I'm with Rick and Rose hasn't looked like anything special at flyweight. If she doesn't want to weight cut thats fine but I don't think she can be champ at 125.

Dominick cruz wasn't very good, in the 4th round of the main event he apparently thought it was a title fight lol and nobody corrected him.
Also he had a huge problem with din tomas calling van a slow starters (which he definitly is).
By the way the judges who had it 48-47 in the main event should lose his job.
And about rose I saw improvement in her physical strength, punching power for 125 , Cortez was undefeated in the ufc and she is the first to beat Erin blanchfield (you know the second coming some midia believes) , how can anybody say we expected rose to finish her? Thats bs, before the fight people thought Cortez was going to be a tough fight and was going to have a huge advantage in wrestling and strength, well she didn't, rose was stronger and was the better grappler and her power has improved .
As long as rose keep looking better fight after fight I very hopeful for her journey at 125, it's going to be tough but she can do it.
Let's Make rose vs Erin next and let's see if she really belongs at 125.
I think Dom was speaking figuratively, in that Rose can still be considered a champion-caliber fighter who was fighting in a five-round main event.
The narrative around the hazzan-brundage incident is ridiculous at this point. We know and saw what happened in the literal span of a minute. They clearly werent intentional, hence the nc. And they werent landing like youre painting. Ktse with other fighters who blatantly cheat. Cody tried it and it was clear as day after they were seperated.
I don’t know if there was more gash in the main event, or Silva vs Dober. Please don’t report me 😂

Rose vs Andrade would guaranteed be the first BMF fight to go the distance, they already know each other so well. Rose has had multiple fights where she wins by Ko the first fight, seconds fight is a tough close decision.
The saddest part was during the broadcast you see brundage say “why are they booing me? What did I do wrong” 😢

They criticize almost every card on paper beforehand but the amount of entertainment that the UFC delivers week in and week out can not be denied. An incredible organization.

Last I heard I thought Maycee was still figuring out what happened after she beat Kaitlyn Cerminara. Her body didnt recover fast enough. i was shocked she agreed to fight Rose in a good way.
This was rose vs joanna 2 level performance, she won every round.
And seems I was correct once more and jed absolutely stink!!!! rose namajunas just needed more time to adapt her body to the weight class, she was a lot stronger than she was in her previous fights at 125 (a lot stronger than Cortez) and even her punching power has also improved and was greater than her previous fights (although I believe she still needs to continue working developing more punching power).
People need to forget about her going back to 115 she wants a new challenge. the longer she lets her body adapt to the weight class the more comfortable she will be fighting there.
Jed is a novice with zero chill he can't be patient - saying "she needs to go back down to 115!!!!! " immediatly after her first fight in a heavier weight class which was very competitive and only lost on points.
Thats why some times you just need to shut up and observe, and jed needs this more than anyone else.
Am not even gonna talk about jose young lol, jed has potential thats why I hate him sometimes but jose is a lost cause so I don't bother
She's never going to be a champion of that division. She had 3 good first rounds against a ranked 11 fighter on short notice who never fought such competition, at elevation. Rose's footwork was good but she had stretches of not throwing much and barely landing anything significant like she's had in this late career. Then she completely stepped off the gas and let Cortez come back and land some good punches despite being technically far more advanced. Nothing spectacular here.
One person in the Brundage vs. Al Hassan had zero quit in him. Alhassan refused to quit throwing illegal strikes. His fault. A little more patience and he probably could have finished Cody legally. Perhaps Alhassan quit (thinking) because the altitude was throwing illegal strikes to his lungs.

@@thankgodmusicvery good 1st round, then it dropped off. Good BJJ from rose but it really wasn't very exciting after that first round, Rose was content to point fight to a decision with foot work and clinching.
Rose did what she had to win. Tracy took Rose to the cards.

the shots were not clearly illegal... in fact only like 1 of them was even debatable, the rest never hit the mark. its not the entire back of the head, its basically middle of the back of your head...basicaly if you were to trace your spine and then extend that up and over the back of your head...

That's completely false. The back of the head is a line connecting ear to ear, from the back of the head and anything in and under it (not the top like it used to be called "headphone" rule.) It's not just a line from the spine to the base of the head, though that area is also included. There is a video where Herb Dean, alongside Sal D'Amato and UFC Chief Physician Dr. Jeff Davidson, explains and gives examples of the rule.
