    omg i tried massaging the muscle "balls" by the corners of my mouth and actually regained my long-lost dimples after first try! i've always done facial muscle massage almost as a weird habit, but identifying these tight spots by my mouth was a breakthrough...the right side of my face has always "sagged" a bit more, felt more tense (i carry tension on that side of my body) and the "ball" was way more evident on the right. but lo! i've managed to minimize it - and hello dimples! thanks, christine: )

    I've got an horrendous RBF and marionette lines. I do have this little machine with a rough surface on one side and a knobbly surface on the other, meant for massaging in creams etc to your face. I am thinking that I could maybe use that to massage those muscles and also the lines around my mouth. Those lines are usually associated with people who smoke, but I've never smoked in my life. I used to have a very young looking face and always looked about 10 yrs younger than my age, but in the last couple of years, that seems to have changed and all these frown lines and marionette lines are making me feel and look so very old.

      No I don't have any fillers left in my face (first and last time I tried was in 2016) Yes deep massage can displace fillers. I would do only very light movements directed at the superficial fascia. Use about a nickle's worth of pressure and use the tension technique where I'm gently pulling the skin apart in different directions. I'm not digging into the skin in anyway.

    I live this video! I’ve had many teeth (all my back molars) pulled out on each side of my lower mouth because I have bad teeth and now I have bad marionette lines. I don’t feel any balls there, do you think the lack of volume (gums are much thinner now without any back teeth)is what’s causing it? Is filler the best treatment for my situation or something else?

    • @ChristineByerEsthetician
      @ChristineByerEsthetician  5 років тому +1

      +MoonKat it sounds like you need volume back in your cheeks so yes. You have to either shrink it or fill it or a combo of both.

    There is a device made to "blast" facia and thereby purportedly get rid of cellulite.It entails getting black and blue marks, and I think that is where to concept had gone wrong. This gentle technique of releasing facia looks like the real deal to me.

    • @ChristineByerEsthetician
      @ChristineByerEsthetician  4 роки тому

      Loralieisa M yes I agree the face doesn’t need to be blasted! ❤️

      @loralieisa 4 роки тому

      @@ChristineByerEsthetician I was in physical therapy for a back injury, and my physical therapist offered that opinion. about getting bruises. The fascia blaster also had a purported function of releasing fascia that was responsible for back pain. I am so glad I stayed away from blasting even though i had bought the device.

    • @ChristineByerEsthetician
      @ChristineByerEsthetician  5 років тому +2

      Arg I know. I would start on NeoGenesis Recovery 4-6 drops twice a day stat and also try to find an esthetician that can apply the Sculplla Facial Filler Mask for you. Really helps fill in the fine lines and wrinkles if done in A series of 5. Awesome. christinebyeresthetics.com/collections/neogenesis-collection/products/neogenesis-recovery

    I feel the relaxation in my whole body while massaging these muscles in my face, just like when your feet are massaged and you feel relaxed all the way and get sleepy.
    After my brackets were removed my chin area changed and I became insecure bc my mouth went a little backward. I have high cheekbones after the dental correction but I also feel I have lines along my mouth that I didn't have before. I even cried after I saw my new face. My face changed after the brackets. People think I'm making uty up but it was a trauma for me. I always looked younger than my age and now I see those lines and my chin went a bit backward. I try to be happy with myself but I keep thinking about it if it's bc of the dental treatment or not. I had the brackets for only one year but I really saw another face in the mirror.
    I miss my former face, with a little imperfection in my teeth. But I can't undo it so I just try to count my blessings. It feels like my profile has changed and I'm also insecure when others take pictures of me or I'm not confident to make a video of myself. It's kind of limiting. Maybe the massage will help because I have spalks behind my teeth and it feels tight. Hard to explain, it's googled to see if more people have the same issue but couldn't really find one experience similar to mine
    The frustrating part is that if I still would have my original teeth and face I wouldn't worry about ageing. My profile was nice and my face more round so no lines I'm even thinking about removing the spalks. To make it feel relaxed again. It's as if my mouth became smaller. My under jaw became a little broader and therefore it looks like the angle from chin to neck is less sharp. It feels and looks unnatural. But people probably often think I'm exaggerating. It's your face... You look at it it's familiar and suddenly it's different. I asked the dentist if it would change my mouth he said no, your profile can have some changes. But like in a painting changing one little part changes the whole picture. Anyway I'm a bit off topic but had to get it off my chest. Thanks for this very useful video I feel it will help also to relax stress in the whole body system! Face muscles were forgotten by many so it seems well at least by me.

      Ms. Smith this happened to a colleague of mine named Jane Mann. Check out the Oralift. She’s distributing it now becuase she understands how shortening your bite (and therefore the length of the face and angle of the jaw) can age us. She cried too. But the Oralift is amazing.

    A long time ago I was given a radiation treatment that destroyed my thyroid and in so doing I gained 90 pounds!!!! Besides that, now my adrenials are messed up! I started losing the weight after 15 years of natural herbs and minerals, now I'm getting older and my face is aging but worse than that is the fluids still in pockets in my cheeks and lower face area..like jowls! I am wondering if this manipulation can get the fluids to go away?? I have lost about 31 pounds so far! Thanks! I know these fluids are not my normal face!

    I was told by a "microcurrent guru" that the frontalis and procerus are the only muscles you relax in a microcurrent treatment. All other muscles are tightened/strengthened. Is that true?

    • @ChristineByerEsthetician
      @ChristineByerEsthetician  5 років тому +2

      Salonsloan every face is different. If a muscle is overly tight strengthening it with microcurrent really won’t help the face look better. Take Jane Mann’s class on Facial Contouring Massage. She truly understands facial structure and microcurrent. She did a Q and A today with Lori Crete’s coaching group. They went through another esthetician’s clients one by one and talked about how she would work their faces. What to release to get the lift they want. Or if it’s even possible. Sometimes the skin is detached from the muscle and all the microcurrent in the world won’t help it. Too late. Look into Jane’s classes. The microcurrent guru you spoke to is very wrong in this case.
