I love gladiator beasts, used to play it like 10 years ago when it was still meta and it was also the first deck I built in Master Duel. Love to see it!
Did not realise how much better I could be playing these guys. Great deck, I hope I can use it half as good as you! Finally understand how to use test panther now :D
Thanks a lot for your support. I intend to make an updated version of this deck in the future. I'm waiting for the Master Duel meta to "calm down" a bit first.
i been playin dem GEE BEASTS for over a decade, they need a lil mo support, like those cards Battle Beast played against Yuya and Jack Atlas. the deck is SO fun to play, they just need more protection and recovery. this video is beautiful
Much appreciated man! It's always great to see another fan of the archetype. GBs definitely need some new good support and I'm hoping we get some in 2023/2024.
Perfect. I love finding small channels that play archetypes that arent super meta. I looked hoping to find one to help a friend out with improving his Glad Beast deck and this is perfect thanks man. I'll be discussing with him partly using your deck as some inspiration. He aint got much card dust so we cant 100% net deck you(I prefer inspo to full net decking anyway, not sure on his opinion) but it is a nice one to use, I especially like the use of recue rabbit, always fun to see those kinds of combos. Do you think you'd ever make videos that are more like deck profiles vids and/or talking over your replays giving your thoughts on why you made certain decisions in the game? Similar to what Kiwami Games does for his Vampire Decks. Videos like this are cool but while it's not a thing for everyone I find play by play over replays as well as card by card deck profiles very helpful when learning a deck as well as improving with them.
Many thanks and you’re very welcome! I get great satisfaction from helping other players with their deck building etc. Sometime in the future, I intend to start making voice-over content such as the one you suggested and much more. Until then, feel free to ask any such questions in the comments section of my videos. :)
This man been piloting glad beats for years. I can tell by the plays lol. Also you can try an almaraj in extra in case you open the 800 atk glad beast with the reborn spell and no other extenders for the basic combo. Also you can try 1 unexpected dai and 2 deployment. Deployment is awesome but it conflicts with test panter… I’m gonna be playing this deck soon. Might even mess around with the branded stuff see how it goes
Aha, much appreciated! Those are some good tips and thanks for sharing them. I hope you find success with the deck when you get around to using it. Branded-GB is very interesting!
@@RaidenReborn I’ve been testing the gladbeasts for 2 days now, but it is so weak to handtraps. Especially to veiler/imperm on test panter. Or even an ash/veiler/ imperm on rescue rabbit. The rescue rabbit is really good if it goes off but I think it’s not worth playing due to being weak to the common handtraps in most decks. I might look into making a control deck out of glad beast and take advantage of its non once per turns effect. So like playing multiple equeste to recycle the traps (charge and chariot). The combo deck, is not ideal in a competitive format because you have to play so much engine. But ngl, ending with the s/t negate fusion and the monster negate fusion alone, can beat most decks (except tear). When the bystial comes out it’ll be a boost to the deck, to make test panther easy. We can probably free 6 cards in the main deck by cutting the rescue rabbit engine and replace with bystials. E hero Prisma + a bystial can be sick combo.
@@neroknight1234 Kudos on your testing and feedback. Pure GBs is unfortunately the least competitive way to play the deck in the current format, and the reasons you shared are good examples as to why. (It’s part of a list of reasons why I hope Konami releases new good GB support in 2023/2024.) At present, I think the most competitive way to play GBs in Master Duel and in the TCG/OCG, is with the Tri-Brigade archetype. I wish you all the best in your future GB deckbuilding and duels.
Always good to see a GB that makes to quit a Tearlaments player 🤣 How far can this deck go in ranked? And is this a better version than the Tri-Brigade Gladiator Beast version?
Haha, I know right? It was a miracle I was able to pull that off. I'm currently 2 wins away from hitting Gold Tier 2 with this deck. I think in this current "Tearlaments-Ishizu" Master Duel format: pure GBs is better than the Tri-Brigade variant.
You definitely use that deck a thousand times better than me. All I do is attempt to summon the fusion monster that allows me to summon another fusion monster and either summon the dragon or Heraklios, put some traps down that negate effects or if I summon the dragón first put the trap card that destroys face up cards with the amount of gladiator beasts I have. But if that doesn’t work or the opponent has more powerful monsters I don’t know what to do😢. Just started playing like a week ago.
Thanks a lot for the feedback. Considering you only started using the deck around a week ago, I'd say you got off to a good start with the example plays you've made. I hope you find better success and enjoyment with the deck going forward.
I didn't realize how many of these effects were once per turn. This deck has more too it than I thought. I pulled a Royal Rare Test Panther a long time ago, ao I think it's time to give it a go! Great video.
Aha, I agree and older archetypes like GBs do benefit from things like that. Kudos on pulling a Royal Rare Test Panther and I hope you put it to good use! Thanks a lot for your support!
@@tanjungks Sorry but not at this time. Against Tearlaments going-first, you would want to try and make Abyss Dweller ASAP. Going-second, use board breakers like Santa Claws and Triple Tactics Talent; while also using hand-traps like D.D. Crow. Unfortunately, we pretty much have to wait until Konami drops the banhammer on them.
I would substitute 3x Rescue Rabbit for 3x Gladiator Proving Ground and, 3x Fusion Deployment for 3x Unexpected Dai. While the substitute options are not as good as the originals, at least you will be able to make up for it with increased consistency of your Gladiator Beast Andal combos (e.g. via Link Spider), and can still do Gyzarus combos when used with Gladiator Rejection.
