Thanks for the info's. As i start using MS2024 for my videos, it's good to have some inputs. Just one option to add; Ctrl C will also switch between outside and cockpit. Have fun!
@@KludgeMaker that’s unfortunate. They did not include Bush Trips in the Career Mode? I’m asking because I never did anything else but the Free Flight in 2020 🤣
@@dronesim I realize I'm a tiny sliver of the audience, but I'm here for the sightseeing. Not interested in working my way through career mode to get to what I want to see/play.
I’m running the Xbox version I got with Gamepass $10 for PC only, and it runs great! I’ve had no issues. It installed very fast and runs well. I’m even using some payware from MSFS2020 and they also work. Some need updates of course. I also mostly fly free flight. I’m very happy with the new sim.
Surprised so many are still having issues, last two or three days have been great for me. Textures are loading normally, visuals look way better than 2020 imo. Yea, setting up controls was annoying but I recently got a couple stream decks I’ve been wanting to setup with hotkeys so this gave me a reason. Career mode is addicting and gives you a real reason to play rather than endless free play.
HELP! My mouse is extremely sensitive when looking around the cockpit. I have lowered all settings s to do with the camera and it’s super slow with my Xbox controller now but still hasn’t changed my mouse. Is it in the “hardware settings” in the settings panel? Idk how to adjust that
@ I just read your other replies about this same issue. I will try to play with again but if you have found anything else that would be great. I can use the Xbox controller just fine but literally bought a mouse specifically for this
Why couldn't there just be a migration path from FS2020 that allows you to load your control settings? I'd guess the majority of FS2024 customers previously used FS2020 and don't want to learn the new settings.
@@RJN82 I was really disappointed when I heard that MS and Asobo said that the (custom) controls of 2020 are not going to be imported to 2024. But at least they have included the 2020 presets for the keyboard.

Whatever happened to plug and play? Surely the default settings on the controllers should just work and then by all means go and fiddle and adjust, assign as required. They seem to have turned a reasonably complicated system in 2020 into a even more complicated one in 2024. Yes I know xPlane sort of sucks graphically etc but as least getting the controllers to work and views are dead set easy.
My mouse is extremely sensitive to the point where I can’t even look around. Do you know how to fix it as I’ve changed the settings and it still remains unusable thanks
Couple of questions first - Which settings did you try to set? - Is your mouse capable of setting the sensitivity (DPI)? In the Settings > Camera there are options to set the Freelook Speed and Freelook Momentum. There’s also the setting to change the Freelook Speed of the Character at the bottom.
@ Firstly I went to settings> camera > free look speed and momentum and changed them and no change, only my controller. After that I went into controls > mouse > camera > hardware settings and changed sensitivity + and sensitivity - with no change. Every setting I change seems to only apply to my controller, not my mouse
