Also: painting roller extension poles come in handy. Most are fiberglass shafts and don't flex much. You can mod them to add a camera thread-mount.
Small tip: When you inevitably lose the cap for the sticks rather sharp 1/4 inch threat,
you can replace it with the cap from a standard bicycle tire hose (tube).
It wont cover it all the way, but at least you don't make scratches / holes in things.

I have the regular extended selfie stick which I noticed it bends and you can't adjust to different heights... I need this new one.
I just ordered my Insta360 X3 yesterday and in June I will be in Sydney for four nights of a 40 night world trip. So that video gave me some inspiration. I only have ordered the 114cm stick though.

Awesome! But why is the previous version so much cheaper?
It’s not that much cheaper- the reason is it’s nowhere near the quality of this one, doesn’t compact as well, bends more etc.
I just got my Insta360 kit with the extended edition stick and audio adapter. I hope to give 360 tours when I travel. Great video by the way. You’ve earned my sub for your creative mind and daring attitude to just try it and see what happens. “We’ll fix it in post.” Right? LOL!!!

You can use an old school heavy tripod. I had one that was 2.5kg and never tipped over!

Hi Ben, I live in Sydney and just got my first 360 camera (X3) with the bike accessory kit. I’m new to using it and a new UA-cam creator. I’m happy to take you for a ride around the city to get some 360 footage from a bike prospective . (I have two folding Brompton bikes)
I have the Telesin 2nd gen 3m selfie stick and it's really good for half the price.
This stick is suitable for shooting videos and, if anything, for SELF-DEFENSE 😁

I got my extended stick a few weeks. I recorded some EUC riding.

Hey Ben, where can I edit my Rylo 360 videos? VSCO has been “zero” help and I think I may just have a very expensive paper weight. I do have the Rylo app, but it will not connect to the camera through the sync cable or wireless. Any help or guidance will be vey much appreciated.

Hi Ben: Great Videos. Have you ever experienced a black dot on top and the bottom of your 360 videos?
No, but that is a sign that your footage is the wrong aspect ratio, or resolution. Make sure you export at the same resolution as the original footage 👍
cool tip: if you can do this during a subsolar moment (lahaina noon) you can totally remove yourself from the video and don't have to worry about shadows extending from the bottom of the frame.

I have spent many hours trying to determine how Kurt Kaz (UA-cam) pans his video camera while it's on a selfie stick. Can you tell me what is needed. I understand he uses a Sony FDR x3000X. The other requirement would be, the camera and stick should be lite. Thanks

Yes but the Z1 does not record very good quality video
I suspect if you’d held that pole over the water you might have caught a fisheye lens. Very cool shots!
