@@RaidenReborn Glad Beasts was my first deck when Master Duel came out, but I haven't played it in a while sadly. This video is making me want to revisit it lol.
before descovering Blackwing like 8 years ago, Gladiator Beast was my favorite deck by far, now I'm taking them back and this video right now is what I needed to improve my deck
My jaw hit the floor when I saw that Heraklinos is not a soft once per turn, not even a once per turn at all. I think I’m definitely building GB’s soon, because they’re so fun to watch contact fuse off of each other over and over, without being too strong.
@@RaidenReborn Have you tried with Unexpected Dai? To be fair, Fusion Deployment's condition of only Fusion Summon for the rest of the turn is quite a big drawback also
I have in the past but I didn't like it. I prefer Fusion Deployment to Unexpected Dai even with its restriction. Now, if as part of a new wave of GB support we get a Link-1 monster that requires Andal to Link Summon, then Unexpected Dai would be an instant 3-of IMO.
Hey Raiden good vid!, I also play that deck a lot! (on MD), and recently I reached a really solid and spicy strong build, can I tell you some techs/tactics that Im using?, maybe they can help you if you use some of them to improve the deck even more! (Also I just read here in the comments that its your all time fav deck, its one of my favs archetypes too! [top 3] )
Thank you very much! It's also nice to know GBs are among your favourite archetypes. That's really good to know and I would be grateful to hear what techs/tactics you're using in your build. (Thanks a lot for offering to share.)
first off, did i hear boss music? second of all, how are your plays so dang cool?! you make this deck run like a well oiled machine. but i have to question some of the plays i saw on your opponents side. the heck with that Runick player... look, I play Runick in a lot of ways, including ways people despise, as it's my favorite deck. but that attempt was sad. Keep it up. you are so damn good at this deck.
Aha, were you referring to the music played during the deck profile part? If so, the music played is from the Dragon Ball Super Broly movie. Thanks a lot for your positive feedback! Gladiator Beasts are my favorite archetype and I’ve been piloting them for a long time. Haha, yeah that certainly was a unique Runick player to say the least. I really appreciate your support and I intend to make more Gladiator Beast content in the future.
@@RaidenReborn ill keep watching your efforts, as it is i also find it funny that the majority of the time i was watching this, i was responding like Vegeta was to Broly in the TFS Broly Abridged movie. So cool. so damn cool. every time i see one of your videos the anti-combo side of my brain gets a temporary override and i start checking on building the deck in MD. may have helped i hard pulled Heraklinos recently...
Much appreciated! Haha, that’s awesome and I do like TFS. Thanks so much and it’s really cool knowing you plan to build a GB deck in MD; nicely done on pulling Heraklinos!
Would it be better to change "x3 Gladiator Beast Andal" and "x3 Rescue Rabbit" for "x3 Gladiator Beast Samnite" and "x3 Rescue Cat"? The deck don't use "Unexpected dai", gladiator Beast Andal is not very important. The Samnite and Rescue Gat combo provides the same. In addition, we can also bring "test tiger" from the deck. What do you think?
I wouldn’t recommend it in a build like this. I think the inclusion of Rescue Cat and Gladiator Beast Samnite works much better in a Tri-Brigade variant of the deck. While this deck doesn’t use Unexpected Dai, its use of Gladiator Beast Andal, Rescue Rabbit and Link Spider is important.
You’re welcome! :) Combo example: a single Rescue Rabbit can combo into an Apollousa with 2400 ATK, or a Test Panther and Number 41 Bagooska (when going first); when going second, you can replace Bagooska with Gladiator Beast Dragases. The basis of said combo is: Rescue Rabbit -> 2x Andal -> Link Summon Test Panther and add Gladiator Beast Comeback - > Use Comeback to revive Andal from GY -> Use Test Panther’s effect to swap the revived Andal for Darius -> Use Darius’ effect to revive the other Andal from GY -> You now have Test Panther, Darius and Andal on your field to play around with. The same combo can be achieved if you have 2x Andal in your hand instead of Rescue Rabbit, and it involves climbing into Test Panther by using Link Spider.
Thank you! I have taken this deck to Platinum Tier 4 at the time of this video. To be honest, I would say a Tri-Brigade variant of a Gladiator Beast deck is the most competitive way to play the archetype right now but even then, the current Master Duel meta is very anti-GB I'd say.... so YMMV.
@@RaidenReborn thank you for your reply! I hope you will post more videos, including with tri brig variant. GB was actually my first competitive deck back in the day, glad to see it's still around somehow. Subscribed
You're welcome and thanks a lot for your comments and subscribing! I intend to continue making videos and showcase a Tri-Brigade variant in the future. It's great to know GB was your first competitive deck back then. GB is my all-time favorite archetype and I try to keep them relevant for as long as possible.
@RaidenReborn yea bro ofc i remember playing with GB in duel links and the deck does only otk with unexpected dai and rejection hahaha gyzo to op for duel links 🤣🤣
I think if a GB deck includes a copy of Darius, then it should also include Andabata. I like Andabata because pulling off his effect can snowball into so many combos of your choosing and it can really come in clutch at times. Nonetheless, Andabata is up to personal preference, and you can certainly replace him with another copy of Domitianus or a generic extra deck monster.
I don't. I primarily use Fusion Deployment as an extender for when Rescue Rabbit gets negated (e.g. by Ash Blossom) which happens a lot and, the card combos very well with Gladiator Rejection. With this build, I don't always have to go into Link monsters. To me, Unexpected Dai is more of a brick than Fusion Deployment is.
This deck is designed to go second. It can make plays when you go first but it requires in your hand (at minimum): a copy of Rescue Rabbit OR, a copy of Gladiator Rejection and Fusion Deployment; in order to make a decent play.
@@RaidenReborn I'm building this deck right now. But I don't have Rescue Rabbit, or UR to craft it. So, what are the alternative cards or build without Rabbit? . I have Rescue Cat, but I don't think this is useful because most GladBeast in your deck are lv. 4 and higher.
Nice! I recommend you use Gladiator Proving Ground and/or Unexpected Dai in place of Rescue Rabbit. While you won't be able to 1-card combo, you will be able to 2-card combo with 2x Andal and the aforementioned substitute cards would increase the consistency of it. IMHO Rescue Cat should only be used in a Tri-Brigade variant of a Gladiator Beast deck.
@RaidenReborn I made your build after seeing your replays (is a very fun deck to play), I'm looking forward to see some going first plays, *subscribed* 👍🏻
