Fist of War E-60 Paper panzer (Modelcollect 1/35 scale model)

- Building and slightly modifying the E-60 tank from Model Collect. This paper panzer is an extension of the Entwicklung standard tank program that was planned by Germany towards the end of WW2. The quality of the kit is not great, but the price is relatively low and it offers opportunities for modification and experimentation.

It amazes me that the company went ahead to make this without obviously looking at the quality items already on sale.
Yeab, although their E-60 is unique I guess
Hi Stu, this one looks like a nice little diversion. I like your idea for a display.
Thanks. Yes, definitely a diversion from harder and more complex models
I’m pretty sure the E-60 originated from an old tank video game which stated it was fictional.
Yes, you're right
Great build,i have recently made the tigerzahn e60 from modelcollect, and i have picked up the zwilling/double gun e100 and i feel Like they are great ,as you said it, canvases for upgrades, and with my e60 i added additional armour from photoetch, thanks for the vid!
Nice - good to know I wasn't the only one who approached them this way :) That E-100 does look good!
The turret mount x3 is for the 3 tonne crane to remove engine plates and engines etc in the field 😊
Thanks - I didn't know that
Those "holes" on top of the turret are "Pilzen Sockets" for a Pilzen Jib crane that was used in removing and installing the engine. This was a common feature on many late war German armored vehicles. This model looks interesting. I may have to try one of their kits.
Thanks! I always appreciate learning something new.
Nice work on your part. "Made lemonade out of lemons", I would not worry about the anti air defense over the radiator fans, more then likely they would have been dented and stepped on.
Thanks - much appreciated :)
This looks like a fun tank to build and modify.
I may very well be wrong saying this, but wasn't this used by Eastern Germany/ the Soviets in the opening stages of The Cold War? Or at least a much heavier version. I can live with being wrong, I usually do...
I'm fairly certain this is fictious, though that doesn't mean there were no similar designs
Really enjoyed this. I have a couple of these type kits in my stash and although not yet tackled, the tracks look a bit of a challenged. Would be nice to mention how they went when you next pot. Many thanks
Thanks, will do. I only missed them out this time because my voice went :)
Nice build, this looks to be an ideal kit to experiment with to hone your skills and try new techniques and paint finishes, thanks for making me aware of these kits , because I had never heard of them, cheers.
Thanks Steven. I hadn't seen them before Telford either.
I was wondering about that Fist of War series.... Good idea, bad execution on the manufacturer side. Thank you for the content.
Yes, just not quite there. A shame really.
"Paper model" xD

🤝👍
Thanks
I like the idea of painting it in the late-war disc style camouflage.
Yeah, disc camo is nice
>click video saying paper panzer.
>model is plastic, not paper.
I feel betrayed
Haha, sorry
I believe the Germans switched to an olive green camo color
Yes, as a late war base coat
@ModelNerd that would be a different way and something total cool to see
@@rickmoreno6858 It's a nice scheme. I did my Jagdpanther in it a while ago - and still have the intention to bring that one back out for a diorama.
