stats but ow2 made so many tanks evolve fun and unique tools and gameplans that ,while yes needed significant tuning, could have been easily implemented into a 6v6 format I understand that with 2 tanks, their responsibilitys/tools need to be equally distributed amongst 2 players, but i feel as if it could've been executed in a more cohesive form consistent to their 5v5 counterparts illbeit tuned for 6v6.
Actual biggest cope. Old doom was a poorly designed and toxic hero who belonged to the entirely wrong role and farmed cheesy one shots that actively punished you for positioning well
I find it funny that blizzard is too scared to do a genji buff even thou he currently is terrible with a 110 dmg blade swing down from 120 and a 50 dmg dash down from a 75 18 dmg primary fire as well is goofy

Tracer back at 12 meter fall off is massive. It was bugged for the longest at that range before the devs noticed and was a lot safer to play

This just goes for supps that are able to deal splash/aoe healing, not limited to bap
Double shield was possible because of orisa and sigma. They are mobile shields that can attack at the same time. Ram has a high cd on his shield

I’m probably on an island on this one, but I actually find this mode boring. It doesn’t really feel that much different than 5v5. Now i’m just shooting at two tanks instead of 1 with an extra set of annoying cooldowns to deal with. Why didn’t they reimplement a lot of the powers that made the heroes feel impactful?
so, essentially just a bunch of tank nerfs (some hp buffs), a couple of dps buffs, and a couple of support buffs. i love being a tank main :')
I mean you gotta realize that most games only had 1 tank and now with two tanks you’re gonna have to nerf them or else tanks are just gonna dominate every round because currently they feel like overglorified dps with huge health pools in 5v5
Some of the HP “buffs” are misleading. In this video for example, he has JQ goes from 375 HP to 425, but thats her open queue HP, not her role queue. So its actually an HP NERF not buff.

Don't get removing pig pen, it's not Overwatch classic.
Because his rework fits in 5v5 more than 6v6 that's why.
@@BeastMode-bw2ryit doesn’t tho. Hog could have a dualistic playstyle of being a moba support who peels for his team with pen and hog while being able to also take flanks still
This just removed options from his kit to make him a cheesy oneshot flanker again
I personally was waiting for Orissa's bongo to be back and also her right click. It was so fun to play! At least for nostalgia they could've brought it back.

some of these should NOT have been changed. it shouldnt have been decided to change roadhog so massively and nerf rein charge such a weird amount
My issue is the majority who don’t want ow to die are the players who spent ridiculous amounts of money then double downed and threw blizzard MORE MONEY even they they gave zero fucks about there player base I had a game like this but it had competition drop and they stayed with the pay for hero’s and pricy skins on only characters they thought would sell and buff those characters out of proportion just to sell you a skin marvel can follow suit

Wouldn't it have been better to use RQ tank health to compare to? e.g. Doomfist has 525 health in 5v5 RQ, but 425 in 6v6.
Also the recent hotfix doesn't affect 6v6, so Sojourn isn't nerfed in this mode. (And imo is pretty good)
Why would them reverse Roadhog rework?
i imagine for two reasons:
1. the rework was horrible, everyone agrees on that
2. the rework was designed to make him work better in 5v5, and his old kit is just better for 6v6
Because old hog was way better and had a way higher skill ceiling, was more fun, and wasn't as bad to play against unlike new hog.

You mentioned about less sleep duration on tanks, but what about nade? Is nade also back to normal or its steel reduced duration?
That’s not a thing it’s only sleep that has reduction
i thought i'd enjoy this much more than i did when it came to other roles, but on supp and tank it was mildly better. not bad at all, though, especially since this is literally the first 6v6 patch. what i did notice straight away is that tank felt leagues better to play out the gate. i think i'm sold on 6v6 lol

I'm glad for the test, but I feel most of the tanks are gonna feel clunky. Like it seems they learned a lot about the game in the last few seasons and that just kind of out the window.

