I hate to admit it... It's lost. Stop paying for cable, unplug all of anything connected to television. We will never have this again. We as a society have become crass, vulgarer, trash, ill manner, no talent. So sad, Yet thank youtub to bring what class and talent was. The rest of the world... You missed out on what was good.
Carol wanted some highlights and decided to put peroxide on her hair, (the night before performance). She didn't see any difference and kept piling it on. She woke up and her husband just looked at her. She fried her hair. She said the stylist freaked out trying to make her hair look normal. Carol use to dye her own hair just w/box of Clairol. She's a trip.
What’s super clever is the rising interplay, even hysteria between them, until spoonful of sugar... it’s so “choreographed” it’s truly brilliant. I doubt an audience today would understand and appreciate this level of musicality
Most girls my age want to sing like Rihanna or Ariana Grande, I want to sing like Carol and Julie. I wanna be like Carol in general, she's funny and talented and not trashy.
Something I never registered-when Julie starts in on “Spoonful of Sugar,” she sort of speak-shout-sings it rather than singing it ordinarily as she’s done the rest of the medley. Anyone who does a credible Julie Andrews impression will do exactly that kind of speak-singing. Which means, I think, that when she sings her own song, Julie is doing an impression of HERSELF!
If they brought back variety shows and they were good, wholesome fun like this--I might reconsider paying an outrageous cable bill. Today's television can't go fourteen minutes without a five minute commercial break.
Ignoring the educated CS Carson, who obviously has 'standards' that escape the rest of we mortals ...... let's also ignore, among the innumerable accolades awarded this duo, the 1963 Emmy Award for their first CBS Carnegie Hall special. I'll leave it there.

So we're not going to talk about how great Carol's look was when Julie started A Spoon Full of Sugar?

The fact these women are doing a medley nonstop is incredible and I love their friendship. They both sound great!

For those of you who don’t understand Spanish...
They just keep and going and going!!!!! <3
That was a great decade.
My god they could harmonize. Who even does an almost 15 min. (and comprehensive!) Medley anymore?!
I didn't realize Carol Burnett has such a great voice.
Honestly Julie Andrews is just my absolute hero
Lyrics:
Julie Andrews singing Let it Be... wow. Just wow.
Is it just me, but was the world in 1965 classier and more elegant than it is today?
