I lived in Terrigal ten years ago. (I live in Ireland now but considering moving back) it's lovely to see the place again and how it's changed! Check out Avoca too it's a lovely spot not far from Terrigal. Most people who commute to Sydney drive to Gosford Station and get the train, if I remember correctly!
Beautiful Terrigal, it looks even better than when I was last there, it was mostly surfies now it's more young families! The food looks good too! Do test out the average peak hour driving distances and really check the details, before shopping for a long term home! (It's actually the Pacific Highway! 😄) The drone footage is excellent, cheers Ewen! 😁👍
I think it could get really busy and get frustrating after a while, the government have just funded a high speed rail system but that won't be available for a good few years yet. Lots to think about! It's a really lovely place! ❤
Beautiful area, but the commute each way through the working week could take a toll for Euan being away from the family unless the train is quicker. I totally understand why you are thinking down this line though. Once not tied to a specific employer more opportunities will open up if that’s the case. Another beautiful area to visit is Hyams beach at Jarvis Bay it’s approximately 3 hours south of Sydney. Perhaps a weekend break. It’s such a beautiful quaint little town. Sunglasses would be required as according to the Guinness World Record it boasts the whitest sand on our entire plant! Hope Euan enjoyed his Fathersday 😊
I totally agree, I feel like it would get frustrating after a while- still trying to weigh it all up. Possibly look at northern beaches too, just need to expect to pay much more. Oh we have Jarvis Bay on our list for a weekend break! Looks beautiful x
@kimberleylucas Hahaha, who said anything about Canberra Kim? Everybody know Newcastle is the capital of Australia. Hahaha Gotcha mate. Just my weird? Sense of humour.
@kimberleylucas NO matter where you and your family decide to settle in Aust Kim, it's certain that you and your family will be a benefit to the Community.
G'day Kim! Yes the Central Coast is a great option for those who don't mind a bit of a commute...I live near Toukley(I'm retired and moved up here from Sydney) and I know of several people who drive to Hornsby then take the train into Sydney...it's another option you might consider...Yes properties up here are half what they cost in Sydney. Same goes for rents more or less... Just don't get anywhere too close to the lakes. Central Coast Council do a shitty job keeping the entrance dredged and that has been a reason, part at least for the flooding in the last few years...Cheers!
This is really helpful information thank you! 😊 I know the government have just funded a high speed rail but that won't be available for a good few years yet, still food for thought. It's frustrating that sydney is so expensive!
Good churches around that area, like EVchurch. It’s a bit of a pain getting out and back through Gosford, etc by car in the morning 6-9am and evenings 4-6pm during weekdays, might make you a little bit crazy. Is some work from home an option? All the best.
Terrigal and Many are the same to many people 🤨 I go back to 1968 when I live in Terrigal, which is a very quiet 🤫 place, and I live on our Orange farm next store to are motel called the Jolly Jumbut on Terrigal Drive Terrigal
I have very fond memories of holidaying in Terrigal both as a child and then holidaying with my children when they were younger.
What a beautiful place to make lovely memories ❤

@@kimberleylucasWhat high speed rail system? There's been nothing but talk for the last four decades, so don't hold your breath.

It's nice to see the family out for the day. Terrigal is a nice joint. Why Terrigal and not the capital of Aust Kim?
Never been to Canberra so can't comment on that, Sydney however it's extortionate, and I'm not enjoying the traffic situation 😅

Is Youan enjoyin Aust Kim? Hahaha, good onya Ewan mate.❤❤❤❤ one each for the family. 😂😂
It’s a beautiful spot. Can be pricey. Have stayed there a few times.
Much more affordable than Sydney 😅 but potentially moving a little further out would be cheaper? It's just the commute that's the issue ..
Your "wrap" is KEBAB
after 50s you would not praise Australian sunny days as nice anymore. The damage to the skin would make you a shade seeking hermit.
