Have you not noticed the connection with up to six jets going overhead ? Seeding the clouds ... then from a sunny day the clouds form , it rains and then we go back to the sunshine. After one year of watching this where I live in Canada I see a pattern. It looks to me that it is weather manipulation with whatever is dumped from the jet streams. I would be interested if anyone else has observed this
Daniel couldn't you troll around your pond with a fish finder to kind of give you a idea how many of your fish you still may have?.
Daniel, this is actually about a past video of yours that I just saw...You said you would like to explore the hand dug well where you put the alpacas....PLEASE be extremely careful if you go down in the pit... Several years ago, we lost a fellow teacher, her husband, and his grandfather when they went into a well. There was a deadly gas that took each of them as they got down into the pump area of the well...JUST BE CAREFUL and take precautions.. I felt compelled by the Lord to tell you this. I never want to hear of a tragedy like this again...❤️🙏✝️
Tember
You’re the uncle that I would allow my kids to go with wherever. Because you’re teaching them good morals as well as work habits, and how to do things.
I thought for a minute because I only saw part of the guy with the chain saw that that the beavers overwhelmed you & were cutting down ALL of your trees with YOUR chain saw.
I must agree completely about how they raise their children and the kids friends as well!! I would let him play Uncle Dan with my grandkids!
Hiring locals in your community is a wonderful way to help others financially especially during a time with job losses.
Points to you, Daniel, for being willing to be cautious about the tree felling. It only takes one slip to ruin your life, and I admire you for stepping back.
I know of two families who lost loved ones in tree felling accidents. Better safe than sorry.
Dead trees are even more dangerous. One branch breaking off and you are in trouble underneath while still cutting.
❤ Nothing wrong with working smarter not harder. I think that includes knowing when to choose more experienced help with appropriate tools😊
Awesome that you listened to that little feeling that said, “Maybe you should call someone who has more experience with trees this big.”
Your friend brought that big old tree down perfectly!!! Thank goodness when a man listens to that little (God) voice saying "Nope!" 💙🙏 Janice
Theres an old saying . An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.
I know of two separate times when someone was killed from cutting down trees. You made the right decision!!!
Decades ago I lived in Wheeling WV. We had a terrible Spring storm that quickly melted snow upstream from Wheeling Creek. It got 25 feet above normal plus the Ohio River backed up and our neighborhood was hit hard. From debris hitting trees there were were many damaged trees. A doctor friend decided to trim his tree. A different branch fell on him and killed him. He was 31 and had children and his wife was pregnant. He thought he had plenty of time to buy life insurance. He was wrong and his family suffered for it.
Daniel, it has nothing to do with a lack of courage, you have plenty of that. It's acknowledging your comfort level and being smart enough to have the job done by someone with more experience.
By doing that Daniel is using the gift of discernment.
Thank goodness you are smart enough to know your limits.
That wasn't a creek no more it was a river, the power of rapid moving water is so powerful.
5 mph water is like a 200 mph wind.
If the trunk of that oak tree is in fairly good condition, it may be worth selling to someone who could make furniture or something else out of it. Ya know, oak is a good wood for craftsmen to make stuff out of. :)
Awesome video Daniel. I can't believe that the water got that high. I'm glad you all got missed by the tornado.
I am so sorry Daniel for all the mess and chaos that’s going on with your fences and everything. So much damage. One day at a time. You and DJ and Huston , and Emely , all stay safe.
Tree cutting can be deadly. My husband road in an ambulamce to the hospital with a friend after he cut a tree that came back & hit him in the abdomen. He did not live long! You are wise to have more experienced help!
Smart man Daniel for hiring that professional
Smart man Daniel. Knowing your limitations.
Daniel I wouldn’t say he had more courage than you just more experience at that type of job. I don’t know many people that would be a trooper. That job takes lots of courage.
Hang in there Daniel. Pace yourself as well. I know repairs need to be made is a lot of work. Keep hydrated in the heat. Sure gonna be some time cleaning up after all that storm damage. Golly gee. Still sending prayers for y'all ❤🙏🙏 God bless .