Aint played OW in ages. Been waiting for this 6V6 trial. Time to re-download the game, before uninstalling it after the trial unless 6V6 replaces 5V5.
Genji should've deserve a small buff honestly, give back his old shuriken damage. Mans doin the same damage as bap

I’m not gonna lie, when I heard about 6v6 coming I was excited, but I wanted to play Overwatch 2 6v6 with all the changes they made to some of the heroes (ex: Rein charge steer) not Overwatch 1 6v6. This doesn’t feel very different from Overwatch 1 and I feel like with the massive QoL changes they’ve made to some heroes being reverted in this patch for this mode makes the game feel older, not new and fresh like how the team strives to make their game.
People being so confused about Tanks getting nerfed, like what? Tanks in 5v5 are raid bosses, you can't have 2 of them in 6v6.

I don't like that they removed cool reworks and the tank passives, to me that was a large motivation of wanting to try out 6v6. I don't want to go back to the old overwatch, I want to see how 6v6 would play out with the new stuff. As a Zarya main it's gonna hurt not having the shared bubble cooldown anymore
Nah, in a solo environment it seems like it'll suck but Zarya was always best with Tanks that want to play aggro and can easily charge her bubble. Now we have the option for Ram Zarya.
zaryas one of the only tanks that i think shouldve had the changes reverted since she could really be hard busted with the option to bubble the other tank twice in a row

point of season 9 health pool changes to redistribute the hp from one less tank into the rest of the team?
Not really, they said it was a way to combat the sustain/damage creep. But that became null when they buffed sustain to compensate regardless.

They could have done a thourough job balancing the dps and supports as well, but instead they decided to half ass it, just like everything else blizzard has touched in the last 10 years.

No, they redistributed the hp from one less tank into the other tank on day 1 of OW2. Season 9 changes were mostly to make it harder to both die from full hp and heal back to full hp, allowing squishies to take more agency with proactive plays instead of being scared to be bursted to death.
As a hog main, you better watch yo back, cuz im flanking again.

QoL? They didn't do anything QoL for Hog at all. It was just to make him fit in 5v5 better and even then it didn't do that at all. It is just a dogshit rework and that's me saying this as a Hog otp.
This is not 6v6 in OW2, this is "what if ow1 had these new heroes?" and that's it. This is not proving any point they wanted to, it's impossibile to judge if 6v6 is useful or not by these. What do they think are doing by giving Rein 2000 shield and keeping Doomfist's CDs untouched... he stuns more than when he was a dps...
Just make Doom a DPS again please.

Im gonna be honest while its fun playing off tank again and flanning with ball, some tanks need some love real bad. My friend was playing jq was getting melted so bad she had to swap to start having fun, and it sucks to because jq is her main aswell. Iive playing hog but the hog we have now feels so boring and stale, placing pig pens doen in strategical areas and punishing over extension made me happy on hog, I understand take a breather needed its nerf but get ing rid of pig pen? Seriously? Not to mention geting rid of a firestrike and the 50% steering nerf on rein were so unnecessary. The ball sharing shields to allie might be warranted but it brought me joy when i could peel for one of my teammates by diving in and sharing shields with them. I know that last one might be biased on my part but i still miss it. I really feel like they think when we ask for 6v6 they think we mean shitty ow1 tank stats but ow2 made so many tanks evolve fun and unique tools and gameplans that ,while yes needed significant tuning, could have been easily implemented into a 6v6 format I understand that with 2 tanks, their responsibilitys/tools need to be equally distributed amongst 2 players, but i feel as if it could've been executed in a more cohesive form consistent to their 5v5 counterparts illbeit tuned for 6v6.

Actual biggest cope. Old doom was a poorly designed and toxic hero who belonged to the entirely wrong role and farmed cheesy one shots that actively punished you for positioning well

I find it funny that blizzard is too scared to do a genji buff even thou he currently is terrible with a 110 dmg blade swing down from 120 and a 50 dmg dash down from a 75
