Hi Buzz! Thanks for taking the time to make and share this video! We are thrilled that you're enjoying what we do! We are definitely a very small company, so progress takes us a while to advance our current line of products and release new fun items, but we're getting there! Thanks for the compliments and support! Doing retirement right!
I had no idea that opaque led bulbs were being made. This is a game changer for our decor! Thanks so much for sharing. I like it when my favorite channels share their favorite products without affiliate links because I know they are good and reliable.
lol...I remember those as a kid from the late 60s, early 70s. Always had on our big real tree in the house. From Austintown, OH. In AL now and retiring next month! Thanks to channels like yours...I'm ready! Keep up the good work!
Buzz you are way ahead of me. I am still working on my toilet paper dispensing drones for Halloween ! Buzz the lights could put on your tomato plants! You would be the talk of the town! :)
With farm raised trees these days they cut them way too early and get dry and die quicker. The c-7 lights we have do get hot and make me a little nervous. I'll investigate these. Thanks for making this product all The Buzz!
Since I retired end of September last year I had time to go to a cut your own farm. You're right. The trees you find on the lots at Home Depot etc. are cut down in September I believe. I put up a live tree and and a 1960's aluminum. The lights are nice!
@@BuzzRetirementGarage I was born in ‘69 and have enjoyed the best music there ever was! From my parents listening to their favs and experiencing music that came out during my lifetime. 🦚
I can see why you like these bulbs, your vintage aluminum Christmas tree was so cool in last November’s video. No one I knew growing up had one. And I thought it was beautiful. If you ever decide to sell it, please let me know. I would buy it in a heartbeat 🎄
This is cool, I didn't know about this company. You don't see these much now. I remember getting all itchy, helping to decorate our tree with them every year 😄 Thanks for passing on this info.
I've bought Christmas lights on more than one occasion at The Incredible Christmas Place in Pigeon Forge Tennessee. They have some unique LED lights I haven't found anywhere else.
I looked at their website and it seems similar to Vermont Country Store but it's really not fair to look at Christmas stock because it's a wee bit early. Lol
How cool is that?! I’m really liking that star and may think about getting it. I only have a 4 ft tree so I hope it would work on that. Back in the day when I had a big house, I had 2 trees. One more modern with white and another traditional with large bulbs and homemade ornaments. I have a German Christmas store I love going to and they have the glass blown ornaments like Radko. It’s a tradition of mine to go to the store in Gettysburg and make a day of it. The town is decorated beautifully for the holidays. Okay, I’m ready for summer to be over now.
My wife purchased some Radko ornaments for me a few years ago. They're in the style of the originals that I was buying on eBay. I'm actually entering my aluminum tree into the Cuyahoga County Fair next month! Every year I say I'm going to do it and finally it's going to happen! Lol
@@BuzzRetirementGarage We had an aluminum tree with the color wheel for a few years when I was a kid. Those are fun. Look forward to seeing the pics of yours and finding out how it does! Good luck!
Interesting products, since I spent 16 years doing a christmas lights show. I will say there are many who find that christmas lights to be a great retirement hobby ... but for me, I'm ready to do other others ... but it is a fun hobby with a huge community of great folks. I haven't heard of these true tone bulbs, tbh ... but it its a neat mix of modern and retro. The RGB LED lights is what I ended up using, along with Falcon controllers and Xlights software. Anyways, its fun to discover your interested in these lights!
I have a nostalgic streak running through me. Longing for the past too much? Maybe. As a kid I took everything for granted. Now, I enjoy my hobbies like a kid again but this time I'm grateful! Buzz
Do you have an pictures of your home all lit up around Christmas? I always found getting accurate photos of the lights to be challenging. Being a kid again is something I also aspire to a recent early retiree at 57.
Buzz you are full of surprises. Who would have thought you were a Christmas Lights Expert? I am a fan of the C9 bulbs for the outside decorations. Have never been a fan of the Led lights. I just do not like the look of the lights. I have not hung Christmas light since 2018. The reason I stopped is due to my age. Plus my wife said she would kill me if I got on the roof. So I have been paying some to hang my Christmas Lights. I will check out this company to see their products.
We have some old snowball lights. Wish we could find a company who sells them. They are round with a snowy kind of material on them. They are called officially lighted Ice!
I love those too! There's a guy making them with LED bulbs in them. Normally my throwback store is "Vermont Country Store" www.vermontcountrystore.com/ice-glo-multicolor-christmas-light-string-7-lights/product/78935
@@BuzzRetirementGarageThanks I may try to surprise my husband with some! We still have enough working and we put some of the other bulbs with them. But a few burn out each year.
@@debbiel8585 You can still find them on eBay but they're expensive and originals could burn out quickly unless you can find new (old) stock. Then prepare to pay a premium. I think he'd love the lights!
We've developed our own upgraded version of these that is our new favorite item expected later this year. Same appearance, but vastly more durable. Shhhh!
Thank you for sharing. Prime day deal ends today. Do you have Amazon prime membership? Do you think it's worth getting the membership in order to get the prime day deals? These prime deals are tempting but I don't want membership from all over the place. My Costco membership is enough for now. You got me thinking about the holidays, lol.
Probably not just for deals. If you buy a lot from Amazon you can get free shipping with Prime along with TV shows, movies. Etc. If you would utilize all they have to offer, it probably would be worth it. Buzz
@@BuzzRetirementGarage I have been getting free shipping with amazon for years without prime membership. It used to be if you spend $25 dollars or more you get free shipping but the last few months, they changed it to if you spend $35 or more you get free shipping, and your items usually get delivered in about 5 days.
Great info from the Buzz. Takes me back when replacing bulbs was fun one out one in easy because of the wiring. Products made today have by design must replace whole strand or go crazy trying to fix at least for this dinosaur. All The Best To You & Mrs Buzz! Be Well Be Safe & Stay Blessed.