Daniel, your friend Longhorn Lester has been dealing with storms after storms for the past few weeks. His spillway has a is ready to collapse. Lester and Jamie had to move their horses to the JL ranch their third property. Because at Longhorn Lester, the property isn't safe for the horse.
Please keep all the ppl and animals on your prayer list.God Bless you and Yours.
GOD BLESS YOU AND YOURS!❤❤❤
Your content is refreshingly authentic, keeps me coming back for more!
It angel wings
I realized during this video how long I have been watching your channel. When you were scooping up that blue barrel I recognized it as one that you used to try growing hydroponic cucumbers in your greenhouse years ago! And also it is very gratifying watching Houston reeling in, landing, unhooking and weighing a fish completely by himself and offering valid commentary about it. He has matured so much the last couple years. You and DJ should be very proud
I just love watching a good arborist fall an old tree. They can almost always get it to land close to spot on where they want it. So cool 😎
Just watched a Longhorn Lester short where he was collecting a couple of duck eggs or goose, for you and his scream like a girl at the end of it when that mama bird came at him made me chuckle today lol
I watched that also lol, the goose eggs are for his brother in law, Dusty.
Great to see father son down time
Never a dull moment on a farm/ranch
Im glad you know your limits and are safe.
at 6:37 I counted the tree rings (roughly) the tree was 80-90 years old when it died and its been dead for a while.
The right tools and knowledge makes taking down the big dead tree look so easy. Good call on having a another person taking it down. The new fence and spill way will make it look so much nicer❤❤❤❤
Good luck with cleanup and fence repair! Thank you for sharing Houston's Baptism! Thoroughly enjoyed it! Blessings to you and your family! 🙏
Boy I could watch Houston catch fish all-day
Love your videos and enjoy watching them. May the lord bless and protect you and your family and the animals and working on the homestead and storm cleanup
So glad you're gonna use help, so smart! That tree could be a widow maker! Getting the fences cleaned out & back up os enormous. You guys have been thru a lot, you're helping youself & your fam! 💜🙏💜
Hello Daniel, Glad you got some help taking down the old oak tree and starting to get things cleaned up after the storm. You could put the timbers back over the spillway temporarily if you have enough of them, till you can get time to fix it more permanently.
Always enjoy the fishing clips.
You and Lester have the problem of the spillway! So scarey of everything that has happened.
Look like a pro on the skid steer especially after helping the clean up
Maybe not more courage but more skill level with that particular task. 😊
Daniel I love seeing you and Houston
On the pond. Lovecallyour animals and y'all as well. God bless prayers for all of Sulphur. ❤🙏❤🙏❤🙏❤
One day in church the minister stated be careful how you pray and what you asked for so your oak tree I'm chuckling with you. Well you got the answer the solution even though it's not what you needed or asked for..... This has been a common practice or issue in my life for the unplanned interruptions.
We just had the same here in South LA.
Tornado and flash flooding.
Everything becomes very buoyant during a flash flood.
Gosh you have a lot to do. You just know how to do your plan so your animals will all be safe!😊
What's really good about you is that, your having fun with your Man Toys and relaxing with not to much stress .....
That spot looks more like a butterfly 🦋 than a heart ❤️
…or a moth.
great video and happy you got help with the tree.
Secessful programs don't train the dog. They train the owner.
Is your real name Cesar?
Just want to tell you, I ordered a new Helix bed; adjustable frame, and mattress. They asked how I heard of them. I answered “Arms Family Farm.” Then afterwards I realized it’s Homestead, not Farm. So be sure you get paid. I’ve received one box. Don’t know when the rest will come. I hope it’s as comfy as you said in your infomercial. I enjoy your channel.
Thanks for the update. Thanks for the smiles.
I do pretty well falling a tree, I think i would have contracted it out too.
Evening all!!❤❤❤
Huston has such fun fishing...love to watch him...Your a special young man Huston!!
