I don’t get it, if there were 16,000 people without shelter at the count then why do they only have a few dozen beds on one town? It seems like each town should have thousands of beds available for those at risk.
2023,2024, and 2025 netted 400 million dollars for homeless programs in Seattle. At an average of $10 a meal for 365 days a year that’s 58 million for the 16 thousand homeless in king county. However I know for a fact they are not feeding 16 thousand a day. Let’s just say they were. That’s a surplus of about 2 hundred million for the last three years. Anyone want to add to this? Ah. The budget allegedly goes to anyone that is considered low income? Housing projects, rent, etc. anyone know where I can see a list of every penny spent? It would be interesting to go over.
