The dialogue between Goku, Gohan and Cell is pure GOLD.
And yet we gloss over the fact that Gohan trained with the Kais and is basically stronger than a Super Saiyan without even going Super Saiyan. The whole “Unleashed Potential” thing seems to conveniently slip people’s minds.

Not saying he isn’t strong, but the version of Gohan in Fighterz for the story is basically a Gohan who just got back into training (it doesn’t seem to be before the Goku Black arc, but it’s post Return of F), he probably isn’t as strong as he was if Cell is saying he is significantly weaker.

@@Darkoriax17 Unleashed Potential or not, it doesn't matter if Gohan himself doesn't do anything to actually maintain his strength hence the whole dialogue between him, Goku, and Cell. The latter automatically noticed that Gohan slacked off and top of that lacks the same killer instinct he had as a Super Saiyan 2 hence him calling him out.
All valid points. I just don’t understand why people hate on Gohan.

I live how Cell said everything we were thinking about Gohan
"we" as in, those who never understood the character, and instead want him to be goku. the whole point of his character was that he understood he has to fight, but that doesnt mean he WANTS to fight, he isnt goku, he isnt vegeta, he is a guy who can fight, and will fight if necessary, but it ends there.
@@marcosdheleno No. I'm just saying he has gotten weaker. Doesn't mean he has to be as dumb as goku to be strong. Also if you hadn't notice it was actually the creators who said this. Not some spur of the moment dialog.
People are right though by saying Gohan doesn't have a natural proclivity to train like the pure-blood saiyans. Its why he's only trained and fought to protect his loved ones from world ending threats like Cell and Buu in DBZ.
People were complaining about the concept of Gohan replacing Goku
Gohan became weak because Japanese fans were salty that he was taking over Goku spot as main character. The backlash was so much that Toyriama was forced to bring Goku back and make him the strongest one again while everyone was weaker.
Goku calls out Vegeta’s evil ways and acts like Piccolo didn’t try to kill Goku at one point.

To be fair, Piccolo is _literally_ a different person now.
Honestly I love the mild amount of respect the Ginyu force gives Gotenks. Sure, they're saying his pose sucks, but Ginyu himself is being constructively critical, and the rest of the members are throwing in their two cents. I think it's rather nice.

The Ginyu force is probably the best dbz villain team
It makes a lot of sense, imagine being a group of freaks that does fighting poses before fighting and finding a kid that's trying to do the same thing, it's logical for them to help him out with the pose considering they probably haven't ever found anyone else that likes battle poses!
My favorite part is that Gohan and the Ginyu Force kinda like each other because of their mutual love for poses, and after Gohan explains to Krillin why they pose Ginyu says “I recognize you as a true warrior”
It's seems like they're not that bad when they're not actively ordered to kill people. There was another game where they took the protagonist under their wing to learn fusion and Ginyu was even considering making a Junior Ginyu force until Frieza said he wanted the hero dead.
Vegeta: You see, Freeza, you're not dealing with the average saiyan warrior anymore.
Freeza: No, you fu*king don't!

Yeah, he's the character with "stupid levels of latent potential". Toriyama keeps him on the back burner for whenever Goku and Vegeta can't do the fighting. A shame, really.

Man the ginyu force was always such a fun group it’s almost impossible to think of them as villain especially when you look at how much they care for each other
I’ve always felt that Captain Ginyu, under the right motivation, could be on the hero’s side. He clearly has empathy -unlike many other villains- and a code of honor. Lastly, since he’s a trustworthy team leader who offers great leniency, it’s not too far fetched to see him cooperate with the Z Fighters (again, given the right circumstances). Were he not beholden, admiring, and terrified of Frieza, who knows what it would take for him to turn around?
They're basically a stereotypical hero team, but a villain team instead

Well Gohan took it really personal.
Hearing Cell doesn't sound right anymore after DBZA. They really did a phenomenal job of VA all the characters.
I heard (in the comments section of one of the DBZA episodes, so take with a grain of salt) that Cell's actual voice actor actually used the TFS version to try to make him sound a bit more intimidating.
Fr Cell sounded more like Cell in DBZA than Cell sounded like Cell in DBZ 💀

Cell tells Tien that he can mimic his techniques just by observing them. Meanwhile, Tien is introduced with that same ability back in DragonBall lmao
Chiaotzu has that ability too. In fact, he blew himself up against Nappa using the self-destruction technique that the saibaman had used against Yamcha earlier, which he copied from that event.

Vegeta basically says that in another scene. Nappa says something about Tien not being worth his time and then Vegeta tells Nappa he shouldn’t talk when he can’t even judge an opponent’s true power. Tien’s like, “I never thought I’d hear that from you,” and Vegeta goes, “It wasn’t a compliment, just a fact.”

The great thing about this game is seeing characters interact with each other who never would/could. When are you ever gonna see Gotenks chatting with Nappa? Never. Never ever.

Ikr, i hate how dragon ball super potrayed the super saiyan form as if it was nothing of value, atleast they didn't go as far as super saiyan 3 or i would have been hella pissed.
The super Sayan form stopped being of value right after the fight with Frieza. After that, it just worked as an entry barrier.
the tingling thing was as bad as calling future trunks new form Super Saiyan Rage... i mean come the fuck off Super Saiyan from the get go was letting all the rage out and you gonna call a form just that? Hell before it's true name was revealed some fans used to call it a Super Saiyan Demigod and considering it has some of the god ki colors in it's aura it was a much better name... That tingling sensation was just a nail in the coffin for how stupid Super has become... granted i watch it and i enjoy the fights but it's story is simply bad. I hope that after the hiatus they take, writers will get their shit togheter and make better plots for a continuation/next series.

Except Goku and Vegeta were already Super Saiyans when they impregnated their wives, with Goten and Trunks. Not to mention both of them have also been training and have likely seen Vegeta and Gohan transform into a SS before.. Your strength doesn't determine you getting a transformation easier. That's retarded. Obviously in Cabba's case, he knew absolutely nothing about Super Saiyan until Goku and Vegeta displayed it in the U6 vs U7 Tournament and he was equally/evenly matched with Vegeta, in their normal forms. Yet it took actual rage for him to unlock both SS and SS2 unlike Kale and Caulifla where they literally made a tingly sensation in the center of their spines using their Ki and they immediately transformed into SS and SS2, or in Kale's case, LSS. I love how Piccolo is involved and ribbing Vegeta with full knowledge someone could turn it back on him
I have to agree with the ginyus. Gotenks did the arm thing, but his core and lower half are basically in a horse riding stance. He's all lined up in the same axis. It looks flat and boring. meanwhile, the ginyus all have complete poses that include the lower half, thorax rotation and their feet and legs are offset in two axis. Their poses are objectively better. Gotenks has a lot to learn.
Burter shows this directly by doing the same pose better.
Not only that but the Ginyus show time and time again it's not about just shifting into a pose, it's about the journey into it. Take their introduction poses in the series, each member not only transition into their poses but each show their character as they do so. Not only that but each even announce themselves in a better fashion too. Gotenks came off as just saying 'hi' in a basic fashion. The Ginyus introduce themselves and give off power while doing so. It isn't even just the volume difference but the tone.
Gotenks is trying to show off, the Ginyus make a statement. He can really learn alot from the Captain and the others. Plus you know you're bad when even Guldo can dunk on you.