I don’t know if it means anything but I said timber here on my end. We have a lot of huge oaks like that on our property and my daughter bought it three years ago. It was five that had been probably dead for 10 years. We have three houses on 120 acres and not one of those houses has a fireplace.
Nice drop of tree. TIMBER
Glad to see you recognize your ability not to try cutting it down. Always play it safe.
18:59 Watching y'all fish bring back beautiful memories for me. In 91' we moved to Red Bluff, Ca., for my dad's job. They rented us a house on a 100 acre Sturgeon fish farm. They had 6 ponds about the size of 2 football fields, and let us fish on them, but our favorite thing to do was gigging for frogs at night in the summer time. When my Papaw came to visit from Phoenix, he was in frog leg heaven!! It was also cool when they harvested the eggs for caviar. They'd throw them in a tank to sedate them, cut they eggs out, stitch back up, put them in a recovery tank, input all their data and put them back into their habitat. They always reminded me of a prehistoric fish because they were around 8-10 ft long, but very docile because they were hand raised, and would swim up for rubs!!!
Call the people that put in the bridge across your creek see if they could build you a bridge out of something better than railroad ties
Fish are mostly cold blooded animals. They can survive far longer in air than we can underwater. By the way, humans are warm blooded animals. Houston can weigh any fish as long as needed without any worry of killing any fish.
You always make me smile 😊
I told my wife how awesome it would be to run into yall in Pensacola Florida we are here from arkansas and yall were literally the first people i seen walking into crabs, me and my 5 yo love watching the channel every episode he wants to go do anything houston does, fishing hunting, everything.. wish i could of got a picture of my boy with him, maybe next time tho yall have a great time!
I lost my grandfather to a tree, after 40 yrs on the job. Goes to show that you just never know. So glad you followed your gut on this one!
You're insurance companies give out your information also. Your Drs. Office will give out your information to
The wisest people know their limits! With the possibility that the tree could have been rotten in the middle, bringing in a professional to take care of the 'large' tasks, is the wisest move.
Had to laugh: I have never seen someone fishing in cowboy boots before. LOL!
You (and Dusty) were lucky to have access to the "Woods" Over-Seeder! That one's almost exactly the same as the one I used when working in Sports Fields for the City of Ottawa, Canada. We looked after over 100 fields in our area alone. There are 4 or 5 'zones' for sports fields in Ottawa.
Hello from st cloud Minnesota have a great day
Good Evening everyone hope all is well with all 😅
Take care, stay safe and God Bless you all!!!❤😊
I thought that spot looked more like a butterfly shape but regardless what a beautiful baby and mom goat. And good call on calling someone else to take the tree down. Better to be safe then sorry for sure.
Hi Daniel; hope your family is well and all are recovering from that horrible storm..I hope Jacoby and his family are well.
On your fencing someone had told Longhorn Lester about you can burn the leaves off of your fence but he had wood on his fence so he could not do that you can try to use a blowtorch on your fence to burn the debris off of them
Little by little you will get it done. Great video as always. Thx for sharing.
Pond looks good 😊 I setup a native fish mini pond with crappie
We put small to Large rocks on the spillway to prevent fish from going down the spillway. We have found baby bluegill and bass in the runoff creek below the dam after a heavy rain
Great video. I just love the bond between you & Houston. Keep up the amazing work. ❤️
Glad you asked for help with that tree. Stuff can happen, better safe than sorry.
Good afternoon my name Joe Williams Taylor that's my real name i like your videos keep up the good work make more new fun videos 😍❤❤️🥰🥰❤️🥰🥰
My dad works at a golf course I got a good idea for cutting down trees so you can get your tractor to push it the way you want it to fall
Get you a seeder from another company that way you get to try them out
Daniel whenever I feel like something is out of my “comfort zone”, I ask for help. Trying to do it yourself can cause injury to yourself or your property. Better to not take chances 🥰💕
We had a tree like that -that was Hulatious, it died after a drought, left it until the following year then harvested it for firewood. It took a weekend of cutting, clearing, splitting and stacking but it kept us warm for a month
Daniel you should have keep the seeder, you would have used it for many years down the road.
