Just remember once I sell the Porsche, that will give me enough money to not only get my Audi A4 starting, but also running fine. So bare with me through this worldwide epidemic COV19 crisis. Selling my Porsche will take some time now.
Thanks for pointing out the locking tabs at 3:32. Was hard to see why it wouldn't just pull out in my dim light, and the Audi manual was its usual usefulness: remove wire holder from connector station. Hey Audi, maybe next time a little more how to do with that what to do.
I have a B4 A4 and I have to say that you have the most impressive Spoiler I've ever seen. Would you kindly share where you got that Spoiler/wing from. Would love to show you what I've doing to my A4.
I did my seats retrofit from fabric to leather. From A5 to A4, RHD car to LHD car, older airbag, an missing avant features on backseat. It was a long job 😂. But made it 2x videos on youtube. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Hey man i wish you the best of luck on getting your car back up and running i own a b8 a4 but i hope to do the same stuff you are doing i hope i wont have to rebuild it butttt... oil problems
2:43 Magic Eraser my guyyyy. That white sponge does wonders. A lil soap, a lil water and a light/medium front to back motion and that will make em BRAND NEW. .....You can thank me later...
Thank you for the advice, I never bothered to clean them since I'm planning to convert them into a couch and when it's completed, it's time to get cleaning!
I have a A4 B8.5 Sline with the alcantara seats and I found all red leather seats at a junk yard from an S5 B8 coupe. Do you think I would have any issues swapping the front and rear seats?
Front seats will bolt on just fine & work, rear sets unfortuntely will not bolt up and it will not work. But go ahead & buy the whole set, as you can sell the rear by itself for a good price and you can even use the money to buy the rear A4 seats. I actually have a an exact rear set of seats (extra ones, just the bottom bench & the single foldable rear seat) but it is the same magna red & black leather color as shown in this video.
Can you remove the backseat without being able to open the trunk? (Long story short, was replacing the trunk actuator and accidentally closed the trunk - manual cable no longer working as I had the cables disassembled)
Depends on the seats you have,if your seats do not fold & or do not have the middle seat trunk access foldable cover, then that will be a tricky repair.
Call your insurance for a locksmith, they might have some special tools to open the trunk, but let them be aware that the trunk has no manual key insert hole, it's all electronic & your rear seats don't fold because it's bolted up & the bolts are in the trunk. So without the manual lever wire working properly under the rear seats bench, breaking the latch or drilling holes into trunk may be the last resort option, if none of the above works as well as checking under the car where the trunk is to see if there is an opening to access the trunk striker plate & force open the latch manually, but I doubt there'll be any visible clear access under the car .
Or you remove the bottom bench & saw your seat backrest brackets off & you can force remove the seats like that. I'm sure there's enough bolts to get to from the cabin to at least be able to wiggle the seat out. But destroying or damaging anything is last resort, do not try that until you maxed out all your options. Best advice is to call a locksmith & be thorough with the person. I've never been in this situation before but what I've written above is the best assessment that I can make out of it.
Yes I have, feel free to message on instagram so we can exchange instructional pictures & videos. If you don't have instagram, I do have an email & snapchat. All those contact options are in my video description
No error codes will show up due to the fact the module is not installed on the car, therefore the extra unused plugs will be tucked away until i get the module with the wires
You have to remove the triple square bolts holding the bracket of the seats in place. It is located in between the bottom butt rest area & the 1 single foldable back seat, once the bracket it removed. The seats can slide out, but you also have to remove the seat belts too...
Hey man, thanks so much for this. I have a B8 rs5, also with those beige seats which look terrible now. I was thinking of changing them, but new seats were way too expensive. What is your opinion of getting them covered?
Like a seat cover? If so I am not a fan of seat covers. Might be better off getting the seats re upholstered by a professional & or if you want to shed the money buy the full interior of your car & get it installed.
Using common sense a cover could mean anything, remove the Beige leather seat cover that comes from factory & add in a new cover or a seat cover you can buy atWalmart, both are covers... If someone needs help they need to provide me with more details so I can better assist them. rethink your comment
Not really unless you want to get the airbags or the airbag/seatbelt sensor in the S4 seats working in your A4/S4, but since the base A4 does not come with the S4 seats with the sensors and the foldable seats etc. The wires and cables are technically useless since the A4 doesn't have the module for it, well in my case.
it is worth it, I've seen a lot of ppl doing it.. question, I'm planning on removing my back seats as well.. can they be taken out thru the trunk or I need to remove one front seat for access?!
Do you ahev any DIY tutorials for fuel pump replacement? I got a message on my B8 saying there's a fuel tank malfunction and was told to just replace the whole fuel pump because it could be a bad fuel sending unit.
@@jdmnismo7 Unfortunately I do not have a video at the moment replacing the B8 fuel pump, but I will be making one of the later future. What I suggest doing is use this following the video to remove the rear bench and then use a screwdriver to unscrew the cover. Then proceed properly un-clipping the wires & hoses located in there, then use the lefty-loosely method to remove the metalic ring around the fuel pump... If my limited instructions doesn't help you, then I would suggest looking at a video or searching the Audi forums or facebook Audi forums to see what other's say and maybe they can provide some pictures and videos.
@@MotorHeadTech okay, but if the car says "fuel tank malfunction" and ky gas gauge us showing empty but its not empty, I should start with my fuel pump right ? Because the car starts and everything but I think its something electrical thats causing the problem.
Seems like a bad fuel pump from the way you are describing it, the best way to find out is to scan the car for codes with a diagnostic scanner via the OBD port like VAGCOM or OBDeleven... etc and you'll get an error code for fuel tank/pump and that's one confirmation that your fuel pump has failed or is failing.
I gotta say when I saw the driver, he's exactly the incel type that would drive a car that looks like that. Also I have beige seats and I'm not gentle with them and they don't look like mice are crapping all over the place in them like in your car. Meanwhile, using a hex key on triple-square bolts. You know, bolts that are designed to hold seats in a crash and protect the occupants.

