Informative, concise and beautiful. One more parking tip for locals is to find a job that allows for parking on ski days. I work 2 nights a week at a hotel that gives me a full seasons pass and ski in/ski out covered parking. Not a bad benny!
Excited about Mayflower, but your right about the slopes facing south- southeast. That's going to be a problem holding snow! The crowding at resorts is happening everywhere and the traffic issues too. I love skiing but the experience isn't nearly as good now days. No walk up lift tickets anymore too.
It’s a bummer because where else do you go? Even the backcountry is crowded and parking at the trail heads is full no one wants to bus up little and big cottonwood who is backcountry skiing.
@@NicoleBowdleParkCityRealEstate here in Washington I've given up on Crystal Mt. And Steven Pass ski areas. I now drive 2 1/2 hours to White Pass where it only cost $74 , crowds aren't as bad, and I can get in 15 runs. Sometimes you just have to drive a little further. Mt. Baker is snow boarder haven if you ever make it up here Nicole.

I hear powder mountain has where you can pay for cat rides to the top for $10 each time. Tons of untouched lines. Also have a side country where you can ski down and take a bus. My standard is east coast resorts in New England so what you call traffic we call everyday ski conditions. What you call ice we call a powder day here. I won’t even go to park city anymore too many wahoos at the mountain. Snowbird has nice and advanced terrain. This time out visited alta as well and was nice to hike and sidestep to terrain. Need to know where you are going for that. The ikon/epic are ruining the mountains it’s the same here. Lots of people not respecting the mountain and crazy crowds. Part of the experience now is to know the hacks to avoid the lines. Usually if you avoid the gandola and bubble lifts you weed out the waiting. We also get first chair and eat lunch at 11:30 to avoid the crowds and ski through lunch and call it a day at 230/3.
Pow Mow is amazing!!! 😍 They don’t make snow so they rely a lot on Mother Nature. It’s a pretty flat mountain aside from Paradise Chair, the shuttle laps, and the controlled cat skiing off lighting Ridge. But overall Super fun mountain and much less crowded due to it being more remote not having a lot of amenities and also capping day passes and season pass sales!. I think the single cat ride is $25 bucks now. I also think you can buy a season cat ride pass though. You definitely have to be strategic to avoid all the crowds now at those others resorts.
@@NicoleBowdleParkCityRealEstate and for Pow/Snowbasin you are best situated in Ogden, which is now a hopping town, expanded greatly since pre-Olympics.
@@Osnosis Love Pow Mow!! ⚡️Paradise chair and lighting ridge are my favs and Snowbasin reminds me of a mini Snowbird I am always up for a good looking Cirque🙌 !! Interesting that Snowbasin Jumped to the Ikon Pass I don’t think it will help crowd wise. I was stuck in an unbelievable amount of traffic on a pow day that happened on Wednesday it was mind blowing Definitely left to late that day. 🚗
@@conortong2243 thanks!! 😊 Utah’s liquor stores are closed on Sunday’s and you can’t get wine at the Grocery store but they will still serve alcohol to you at restaurants and bars on a Sunday.
Are you referring to Deer Valley? You could split board and skin up into the guardsman pass area. You skin up the road after you pass montage and one of the Deer Valley lifts pass over that road. All that is considered backcountry your not in the resort boundaries so you can split board up in that area.

❄️Insider Tip! Love it.
This is by far the most informative video about Utah skiing/snowboarding I've seen. Respect
Thanks Evan appreciate it! 👊🏻

Need a private air/heloport Jordanelle or Snyderville area.
Who "needs" this?
Are any of these resorts specifically dry (can't buy or have a beer on site)?
Nope lots of cocktail and beer options

Not allowed on the lift I thought. You can hike in with a board ?

If you're in traffic you are traffic. Ride the bus, they bypass most of the traffic. Not rocket science.