Hi Dan. I’m watching this from a hospital bed while fighting a wound infection. Glad to see you’re making progress buddy. Awesome video as always
Hi Daniel, i like your animals a lot. Good job with the cleanups
I did! Say timber that is, lol just quietly mind you.
Wow, those were pretty good sized bass! 👌
Daniel, I know you're feeling somewhat discouraged with all the cleanup needing to be done, but take heart -- you're blessed to have the equipment to make the job much easier. So many folks across the country are dealing with the same from devastating tornadoes & flooding. Prayers lifted for you and all who have lost everything. 😔 🙏
TFS
Much love ~ Jo in Michigan ❤️
Daniel, you definitely made the right decision when you had someone with experience cut down that huge tree. You are making progress with the cleanup from the storms. Take care of yourself. I really enjoyed watching Houston fish while you were giving him guidance. He is very good at fishing. Blessings to you and your family. ❤
Love listening to Houston catching a big fish. It is a sound of pure pleasure!!!
Daniel - Thank you for posting all your videos of your Farm & your Family! I love the closeness of your family & all the updates! Your Merch store is Amazing & well done! God Bless 🙏 Stay Safe & Well…sorry about the Tornadoes in your area. Glad it skirted your property. Awesome to see all your neighbors helping one another!🏡🐾☕️🇺🇸😘
Clean up is so hard, but who knows what ideas you will come up with. You guys are in our prayers.
I think the turtle moves faster than Charlie!, Glad you have all the equipment to help clean up your property. Sending prayers to all that was affected by the tornadoes.
I’m glad you were able to hire a local company to do your fencing. Sulfur needs all the help it can get including jobs. Thank you. God’s blessings
I’m so glad you can hire locally when you need extra assistance. It takes a good man to realize it when doing something alone could be dangerous or even fatal. Every time I’ve gone against my intuition, I’ve considered myself lucky to have survived and learned from the experience.
I’ve said it before, but there isn’t a drainage system in existence that can handle that much rain in such a short time. I’ve seen drainage systems that turned into a fountain through the drainage intakes!
Daniel I am so glad that you called for help getting the tree down and I am glad that you’re a safety person and I just wanted to say again that I am so sorry for the damage that the tornado did to DJ’s moms store but I am glad that her mom wasn’t hurt and that she can build it back and I couldn’t believe that the flood water moved that huge piece of concrete and I am so glad that all you had was a fence downed and not your home God Bless you all and my love and prayers to you and your family
You should mill the larger pieces of that oak. Should bring some good money
#chill #best #hamster #pig #summer #cow #friend #taco thank you for the chance to win some amazing challenges. Congratulations on your subscription count! Good luck to everyone. Thank you for your time and inspiration.
My prayers have continued for you and your family and the town of Sulphur as well as for Plum Grove and Livingston Texas. You all just can't seem to catch a break. The power of water is amazing. Hang in there. The Son is in charge and the sun will shine again.
a good option if you have the space is to create a large retention area that will hold a foot or so of water, this will allow the water overflow to slow in speed and allow any fish caught in that fast-flowing water to move away. if your overflow is also created into a fish ladder, this allows any fish flushed out to return. this area could be filled with native water plants giving a shallow habitat for various animals.
Build a staggered catch fence or step type. For the spillway.
Glad see that you are getting some tree work done as we as the damaged fencing repaired. That’s allowed you to spend time with Houston. You are dealing with the storm damage very well.
Love Hustons curls! Good fishing!
Daniel, you can cut down a tree that's 36" in dia with a saw with a 16-18" bar. The bar only needs to go half way through the tree.
what you could do for the spillway is to put down chainlink fence and dump 3-4" rock over it and just let the water run over the rocks , and you will have a solid footing to drive across also, and avoid washing out the gravel base
