When I told the medical assistant that I was uncomfortable with the male med students, she told me "it's okay they're married." It was so embarrassing & I heard them laughing/snickering while they were observing. Everytime I see this scene, I think of that day.

But I believe this must be it because that's why the joke always went above my head.
This reminds me of when I was 14 I had a skin tag growing on my lower back, I was so embarrassed about it and my parents were going through rough financial times so they kept telling me we'll go see a doctor later which turned into 6 months. It's a pain in the ass having to entirely avoid the topic of beaches or pools with your friends when you live in Florida 🤣. That doctors appointment literally took 5 minutes, quick snip and bye bye skin tag. Fast forward 15 or so years and my mom finally admitted they just kept forgetting to make the appointment, it had nothing to do with money lol