Getting my a5 done nipsey blue thanks for the vid buddy you always simplify it the best my dawg 💪🏼
I’ll update you on the upholstery done on the a5

I bought this aftermarket Audi TTRS spoiler off of eBay
@@MotorHeadTech I love it, I currently have an M4 style lip spoiler but nothing aggressive looking as yours. Thanks a lot.

I appreciate it, as long as it's not a FWD CVT youre chances are much better than me, as only quattro Audi's run better than the FWD models.

can the a4 base seats fold down?
Yes with the correct seat metalic bolt on bracket

how long in all did it take you to remove the seats front and back
About an hour
Did you get any codes? My A4 doesnt have memory seats, but the S4 seats Im going to install does.. Should I remove the memory seats module?
No error codes will show up due to the fact the module is not installed on the car, therefore the extra unused plugs will be tucked away until i get the module with the wires
I have the A4 B8 but my rear seats fold down to allow more trunk space. Still trying to find out how to take them out.

For audi a4 2013 tdi 2.0 110kw 150 ks same metod ?

How much do they weigh? Front and back
I received them on a pallet so if I remeber correctly, it was an estimated 150lbs

You can remove the back seats from the rear passenger doors.
These seats you taking out are rhe ones i needed lol. Had to settle for black 😔
I can sell you the whole set of beige seats for $300
Im in the uk but thanks anyways

Is this required to remove the fuel pump for a audi s4 B8? I need to replace my fuel pump and don't know where to start
Yes you have to remove the bottom rear bench to get to the fuel pump. I believe the B8/B8.5 A4 & S4 have the same location

whats the torque spec for reinstalling the bolts?
It doesn't really apply, it's not a turbo you are installing lol. Just be sure to not strip the bolt & the hole & make sure it is snug & tight
