Pollinator strip looks great. I’m jealous of all your healthy milkweed. If you want to start liatris it does need cold stratification to germinate so you might want to get seed this fall. If you have a friend with some, just one spike of seeds is a lot. Get a few spikes of mature seeds, mix it with compost and put down handfuls of the seed/soil mix where you want it. You are better off getting a clump of seedlings in each spot, like a clump of grass. When mature they will turn into bulb/corm things the size of a nickel which are easy to dig up in the spring or fall. I have a ~3x2 patch that is dense with liatris like a carpet of grass and offers a lot for cutting.
Thanks so much and good advice - I read it takes a while to germinate so putting outside this fall right in the patch sounds like a great idea. I’d give you some milkweed starts next spring if you were close - I hate pulling and throwing them.
Looks great! 😊
Lots of growth since this spring!
