Thanks for all the Emerald videos! I never played Lorcand before today an with your help, albeit unknowingly, I top 4'd our event. It was a rather rag tag pile of Emerald Steel cards. No Ursula deceiver of all, I didn't have them.

Incredibly based. I'm going to two sets myself and my first deck was Jafar but I'm too coward to spin the wheel.
+1 Jafar, but my Jafar deck list is quite different than the one he showed + the common mid-range one in a good way :)
Hmmm whay are the lines you're looking for right away for your emerald steel build? In the opener are you mulling cards in hopes to set up the cursed, flynn and prince john plays or if you have a solid starting curve even without one or two of those are you still keeping or mulling for them?

I think the RA is fair assessment. It’s harder to pilot correct lines based on matchup. S tier when used by great players who know matchup dependency but C on average.
As I don't have the legendary ursulas currently I've been playing steel song but struggling a fair bit with it so changing to sapphire steel instead. I love RA but am bored doing the same thing all the time so that seems about right as to the ranking.
Wish I could compete for one but apparently zero shops within my entire state are holding these events.
Amber/Steel Songs makes it into S tier and Ruby/Amethyst Control only makes it into C tier despite them both being the top decks in the meta since the beginning? Makes sense...

RA seems about right. It's in a weird spot where it can win or lose against pretty much anything. Knowing what to mulligan and what to play around is more important than tech choices with RA imo.
Im pretty happy with what I ran, i ended up getting a Stitch, running RA Brooms

Is there a way to play discard without Ursula? I've been playing around with a budget Emerald Amethyst tempo budget deck and enjoy it, but this one seems strictly better.
One thing I will say after way too many green steel games is you really struggle with ruby steel locations decks. Just can’t kill the small locations fast enough and they don’t usually run a lot of songs
I have been playing a lot of Emerald Steel in the build up to set champs but find going up against Steel Song a real rough match that is almost auto loss if the player is good. Am I missing something in dealing with that?
You should consider ba boom. Good way to keep them off shifting until u burn their hand. Ursula deceiver to snatch the whole new world
Lists like this don’t really matter when your local meta could be entirely different.
I really disagree as there is going to be lots of people playing one of these decks. Local meta is different sure but these are the 'meta' decks for a reason - because they are the best decks in the game. Of course that doesn't mean they don't have bad match ups into off-meta stuff though
As someone who went to a shop that was absolutely new to me to try for the Stitch with Amber/Steel Songs and ran into at least 5 players playing R/S, I feel this in my soul lmao
The jafar deck that I run isn't like what you had. I think my deck runs a lot smoothly do to some other cards and definitely makes it deal with the harder decks.
no flaversham or tamatoa in the saphire/steel deck is a choice for sure feel like that youre so all in on the wheel at that point of you get turn 2 ursula and they rip your wheel then what?
No Hiram is a bad choice when this deck already suffers from not great draw
The Emerald Amethyst Midgro Bounce (with the Big Ursulas) all got bounced at my local store championships. The top 4 winners out 16
1. Emerald Steel Discard
2. Ruby Amethyst
3. Ruby Amethyst
4 Steel Song
At mine, I finished T-9 with it. Was one of the unlucky ones who couldn’t ID into top 8 at 3-1, albeit I’m playing the standard version with not prince John or sudden chill.
Our top 8 was:
2 Emerald Steel discards (1 won)
1 Ruby Sapphire Control (2nd)
2 Amber Steel Song
1 Red Mufasa (the guy who beat me to get into top 8 😢)
1 Amethyst Steel control
1 sweet Amethyst steel titans deck
If red yellow boofasa then green steel is “simple jack going full discard “
So no prince for the pridelands?

How was it?
I had bad match ups… lost my first game then won 2… then came up against a previous tournament winner and lost… the matched up against someone who later won the tournament and lost with luck… so ended up 2 wins 4 losses but have to say bad luck with the pairing but also did not made many mistakes so the deck falled short
@@kennydebruijn1486 I played a lot of Emerald Steel Discard and then tried to do Amber Emerald Discard... the results just aren't the same although the A/E deck looks better in theory. It's one of those things where those Steel songs really do make a difference even if you don't use them that much.

Songs are actions. If Tiana is exerted and you have no cards in hand, you can’t play actions (songs included).
